I have Focus mk2 2007, 1.6 100HP. I have done almost 280.000km with no problems. Great car with great engine.
250.000 i had a problem. Engine computer HS. 1,000€ :/. But very good car
Nothing more annoying when the clocks give out, and your car just does a complete shutdown on the motorway with no way to start it or even power steering to put it in the hard shoulder, good times
Mine is the same, 2007. I've had it since 2014. Today I removed the DPF and 2 years ago I did the turbo. Great car, but I had to remove the DPF, it started regenerating a lot.

This engine likes to be reved high, it pulls hardest from 6000 to 7000 rpm. Although it can be driven smoothly at under 1500 rpm and still pulls in 5th gear from like 40 km/h in town without bogging down.

Design looks unique
Fell in love with this car the first 10 minutes i drove this lol. I drove several other cars before deciding to buy this. The only issue i would say this car has is that it doesnt have bluetooth to play music from your phone. Despite that it is a beautiful car, very comfortable etc. In a couple days i will finally own this beauty cant wait!
You have aux in your glove compartment. Aux has way better quality than bluetooth. Thus you can use your phone for music (yt music - allows you to download your playlist, use that, there are zones with poor signal) and use it for navigation/waze.
I bought bluetooth and plug it at the back of the radio, now I have it on the button aux. It automatically connects with my phone after I get in the car (even the radio is turned off, because it connects to the module).
You also better do listen to the real world and your surrounding while driving a car on public roads.. Unless you are an islamic terrorist of course..
I have one here in Argentina, it has 110 HP. Great car very reliable

I was working in DEUSland (DEmonic country of father hitler) and I was working with people of Jemen, Senegal, Africa.

My grandma have the same car, but it's sedan and that Focus has 1.6 Ti-VCT 115 PS engine. It has around 90.000 km on the odometer

Very good car, i have same one. 400k+km on my and it keep going. On a Spring will rebuild engine and i hope 400k+km enjoy again.

This 1.6 is a tank in terms of reliability.
Mine is the same, 2007. I've had it since 2014. Today I removed the DPF and 2 years ago I did the turbo. Great car, but I had to remove the DPF, it started regenerating a lot.

I do love the sound of the Zetec in any size. 🙂 love the 1st gear whine and the throaty roar. Ecoboost a bit boring for me!
Focus mk2 has Duratec engine and old Focus has even better Zetec engines :) Ecoboosts are piece of crap!
@@JuhaNyman97 I'm not saying your wrong but are you sure? Sounds just like my 1999 1.25 Zetec Fiesta? They must be very similar units and use the same running gear. I think the 1.8 onwards in duratec having researched it. I'm not sure either but this very much sounds like Zetec. Whiny Engine, starter motor etc. 🙂
@@alextoft9199 You are correct. This is a Zetec unit, the same as in a MK1 Focus.

It's 7,5/100 in the city on average. Longer trip 6/100 easy.
Thirsty in town but much better on the open road. In town I struggle to get above 35MPG (8L/100KM) whereas on the motorway, I get that doing 85MPH (136KPH). On the motorway you can expect the mid 40s doing 70MPH (112KPH) with some overtaking. I managed to get over 56MPG (5L/100KM) before driving 55-60MPH (90KPH-100KPH), going very light on the throttle and sticking behind lorries. It really depends on your driving style but if you drive sedately, you can definitely get the figures the car claims.

1- about 180k miles, With normal operation, no sporty driving, oil changed at 5-6 K Miles
2-With the automatic gearbox it is vital to maintain it at maximum 40k miles

The Uk must have a different mo2 than the us cause I used to have a 2008 ford focus ses and that is definitely not the same car. They have the same length and I can see a kinda of similarity but not at the same time
Completely different cars. EU Mk2 is a platform shared with Volvo S40 and Mazda 3. Very good car.
