I have a V8 soundcard. It doesn't say the effects hehe when you press it. For me it worked great without the phantom power but I also bought the phantom power just for that extra boost in clarity. The V8 sound card is a pretty good entry level soundcard/board specially when you need that extra control over your audio (input volume, audio monitoring etc.). For me it served as another plug for my headphones cause I only have one audio jack on my laptop and you can pass your laptop audio to the V8 and plug your headphones onto it. That hiss could also be removed pretty well with software and OBS Noise Suppression if you're streaming or recording on your PC. I won't say na you shouldn't buy it but there are probably better ones out there but for a higher price.

It's not about the microphone, it is all about how you amplify and how you convert the analog audio signal to digital. I totally agree with you. Some aspiring singer rightnow are using V8, the problem with V8 is you can clearly hear the echoes instead of the vocals and also, V8 is not a great soudcard/audio interface. My current set up rightnow is BM800, a $10 pre amp, and a usb soundcard. My voice from the BM800 is clear.
I don't know why people are hating on this guy. I mean, I just literally bought a BM800 set with v8 soundcard without Phantom Power and I really got a lot of issues like hissing, buzzing, and many more. And no one should expect great quality from cheap prices you know. But for now, I do get his point that for "the meantime" solution is to buy a phantom power that's it.
Haha.. I just bought one yesterday and now I see your video.. hoho.. and I had a BM800 over there as well .. now I have to say that setting the mic with gain level 75 (as you indicated in one of your videos) the noise was totally blow off! So, right now it is working just perfect. The card came with another mic also cheap en-core 300 and it works better than the BM800 must said. I found very nice that the accompanion background music I can add it through BT with no more cables. I just needed the V8 to use the condensed mics properly to record some audios. BTW your channel is amazing.. thank you so much for your dedication and professionalism .. had to said as well.. big hugs from Costa Rica.
I tried recording guitar with it and it sounds okay. I think you can get away with it especially when you can have the eq in mixing. However the bass and treble is not that usable. But the convenience of it is, you can connect it to a phone. It will be a lot for those that are starting out and it will open up the possibilities for them to learn. Yeah it has noise and people slightly misuse the the echo/reverb. But thank you for informing your audience about it.
I dont get the dislikes and why are there so many hate? I mean he is talking sense tbh. you get what you paid for. hindi lang siguro masyadong observant yung mga tao when it comes to sound as long as na may mic sila oks na yun tapos mura pa. Well yes the price matter but since andami ng mga cheap mics na lumalabas like maono, boya, fifine . those products sounded way more better than the bm800. kung walang wala talaga kayo sa budget and gusto niyo ng cheap mic to make you look cool sa mga pop filters and soundcard oh go no one is stopping you from buying that. but as a sound engineer student i have to agree with this guy here.
I had one and every issues mentioned in the vid is accurate. This thing dont have the proper preamp to drive a condenser mic and a lot of noise can be heard from both inputs (mics and instruments). It is also worth to mention the wobbly knobs that isnt butter-smooth when increasing gain, giving you large chunks at higher clicks. the insrument/dynamic input feels cheap as any cables hooked to it doesnt feel secure. DO NOT BUY IT GUYS IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. better save it for more worthy budget interfaces like behringer, m-audio or if you can save a lot more, Focusrite -scarlett solo will be your best bet.
Bro thanks for the video tho, I haven’t bought the v8 sound card yet am still saving for it, I have made it 100% sure for my self o buy it because of the video you played when bro was recording with it, am not gonna lie the performance is wow ❤❤❤❤
Hi NORCLA!! It's a good thing I came to your channel before buying a V8 setup. I'm just starting of with a music setup. 1. What are your thoughts on the K1 soundcard set with the LCV 240 mic? Seller claims you don't need a phantom power if mic is connected with the K1 soundcard. 2. How about the V9 soundcard? Is it any better than the V8? they claim it does not have a hissing sound. 3. Isn't the BM 800 the one causing the hiss? 4. Most importantly, what setup do you recommend? I had a lot of questions. hopefully you could accommodate my questions.. thanks in advance
Very informative, IMO this V8 is good for those ppl who doesnt have enough knowledge about audio interface. The built in sound effects makes it fancy that makes ppl hook into it. But ye I agree with you, Instead of buying this soundcard better to get the Phantom power. I appreciate your effort with this video. SUBBED !!!
Thanks for the kind words! You made a very good point -- manufacturers often bloat feature lists to make up for quality. You can definitely buy the V8 if you think that voices and soundeffects are the foundation of content. However, I strongly believe that quality vocals are the foundation of personality-based entertainment, and from this perspective, the V8 fails.
Very informative vids. I just wanted to ask you, for a voice over/podcasts use, mas gaganda ba kapag may phantom power ang condenser mic? Or okay na ung Voice Meeter lang gamit? Baka pwede mo din pala review ung Mickle microphones. Thanks!
But the fact is v8 soundcard have a lot of disadvantages. You can see in the other videos, people don't recommend buying the v8 soundcard because I already said, it has many disadvantages
Thanks, I was going to buy a v8 sound card or phantom power, didn't really like the special effects on the v8 sound card and the echo of it, only needing phantom power for my BM 800, VoiceMeeter and Phantom power will make your microphone voice so CRISPY love it 👌💕
I know right? I check this on our local e-commerce. They sell this mic including the stand as well for a good price. It is good start for us small channel.
True. Recently just got it and tested it for days, I watched so many YT tutorials just to fix issues but I guess I got a faulty one. Tested it on laptop and smartphone, not good. Luckily I was able to return it and get a refund. I got it to work for a while, but it nope, not worth it. I got mine for 695 (discounted). I'll pick a better one, next time even if it costs a bit more.
Well if you're going for an investment I will recommend a proper audio interface you can start with Behringer U-Phoria UM2 , it has phantom power as well as the xenyx pre amp , the thing is if you're going to buy v8 , at the end of the day you will need a phantom power, it is inconvenience if you're gong to buy two items if you could take advantage of having a proper audio interface especially if you're a musician or a content creator.
meron na akong um2 and mejo hindi ako nalilinisan sa background noise, so umorder pa rin ako ng v8, at least cguro for the additional effects, so malalaman ko pagdating ng order ko kung ano setup ang ok at kung mas malinis ang background noise. at least may ganitong vlog on issues about v8, nakikita ang pros and cons
@@mymy2987 phantom power is a just a phantom power . But the Xenyx q502 is an audio interface with a builtin phantom power.
I'm using it now on my live stream.
Been watching your video for quite sometime now. I'm new to live streaming and i prefer to use my go-to dynamic microphone. My question is would it be safe to use my dynamic microphone with my maono soundcard using an xlr to 3.5 mm cable? Why or why not. Thanks in advance.
It might be a bad one but it is a good start for small youtube. It is quite good when I heard it, of course you need better soundcard to make decent. It is a good start for small youtuber, that is something you must pointed it out. Until we can afford better mic and soundcard.
Whats with the dislikes? I bought the V8 soundcard and a BM800 Mic AND IT SUCKS! Waste of money. Actually you can just buy the BM800 by itself and a phantom power and that will work BETTER than with the V8 soundcard
I pinned your comment because you're the latest owner of a V8 soundcard who complained about it. Most owners of the V8 who commennt here share the same sentiment. Like I said in the video, better get a BM800 + phantom power. 😊
The phantom power, just in case you don't know, is ONLY supplying power to the BM800 bcoz it is a condenser microphone. You still need an amplifier like the V8 if you only use a phantom power. The V8 is affordable and makes a good job as an alternative for high-end amp. I can dispute your claim that the BM800 has a hiss when use with V8 which is a low-noise. If you're not a tech guy, don't argue with me bcoz i can fix your tv set, computer, etc.
You don't need the V8 at all for the BM800 once you have phantom power. V8 is not low noise, the components don't seem to be shielded from the power source which provides a lot of interference which I encountered in my actual review.
What audio interface do you use? Are you using Mac ba? Need your Help!!! Huhu I bought The v8soundcard it doesnt sound well. I love the quality of your voice sounds so professional
bought it for 300. Pretty cheap and effective interface alternative. I can't really hear any major hissing (I usually just adjust my audio on audacity) when I use it with my cheap bm800 even with my guitar. I guess it's dependent on where you get it and how you get it. I was probably lucky enough to get one in good condition.
I agree naman dito, lalo na para sa mga magagaling sa tunog like musicians o recording artists. I have BM800 and V8, pero meron talagang audio issues, that's why it is recommended na may PHANTOM POWER para mag-improved ang quality. Then kapag may budget kana then upgrade kana ng equipment na mas maganda. 🙂
This is great video. Nice. Informative. People just react, I think, because the equipment are very useful to them in a way and it is for a very cheap price. I guess this is applicable for amature, but for pro, it won't do. Techinically speaking, it really has its flaws and might not give the full potential of your equipment as he said. The quality of the sound isn't really cut for professional recording. I have started with these equipment for a quite long time and they gave a me nice intro into this industry but noticing some flaws I felt the need to upgrade my equipment. If you are looking for a great quality and you have budget, look for something that gives value to your money. For starters, it's good to start with something, but eventually if you will be looking for a greater quality, and you will really have to upgrade. But(again), if it's not something you do for a living and it is just for a hobby, well, I guess it's fine. Nice channel. Might hang around. 👍
WAAAAAAH salamat Kuys.
I have recently bought this product and actually paired it with BM-800 too... 😅.. My English is not that well otherwise I would have made a review video for all of those who understand English (I usually target the audience who speaks Urdu/Hindi). That being said, here is a advice to make your BM-800 Audio better with V8 Soundcard(if you have bought it already). I use Voicemod (its a free/paid software) so basically it has a noise suppressor(in free version too) which removes that hiss noise even if you are using the BM-800 without the V8 soundcard, but there is like a very little echo/hiss/robotic noise (most noticeable when editing your audio) [turn on the voice changer button so that it can work]. So, when I bought this Soundcard it actually helped, Although I wasn't expecting it to work like that. but now my audio is much much better and I don't think I need a phantom power now(Although maybe in future if my wallet allow me too). If you have bought it don't worry, you can stream, make contents etc. Hope this helps. 🙂 P.S: Adjustments needs to be made according to your voice.
Great video! Wanted to buy this for casual gaming but decided against it. Btw, how did you stick your noise absorption foam to your wall? Double sided tape doesn't work with mine.
despite getting alot of hate probably from v8 owner. this review is pretty spot on. i own one my self(also with the mentioned mic), not to be a DJ or record anyting, i was straight up bored and wanted to try something else(mostly because of google meet tho). on the day it came to my door step and pluging it in i found that the card cant drive the mic properly. my immediate thought was to throw an amp something like fiio A3, which i use daily to run my cans. as a person who never serious on doing stuff like this, ill say its a pretty ok i guess. for a person who is serious on using this and want his/her content quality to be the best investment. then, as the dude say, skip this. it will leave your viewer having impression of you having low quality set up. now that isnt as bad as it sound, but considering that you want to be competitive in that market, this should not be a thing to neglect. edit: people probably cant hear the differences on its quality if they have trash lvl headset or idk a 1$ earpiece. maybe, idk man, dont own any of that anymore, they dont last.
Good thing I found your video before purchasing v8 sound card. I want to spend my money on quality products even if they are expensive. What do you recommend though that is available in the PH market? Btw, you are good, thus, I hit the subscribed button.
i noticed too the "megaphone" like sound in other reviews...i thought it was just because of the effects they added (reverb / echo?). didn't realize it's from the mic/soundcard pala...
pretty sure its not from the soundcard, the megaphone-y sound its prolly because of how the user adjusted it on the soundcard/app he used. from my understanding the soundcard helps with the gain so the audio u produce is a lot cleaner (less hiss). if you have the bm 800 set try listening to it with and without the v8. the hiss is extremely noticeable when u just connect the mic to the integrated soundcard
I am using Q502USB, my setup for guitar recording was connected the guitar pedal output into the Q502USB 1st Channel. And the Q502USB output to PC USB. Do I need any other additional audio interface to record my guitar sir or that setup will be fine? I have a bit of a problem with noise, I cant figure out where it comes either from my computer itself or the fan (using the same power extension). Thank You, Bless from Malaysia. Stay Safe.
How can you say it is not good if you have not tested it. I own a v8 sound card and its ok. Not the best quality we may say, but for some it can help. And eventually can be able to buy a more expensive sound card or console.

Ok, now I agree with this video. It's not a quality device series. I bought V9 and found that it was unable to render the input audio from any source include microphones of all types. I returned it and bought v8. And yes, there are some minor noise issues, however, two major issues were 1. The Bass and Trebble were only coming in the monitor, but not on live, neither in recordings. 2. It was getting restarted when tried to connect BlueTooth. 3. Two buttons i.e. Electronic and another effect (forgot the name) were never found to be working, tested with musical instruments jacks as well.
Sa wakas po may nahanap ako na sang ayon sa pananaw ko about bm800 and v8.. salute sir.. Godbless..
I bought 2, using in my daily streaming every single day and everytime people still asking me what I am using because the music quality it’s close to CD. The voice effect it’s good. Just beware that your surge line it’s clean. To understand that, just unplug the usb and let the mixer to work with its internal battery. Best 16 dollars I spent in my life ❤
For musical recording, I agree that V8 is insufficient. The cheap V8 appeals to the online sellers where their audience don't care on the hifi details but the sound effects. I Like your video for the additional information.

Well yes the price matter but since andami ng mga cheap mics na lumalabas like maono, boya, fifine . those products sounded way more better than the bm800. kung walang wala talaga kayo sa budget and gusto niyo ng cheap mic to make you look cool sa mga pop filters and soundcard oh go no one is stopping you from buying that. but as a sound engineer student i have to agree with this guy here.
now I see the difference, since i just bought my Q502USB and now my mic quality doesn’t have that hiss sound. Thank You norcla ❤️
Boom! You're welcome Christian MC :D
What do you expect? It's cheap. But for the beginner it's already good.
I totally agree with this! I bought the set and was really disappointed with the V8.
Thanks for the perspective!
Same :((
Same, mabilis din masira. Ilang gamitan lang akin then bumigay na though 1 to 3 hrs ko lang naman ginagamit, wala pang 1 month giba na hahaja
I don't see why this video needs to be disliked that much! Keep doing what you're doing man! And a great honest review!
Bro thanks for the video tho, I haven’t bought the v8 sound card yet am still saving for it, I have made it 100% sure for my self o buy it because of the video you played when bro was recording with it, am not gonna lie the performance is wow ❤❤❤❤
Im glad to be here before you get to 1k subs! I want to be part of this journey. More power Sir Norcla! Quality vids!
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much for the support! :D
Hi Kuya Shattered PH. Is this the reason why you're recommending GS3? Thanks for the info Sir Norca and Kuya Shattered. Hehe 💕
Thanks 🙏 for this brother...
Please 🙏 can you help 💁 me to get the v8 sound card driver? Please 🙏
Very informative vids. I just wanted to ask you, for a voice over/podcasts use, mas gaganda ba kapag may phantom power ang condenser mic? Or okay na ung Voice Meeter lang gamit? Baka pwede mo din pala review ung Mickle microphones. Thanks!
"Do not buy a product which you havent even tried."
But the fact is v8 soundcard have a lot of disadvantages. You can see in the other videos, people don't recommend buying the v8 soundcard because I already said, it has many disadvantages
if you don't have enough money to buy other better soundcards then choose the v8 soundcard
If you have v8soundcard.... i'm sorry☹
Thanks, I was going to buy a v8 sound card or phantom power, didn't really like the special effects on the v8 sound card and the echo of it, only needing phantom power for my BM 800, VoiceMeeter and Phantom power will make your microphone voice so CRISPY love it 👌💕
The funny thing is v8 is really good for low budget streamer like me
yes.
Wc,
I know right? I check this on our local e-commerce. They sell this mic including the stand as well for a good price. It is good start for us small channel.
@@MascrisSensei Yes its a complete set and I'm still enjoying thr v8 in Omegle ahhahahaahahah voice changer is so funny

Hi Norcla! I use ATR2500X. How to reduce background noise? What do I need to purchase? Audio interface? Thanks in advance for the reply.
It’s a USB mic, no need for an audio interface. Do check my video on reducing hiss!
I agree with this review😢 The V8 soundcard is just a waste of money. If youre lucky, you receive a good one but mostly it has a ground sound💔
I just wanna ask, what types of mic do you recommend?
I really appreciate your info and reviews. :)
Well said!
meron na akong um2 and mejo hindi ako nalilinisan sa background noise, so umorder pa rin ako ng v8, at least cguro for the additional effects, so malalaman ko pagdating ng order ko kung ano setup ang ok at kung mas malinis ang background noise. at least may ganitong vlog on issues about v8, nakikita ang pros and cons
Anu po b mas maganda for bm800 sir phantom power or xenyx q502usb sna po msgot
👍👍
@@mymy2987 phantom power is a just a phantom power . But the Xenyx q502 is an audio interface with a builtin phantom power.
I'm using it now on my live stream.
I see what you did there, very informative. Very cool man 👌
Been watching your video for quite sometime now. I'm new to live streaming and i prefer to use my go-to dynamic microphone. My question is would it be safe to use my dynamic microphone with my maono soundcard using an xlr to 3.5 mm cable? Why or why not. Thanks in advance.
I REALLY LOVE YOUR SPEAKING VOICE, THE WAY YOU SPEAK, AND THE AUDIO. 😫❤️
@@RoMo-mlbb thats not even what a simp means lmao
It might be a bad one but it is a good start for small youtube. It is quite good when I heard it, of course you need better soundcard to make decent. It is a good start for small youtuber, that is something you must pointed it out. Until we can afford better mic and soundcard.
I wouldn’t recommend this unless you only use a mobile device
Whats with the dislikes? I bought the V8 soundcard and a BM800 Mic AND IT SUCKS! Waste of money. Actually you can just buy the BM800 by itself and a phantom power and that will work BETTER than with the V8 soundcard
I pinned your comment because you're the latest owner of a V8 soundcard who complained about it. Most owners of the V8 who commennt here share the same sentiment. Like I said in the video, better get a BM800 + phantom power. 😊
@@NORCLA hi
The phantom power, just in case you don't know, is ONLY supplying power to the BM800 bcoz it is a condenser microphone. You still need an amplifier like the V8 if you only use a phantom power. The V8 is affordable and makes a good job as an alternative for high-end amp. I can dispute your claim that the BM800 has a hiss when use with V8 which is a low-noise. If you're not a tech guy, don't argue with me bcoz i can fix your tv set, computer, etc.
Pwede bayan for live? Maganda rin kasi v8 for live and nakita ko lang sa bm800 is mic lang talaga siya unlike V8 sound card
For this video I use the Behringer Q502USB! Yup, the V8 sound card is pretty terrible!
bought it for 300. Pretty cheap and effective interface alternative. I can't really hear any major hissing (I usually just adjust my audio on audacity) when I use it with my cheap bm800 even with my guitar. I guess it's dependent on where you get it and how you get it. I was probably lucky enough to get one in good condition.
How do u work it
Thanks 🙏 for this brother...
Please 🙏 can you help 💁 me to get the v8 sound card driver? Please 🙏
Have you tried Behringer U-Phoria UM2/UMC22?
They are similarly priced with Behringer Xenyx Q502 USB, which one do you think is better?
i dont use phantom power, I just plug and play direct on my laptop. Bm-800 has alot of background noice but Im removing it on my DAW
I bought one it's on the freight right now, please help on how to solve noise falacy bro
Have you tried to compared the TAKSTAR TAK45, Takstar TAK35, BOYA M1000 and Rode NT Mini? Interested to hear your opinion on these condenser mics.
WAAAAAAH salamat Kuys.
Hello, I ordered the V9X Pro soundcard. Do you feel the exact same about this unit as you do about the V8?
Sir thank you so mga suggestions! Phantom power+ voicemeeter FTW!
P.S: Adjustments needs to be made according to your voice.
Thanks 🙏 for this brother...

Great video! Wanted to buy this for casual gaming but decided against it. Btw, how did you stick your noise absorption foam to your wall? Double sided tape doesn't work with mine.
I'm here because I already experienced the hissing of my audio after 20 covers.

despite getting alot of hate probably from v8 owner. this review is pretty spot on. i own one my self(also with the mentioned mic), not to be a DJ or record anyting, i was straight up bored and wanted to try something else(mostly because of google meet tho). on the day it came to my door step and pluging it in i found that the card cant drive the mic properly. my immediate thought was to throw an amp something like fiio A3, which i use daily to run my cans. as a person who never serious on doing stuff like this, ill say its a pretty ok i guess.
for a person who is serious on using this and want his/her content quality to be the best investment. then, as the dude say, skip this. it will leave your viewer having impression of you having low quality set up. now that isnt as bad as it sound, but considering that you want to be competitive in that market, this should not be a thing to neglect.
edit: people probably cant hear the differences on its quality if they have trash lvl headset or idk a 1$ earpiece. maybe, idk man, dont own any of that anymore, they dont last.
Thanks for the well-thought comment! Super agree with the $1 trash headphone comment!
I’m about to buy V8, it was so timing that I saw your video.. whew! Thanks!!,

@@nicodalde4425 this! It has a built-in "hiss" everytime you speak. It's in the sound card! Dammit!
Hello sir thanks for featuring my channel & my cover! more power to your channel! ❤️
Stay Safe.
Wow this is really helpful! I might buy phantom power soon! Time to save 😍
Go and save for it! :)
How can you say it is not good if you have not tested it. I own a v8 sound card and its ok. Not the best quality we may say, but for some it can help. And eventually can be able to buy a more expensive sound card or console.

phantom power daw po
As long as were happy using it then its fine, not to discriminate other what they are using, its such a great feelings seeing someone happy even just a little thing they appreciated, yung kasabihan na marunong mag appreciate kahit sa maliit na bagay, basta nakapagligayalang and in this content its just comparing what u using , and something discriminating what other using which it makes their feelings bad 😔 how sad
For the mic, will the bm800 be good enough when paired with phantom power/behringer preamp, or would you recommend a different microphone?
It's actually useable. Just buy high purity cables though to reduce the noise floor.
Any tips to improve a dynamic microphone?
Godbless..
(edit)
but v8 is Super Good for its price and sa ibang pagkagamit nya.
Dual Live Cam
Dual Output/earphone
2 inputs
+ Playback input
for only 400 to 600 pesos.
Can u suggest something of same price but higher quality?
People don't buy because it's good quality but cheap,so they get the quality they paid for
I bought 2, using in my daily streaming every single day and everytime people still asking me what I am using because the music quality it’s close to CD. The voice effect it’s good. Just beware that your surge line it’s clean. To understand that, just unplug the usb and let the mixer to work with its internal battery. Best 16 dollars I spent in my life ❤
