Would not have guessed this at all, but shinzbass is my favorite lol. Eurobass as a close 2nd. I love that they have the standard modern metal basses covered, but also something for people who dont want that dingwall tone on everything
1:322:122:25 sound the best for this mix imo. I'd personally pick shinz or Grove leaning ever so slightly towards Grove, Unmasked last. Shinz and Grove just Goes so well with the guitar and kicks.
Thanks Keyan!! This is exactly what i need since i‘m going to purchase one today and i had a pretty hard time deciding wich one to take😂 Eurobass 3 is my favourite so far but Nocturnalbass is also all the way up there!
I personally use the Umansky for anything prog/djent, Euro for anything around the Nu, Death and older styles of metal and metalcore, and I bought the Shinz on Black Friday for different kinds of Nu metal and also for 80's stuff! (Because it sounds close enough to a 4 string PJ Spector). I want all of them, I plan on buying the Grove and Omni next for prog stuff, Djinn 2 for very specific kind of djent and the new Architects one probably for even more old school stuff. The only one I'm not sure I'll ever get is the Nocturnal, it just doesn't sound at all like an HH Stingray to me but more like some more generic HH bass.
So just for context, my place got robbed while I was in the hospital and I’ve never had to use anything like this, but don’t have an option now and I really want to use submission audio. I would say the type of music I’m playing is Breaking Benjamin Ish But I’m more curious about the easiest way to use the program I mean, do you just need some sort of midi controller? Or can you program it inside of logic pro keyboard or something or like shown on that screen? Does it already come with its own keyboard down below ? Final random stupid newbie question is there a way to just use something like this on a guitar that would actually be functional to track instead of just having to use a keyboard? Never had to go this whole digital route before, but I don’t have an option now . Sorry for the stupid questions lol
@feedthewolf6930 no such thing as a stupid question bro! Hope you're recovering from all of that :) As far as programming goes, I just do it on the piano roll inside the daw. You can use a midi keyboard for that too but it's not necessary :) There are midi guitars aswell that you can use instead of midi keyboards, but if you have the means to go buy one wouldn't you rather go buy a real bass again?
Which one should I pick? Bands I really like are Breaking Benjamin, Sleep Token, and Bilmuri. I already have Nocturnal and Djinnbass 2. What's the final one I should get for the bands mentioned?
My favorites out of all of them were djinnbass 2, nocturnal bass, eurobass, and umansky bass, I just prefer a more aggressive distortion. Id be happy to use any of them though I cant play my stuff on bass to save my life 😭
Wonder what they’re gonna be doing since no more bass. I guess we about to get a killer 6,7,8 guitars. Acoustic. That being said I really wish they’d do a 4 string Ernie Ball musicman in the true bass version
We will release very special bass libraries, although not in the near future. Our goal now is to expand our offerings with new and exciting products beyond just virtual instruments!
It's really cool that this video exists, but I have been informed that apparently Nolly Bass is the only bass library in existence that is 100 percent in tune. I don't know if you would be willing to test this theory.
Really helpful video with no bullshit or filler, a perfect guide for anyone who was unsure of which one to get. As for my unsolicited opinions on the tones: -DjinnBass to me is what I think of when I think of the NG Dingwalls. It even has the weird upper mid laser beam sound that actual NGs have as well. -EuroBass makes me nostalgic for Cannibal Corpse -GroveBass and UmanskyBass are kind of odd for me to hear since I'm used to hearing the actual players performing. It's kid of like the music equivalent of a wax statue. -ShinzBass has the most unique tone; definitely has the most pokey sound out of all of them. I looked it up and it's based of a Warwick Dolphin from a Job for a Cowboy Album. Neat.
It has a nice tone but I wanna get djinnbass 2 when I can afford it, cause it has more articulations Not that you care, I just felt like responding to this lmao
Nice comparison. My favorite is still the EuroBass3 with its round, full-bodied, versatile sound but the new ArchitectsBass came in second place. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds promising.👍
Thanks for watching guys!

Posting this one after black friday is diabolical lmao
True dawg. I literally just bought Omnibass Thursday
the BF Sales end Dec 2nd!
Black Friday sales are still on!!
1:32 2:12 2:25 sound the best for this mix imo. I'd personally pick shinz or Grove leaning ever so slightly towards Grove, Unmasked last. Shinz and Grove just Goes so well with the guitar and kicks.

I was just thinking of DMing you on Instagram asking what bass VST I should get and now here this video is 😂 🙏🏽
Was actually thinking about finding a video like this. Perfectly timed 😂

Breaking Benjamin still rocks
You don’t need anything else, just write.
@@RefactoringRyan great, thanks man!
Wait where did you see this was the last???
Groove bass makes the guitars sound better
Soo to use this bass i need to buy two things? NI KONTAKT and then bass? kinda expensive or i can open just the bass in FL studio without kontakt?
You can use the free Kontakt Player instead of the full paid version of Kontakt
Real talk, they sound good, but in a mix I could hardly tell the difference in tone between any of these
My favorites out of all of them were djinnbass 2, nocturnal bass, eurobass, and umansky bass, I just prefer a more aggressive distortion. Id be happy to use any of them though I cant play my stuff on bass to save my life 😭
I was jus thinking about this yesterday as to why they have so many
No more releases from Submission????
Right! Wondering why.
Architects and Umansky are my picks
While I agree, you might wanna change your pfp before you say ANYTHING about bass lmao
@@SmokeyG69 😂

Of course you do this video like 1 day after I shell out for Djinn bass :P

That would be cool but apparently they want to move beyond virtual instruments
Djinbass is just right
Do you know why Submission Audio wont be putting out any more bass libraries?
We will release very special bass libraries, although not in the near future. Our goal now is to expand our offerings with new and exciting products beyond just virtual instruments!
There it is, from the horse’s mouth!
@SubMissionAudioOfficial that's awesome man, you've dominated the virtual bass industry, I can't wait to see what you explore next 🫡
@@SubMissionAudioOfficial No PunkBass II with truBass?

How was that measured and who tested it?
Sounds interesting
@josuastangl7140 apparently if you put the DIs through a tuner, you can see how off they all are.
Grove and Shinz for me

Do what? Why are they done with bass?
Don't know why people is just not choosing noctual over everything is just it. Everything else is too clanky for me.
never realized how good nocturnal bass sounded
Me personally, I prefer the Nolly Bass Library
