Crockett's theme, Miami Vice. Good music choice.

One of my athletes (a girl, sophomore, 16 y.o.) have an issue with the trunk. She throws near 40mt (sometimes above, more often below) but she struggle to keep the stability with the torso and the discus often tends to rear up (creating more resistance than penetration). At first glance, i thought the main cause is that she tends to stand up too soon, breaking the orbit. But after seen your video and your positioning during the circle, i'm starting to think she might have a problem with the weight transfer: she seems struggle to keep the weight on her right foot/leg, often finding herself on the block side. Maybe this two issues are linked? I'm trying really hard to fix that. Sometimes she seems having understood the problem and as results she drops the bomb, but next day she's like it's never happened. Tomorrow i'll show her this video, hope she can have some good feelings.

One way to create more speed is to rip the left hand (not shoulder) earlier (120 degrees) when the left foot touches down in the power position. I believe that most throwers initiate that rip too late. One should compliment that by holding eyes on a focal point in the back of the circle

I used to focus on things like that, I didn’t throw well. I throw much better now focusing on all the other things that make a discus fly farther.
