Probably the first thing I do when I start on Earth is just fly my character way up high and scout for the nearest source of water, be it a lake or snow caps on mountains. I make note of the general direction and make my way there ASAP. Incidentally, when starting on Mars, I usually find underground ice deposits to be plentiful. Otherwise, I'd end up heading for the polar caps.

(3:30) You are in need of hydrogen (H2). You are talking about building an oxygen (O2) farm. O is not H2. The reason you use ice to make H2 it’s because ice is frozen water (H2O). The O2/H2 converter splits the H2O molecule into separate H2 (liquid hydrogen) and O2 (liquid oxygen, which is commonly called LOX). What kind of engineers are you??????
You haven’t put a battery on your base yet??????? So you’re wasting the unused power instead of storing it????? Where are you going to get your power from if the wind stops (like when it gets foggy?????
