I have my husband's grandmother's Jenny Lynn bed from 1901. She received it for a wedding gift. This bed was very precious to my husband. He died in 2011 with cancer and I wanted to honor his gift to keep the bed. I'm in California and there is no desire to have this bed for anyone. I decided to turn it into a bench. It has been beat up quite a bit. Watching you has taught me so very much. I'm 71 so let's hope I finish my task before I get too old. Thank you.

During the time to finish this piece, you could've built the same with new materials. But then you'll end up with a new piece and not the antique. I really admire the passion and care you put into each restoration that you do. These pieces have history and definitely deserve all of it!

I really enjoyed watching this transformation from what most would consider dump material. You show great attention to detail, furniture integrity, and a great artistic eye. You turned an ugly duckling into a swan.

Yes it is somehow fun and satisfying to scrape off that old paint. I hope your business prospers. I use a lot of your ways on my hobby projects. Thank you very much.

My grandfather who did a lot of furniture refinishing told us that these old kitchen dressers were made out of mostly scrap wood and were never meant to be stained.

Must comment on this. This is especially amazing. This project looked like a candidate for the burn pile. you have brought it back to life but more than that it is beautiful and will be usable for many years. Have you ever watched Engles coach shop ? He does similar work. I think you would like his work.He rebuilds old wagons and in a way it is similar to what you do. Your work is so amazing.

Absolutely loved this video! I stripped down 2 really heavy pine (and other wood) french doors with layers of paint. The bottom layer was like cement! Now I realize it was probably enamel as you mentioned. With the crappy stripper and a heat gun, it came off. I love your videos cuz I learn so much I can apply to my little projects! Thanks so much! You are a restoration wizard!
