Hope you all enjoy my experience with the Steam Deck! (Note if the video looks bad, it will be processed into 4K soon!)

I call it more of an opinion piece than a review but I appreciate it :D

I've not heard of this issue before:o I recommend Google, someone in the community will know :)
Try uninstalling Decky Loader manually first & see what happens :)

Excellent review and appreciate the chapters! I see you have PCSX2 on your deck as well. I’ve been enjoying Onimusha 2 on deck myself.

I wouldn't call it a review & more of a general discussion but regardless I'm happy you like what you saw :)
Oh definitely, been playing Need For Speed Most Wanted!

I'm just at the intro where you mention competition. I personally see no competition at all, I'll be running my deck into the ground until there's another hand held with two trackpads like steamdeck has. Heck I won't even upgrade if deck2 comes without those trackpads. They are crucial for me.
It takes time to get used to around 2 weeks of 40min practice before bed. But it's worth it. I haven't used joystick for cam controls ever since.
On left stick or pad you can create virtual menu, that is activated by touch and works on release. So you can have a circle of letters that you can activate almost as fast as if you have full keyboard. Touch the pad - >chose letter I - - - > release the pad - - - > inventory is open.
And the right pad for camera controls. I can't explain it, but I couldn't play fps games with joystick ever, I'm mouse and keyboard guys. Joystick just never worked for me because of camera speed. But with pad I'm somewhat able to aim, still nothing close to mouse but at least in the direction of target and by spraying bullets I can progress in games. And the aim is improving.
But now I play even arpg with controller support with pad as a mouse rather then local controller support thst hides mouse cursor.
I wish that everyone give a shot to touch pads. It's so damn incredible I want controller with all of the deck functionality. TouchPads, joysticks and buttons.

I always say my words with the average consumer in mind as not everyone wants a Steam Deck & we must acknowledge the other PC handhelds :)
I also love the touch pads, they make navigation much easier & they have worked nicely for me as extra buttons or as a mouse when playing Stratagy games :)
Ultimately while I'll always recommend the Steam Deck over the other handhelds, there's choice & it is good to see others enter!
I hope the second Steam Deck has the track pads:)

@@TheAffroShowGameplay I absolutely agree not only that but it's great if among all this competition steam deck still keeps on top it's great for valve. Which seems to be the case at least from other reviews that deck is champion even tho it has weaker specs but the UI and ux improvements is what keeps it above the rest.
As for trackpads at this point I'm devoted believer and preacher :D I want everyone to try it. Since it seems that every single person that goes through struggle of setting everything up drops joysticks.
Plus I saw that video on UA-cam where dude does aim experiments that started as I joke and now he's seriously thinking that trackpads are superior for competitive fps. It's not deck related he decided to play on drawing tablet it ended up being super precise method. I think it's the same with trackpads, it's just that people don't like changes.

@zooziz5724 I feel Valve just needs to keep doing what it is doing & their decision to stick with the device & make it easy to use has payed off :)
This is fair, ultimately I'm happy with my joystick method but I also understand & see the appeal of the track pads:)
Most games I play wouldn't take advantage of them but, I'm glad they are there & work better than one may expect:)

@@TheAffroShowGameplay what's that meme going on these days about valve? Strategy of doing completely nothing and competition just keeps shooting themselves in the foot. Fingers crossed it keeps working.
      Good stuff buddy, take care.

CSS loader is a great decky plugin to customize the look of it

I'm not too fussed with things like that but I know my brother would be interested & it is nice to have this feature :)
