HUGE KOI POND! That is really the best way to describe this project. This is the start of a 3-part series featuring a really large water garden in Stillwater, Minnesota. Our client contacted us after searching for a Pond Builder in Minnesota, we had a great first meeting and after showing him Project #23 of 2019 he had decided. We were going to be the guys that could give him his dream pond for his Koi! He told us this is something he had dreamed of owning since he was 16…. How cool is our job??? We get to deliver someone’s dream! The next coolest part? They were married right next to this amazing water feature! Thank you for joining us for Episode #79, Part 1 of 3 Project #6 2020! In this series, we are featuring a huge ecosystem pond… well actually a recreation swimming pond if desired! The pond is 30 feet wide by 45 feet long and 6 feet deep! It is huge! We used over 80 tons of stone to make this water garden look as natural as possible! We have water jets, an up-flow system, an intake bay, an external pump, a wetland filter, an impressive waterfall and encouragement of interactivity everywhere! Please feel free to ask your questions in the comments… there is just too many details to list them all!

We have some projects coming up where we're going to utilize Jets again. I'll do my best to film more about the installation next time!
Nice tease on the up flow..lol. I know you're putting a jet in the pond. Do you think a jet on the bottom could support a smaller pond or also go with a up flow?
The aquascape ecosystem approach works without need for oxygenation on the button up to 3.5 feet deep. That said, Extra flow and aeration are never a bad thing.

Thanks for the good work you are doing although I want to learn how to construct waterfalls or become an waterfalls contractor, please advise cause am in Kampala,Uganda.
I believe there is a Certified Aquascape contractor in Ghana, so I am sure there are resources to help you. I would contact Aquascape Inc directly and see what they recommend. I know there are tons of online courses available, like the Aquascape University which I highly recommend! Thank you for following!
So cool! I just dug a 20x40 (excavation area) in my back yard and your 25x40 looks way bigger than mine. Does the camera add 10' just like it adds 10 lbs?
The trees help it feel huge and nestled in there... 20 by 40 is still huge. How deep did you go?
@@PondKingWaterGardensMN I'll be at 4' when I finish digging. Have limited access and using a JD 35g. Have to hand dig the last shelf as the excavator just can't get a good, clean bite at it from where I can set the machine. Probably could have planned that better...
Yeah we did a lot of ramps to reach deep on this project. Lots of folding liner back and forth to build and dig.
