Sushi belts are also super useful when you need to transport multiple different items on a very long distance You transport everything with one belt, then split everything when it arrives Good tuto :)
So after many question on how to do this, here is a quick Explanation/Guide.. I also made it quick enough for you to get back into your game!.. Keep Smiling
Hmm.. these are a great idea for the high tier manufacturers that will likely have very slow inputs. Definitely going to use these. Thanks for the tips!
@@ItsBitz Hello, I noticed your recent load-balancing video and thought this could be a good time to remind you about this comment! After all, even-splitting is what's needed for load balancing and there are no tutorials on load-balancing for sushi belts yet... ;)
Just saw this video and I really enjoy the idea! A friend and I have an unintentional sushi line on our multiplayer session to our first base that needs entirely re-done. Not sure if I missed it, but do you have any output coming from your end containers? Or is the intention that once those are full, the items that are being processed will either end up in a sink or a manufacturer/other processing machine? Do you do anything further with the containers or would those just be spare items in case you need them for construction or advancing tiers if you are still working on those?
Great question. So far now in that playthrough they are just for Storage and personal use.. However when doing sushi line over and over again to multiple areas, what you tend to find out it starts to become a central location for a good storage room.. or you can bus them of elsewhere as long as you keep on top of how much is going into a container per Minute. This is done by minusing the input of the machines from the total you are sending initially on the belt. Hopefully this answers your question!
@@ItsBitz Thanks for the response! I just broke into tiers 5 and 6 and manually crafted the computers so I could get fuel refineries. It is definitely a learning curve! I am trying to avoid using the oil in the spire coast but realizing that most of the oil on the map is up there, so it is a struggle. Especially since I am right at the edge of the canyon which is also part of the zone that is getting reworked. My platform at the moment is like right above the crash site not far from the river and I am using the iron deposits all around there. I may need to look into a new location, possibly the area with the coal nodes near the big river up top.
@@ItsBitz That is perfect! I have been trying to avoid Let's Play series to not spoil myself too much and think of a "right" way to do things based on what the content creator is doing. Certainly curious on an alternative though since I don't want to expand my coal.
Only a minor issue with smart splitters, some items aren´t recogniced by them, i mean, you set "left output X" and if you check that item has changed, its a old minor bug ( at least for me )
That is super strange, and the very first time i've everr heard that!! In that current save i used for the demonstration i have every item being smart split. Maybe verify your game, or a possible mod conflict?
@@ItsBitz Need to investigate, but i notice that bug modded, and in vanilla too ( set cable and change to another item ) Perhaps its time to performa a "dracarys" and a new fresh install of satisfactory !
I've seen this happen with programmable splitters, but not smart splitters. Apparently programmable are especially buggy in multiplayer and crashes my dedicated server when we try to use them. Smart splitters working fine so far though, I have 18 sushi lines wrapped around the base feeding a lot of things and ending in a warehouse and sink.
This isn't a sushi belt though.. it's a mixed belt. A true sushi belt would loop back onto itself. Unfortunately, that is not currently (Update 8) possible, due to the lack of a priority merger. A regular merger forcefeeds the sushibelt until it chokes.
Bitz: I'm going to explain to you what a sushi belt is and how it can be very very beneficial to you..." So, where did you explain how it can be very beneficial? What specific circumstances make it better than standard belt use? Seems like you basically just explained what smart splitters are and happened to use multiple items in the visual for the explanation of smart splitters. I wonder if this comment will mysteriously disappear.

Your Welcome!h
Thats actually really smart. Never thought to use this. Helps with a much cleaner look in the factory too
appreciate the efficient tutorial Bitz :)
Good job! Very brief tutorial just like it should be :)
As intended, I'm not a person who likes to sit there for 20mins. I wanna get straight to the point and absorb it and utilize it.
What are this beautiful builds in the video? I wanna see more of them!
Hey dude, that is my Twitch let's play series.
My UA-cam Series will get there eventually SoonTM
😂
Sushi belts are my favourite type of conveyor belts! \o/
Excellent tutorial as always!

Thanks Drak
Great tutorial, easy to use!! Thanks Bitz!
Thanks Mr Maveee
Nice, concise tutorial.
Any chance you'll be making a tutorial on how to split evenly sushi belts too?
Thanks glad you enjoyed it... I have no plans as of yet, but maybe in the future

@@Adiuva1 You will like the next episode of the Let's play series, which is Episode 14 as I'm creating power with oil without using the spire coast

Can you hear the conveyor belt purists seething?
Pardon? haha
@@ItsBitz You know, people who must be running to the fainting couches seeing more than one thing on a belt at a time.

I've actually had that one, usually when only setting left and right outputs, and the overflow then doesn't work and have to set the overflow again.

Feed the excess into sink. Game has infinite resources anyway.
