What kind of bolt do you for concrete?
Also what bolts would I use to mount a post against a house?

I like to use redhead wedge anchor bolts for concrete. Also LTD or Tapcons are popular also. And for mounting to a house I prefer a good outdoor rated screw. The new structural screws seem to be great for everything now. Otherwise I have used 3/8" lag screws plenty of times. I do suggest a sealer to prevent water damage.
