On another video she had a different hand independence exercise. After I mastered it, it was truly a break-through milestone in my playing. I improved much faster and my brain rewired itself to allow me to do things I didn't think I could do.

@1:51 yeah, I agree with what you said . My hands really don't want to remember the pattern at the time, but when I come back the next day, it suddenly becomes easier. For me, practicing an hour everyday before going to bed is the most effective method.

Ok..i can't say i mastered this... but it took 5 days to be really comfy and switching the patterns on the fly. this is awesome. day one was...not good...day two was 'oooo' day 3 was 'yay' day 4 was. "i think i got it" and day 5 was...nice. nice. now just have to pick up more useful patterns. Thank you so much for this!!!

Okay. I'm here and on Day One of this round of exercises. Reminding myself how the previous hand independence exercises (5 note scales together, one hand quarter notes and other hand eighth notes) that first day felt impossible and yet it really did just take a matter of 10 minutes a day and a month later, I could do them with my eyes closed or while listening to another lesson. I don't see being able to get through this in five days, but I know that I'll get there! And counting the beats really helps! I both love these exercises but I also hate them--until it finally clicks in and that little accomplishment feels so good!

Long time guitar player just picked up piano. These exercises have really helped me with developing hand independence! I've finished day 2 and will be moving to day 3 soon. One thing I do to help develop my brain and fluidity is play the lesson as shown until I have it down pat. Then I start moving my right hand up an octave, then back down, then to another octave. It keeps the brain working and not getting use to just one position. Thanks for doing these!

Great video! I was really intimidated by Day 4 as it was the hardest and the clip is so short which makes it seem like it should be easy haha. However, I just broke it down step by step and then went back to basics to practice it and eventually got it. Practice left slow, practice right hand slow then bring it together. When playing together I had to take notice of which notes to play together from both hands otherwise I got very confused. Realising each strike of the right hand aligned up with the 1st, 3rd and 5th finger presses of the left hand was very key. Still sounds a little awkward sometimes, but definitely made a big improvement in a short time! Now just daily practice of the last one till it works! Thank you!
