I feel the same dude i only have a 1.6 zetec 2008 yet i love it it looks just right i just need my roof rack sorted i keep on wanting a ST3 love the extras might stick an ST spoiler on her lol and upgraded headlights i travel a lot so this engine does me better with fuel i dont like diesel, i like to do my own servicing and petrol is freedom with this motor for me one other thing i will change, my motor is black so the chrome bonnet lip at the grill is going black also subtle change but will make her younger looking i think the ST is colour coordinated ?😋
From the way you describe the Ford Focus there may be other makes that perhaps excel in different aspects but I think the Focus offers a better all-round product. It certainly offers more substance than a Vauxhall, and feels better built and more solid than its French rivals. More affordable than a VW Golf. But out of the different styles of Ford Focus to date, the one that spanned from 2008 to 2011 is probably the best looking of the 5 or 6 styles so far. As the advert on British TV put it, Beautifully Arranged!
On this model focus the bonnet lock mechanism which is key operated can fail at any stage locking you out .this is a very common fault which has happened to my focus but it is fixable
It's a decent follow up to the mk 1 but it lacked the class and the looks of the original. Still a fine car just a bad follow up to the class leading mk1. And it was heavier
Are you serious? Boot leaks are a common intrinsic nightmare. 5 speed gearbox is SO outdated. Rear drum brakes in the 21st century?? Get a Mazda 3 instead, rock solid.
Rear brakes are generally much less used than front ones so it literally doesn't matter , 5 speed gearbox in a 100hp car was normal back than , this is not a 150hp diesel engine lol , the suspension under this car alone worth more than the whole Mazda....
Didn't even know they come with rear drum brakes. Never seen one with those and mine doesn't either. I suppose they were on the base model but they're all pretty well equipped
I've had my 2010 2.5 focus automatic since it was 12 months old its now done 107 k and still feels great to drive .
How about the maintenance and part review?
I think the mk2 focus is the best car in the world. Everything is perfect with this car and I love mine.

Just swapped a 2018 suzuki vitara for a 2007 focus-wouldnt change back!
I also have it and I like it a lot. The location of the cabin filter is not great, though ;)
I love my Mk2.5 Focus. It's great for chucking around the back roads and has always got me to where I need to go every race weekend
I got my 2008 Ford Focus in 2013 and still driving it.... great car and not a problem ....with it
Just bought one a focus sport tdci with only 30 thousand miles on the clock . Very happy with it.

Hi may I know 2009 ford focus zetec won't come with fuel cap ?
On this model focus the bonnet lock mechanism which is key operated can fail at any stage locking you out .this is a very common fault which has happened to my focus but it is fixable
Strange curvy dashboard as well
Still a great choice for an affordable car.
I love you Focu ❤❤❤
Looking at a 2010 focus se today
Looking at ‘09 SEL today

All the 1.5 TDCi's (120bhp) are ULEZ compliant and can do 700m miles on a full tank and Zero road Tax.
I had similar with the 1.5 tdci in my mondeo. I gave that to my daughter in law, it's the family long distance car 🎉
Is PSA 1.6 hdi to be avoided?
No
does this use the problematic powershift transmission?
No
Can anybody help me with how to mod my 2010 ford focus se like I'm going to get the turbo kit but what else such as suspension and breaks

Mazda 3's can suffer underbody corrosion very badly.
