I never thought I’d say this at the beginning of the season, but IKF is a better hitter and a better defender than Bichette. Keep Clement at 3rd, IKF shortstop and trade Bichette for whatever we can get. IMO
I agree! Also, I've never seen IKF dog it down the first base line. He gives 100% effort at all times.

IKF is having a decent season but ask yourself why he was available as a free agent. Bichette as hit .290 or better since 2019. So you want to replace a young hitter havin his only off year with an older player having the best season of his career? Look up the stats. Bo has a career avg of.301 and IKF has a career avg. Of .260 but lets keep IKF because hes hitting better this year
@@willisfigueroa6841 this isn’t about Bo not having a good year .. this is about Bo and the Jays not having extension talks. Of course in a perfect world they would extend everyone and be millions and millions of dollars over the luxury tax and win WS. But unfortunately it seems like Bo’s time as a Jays is near the end and if that’s the actual case you trade him to get the most value instead of letting him walk for nothin

Vlads value goes beyond the field. He's a fan favorite and is very popular in the Dominican republic which is good for recruiting.
100%. This is too often overlooked. The data analytics is obviously crucial but this soft power is undervalued.
Say what you will about the players, underachieving, mailing it in or just not very good, my belief is that this whole bad results are the responsibility of management. These players are Big Leagures. They have the skill. The last couple of years they have been sinking and this is due to poor management and coaching. The players were told one thingand given something different. Bad trades and bad signings. You can see the loss of drive. That and the bad bullpen. These problems are directly the result of substandard management. So, fire all management and most of the coaches. We need another Andropolis, even another Gibson to right this ship. Keeping what we got is going to make the Jays a team where other teams come to get some wins while the Jays are outside looking in.

I am in no way comfortable giving Atkins that go ahead to rebuild the franchise. If ownership wants a rebuild then they need to fire Shapiro, Atkins & Schneider before doing it. Also, there is no world where I trade Bichette during this season he is having. He's a better hitter than he has shown and the Jays would only be selling low.
Not comfortable with a 10 year deal 5 years ok to trade or not too trade sometimes what choice you have to wheel dice and hope for the best I kind of feel 10 years is too much

Well all the naysayers who have never known tuff times are about to know them. All of you out there who want to blow up this team here comes 10 to 15 yrs or hell. If you cant remember before they finally started to build the team around Bautista. They even waited a few to many years before finally doing it. If the team is blown up they arent going to turn around and sink 70million into an elite payroll there is going to be years and years of tears.
I'm 61, and have been watching the Jays since opening day in '77. So many screw ups over the decades. So many great things. Been through the crappy years, and the great World Series efforts in '92 and '93. Attended at least a hundred games since Day 1.
If the Jays trade Vladdy, I'm done.
So what Im a leaf fan my team the leafs been losing since 1967 lol. The last 8 yrs only made out of the 1st Rd once and 20 yrs only once the jays win back to back 1992 and 1993 championships so stop complaining. Lol

As per hockey, I watched Paul Henderson score in the Summit Series, and I was alive when the Leafs last won the Cup. I have suffered as much as anyone over the Leafs.

If he wants 30M a year it has to be incentive and performance based. So if we get 2021 vlad for that year he gets his 30M but if its .280 with 15 hrs then really it should be 25-26M.
If Rogers wants to spend (and in a worst case would be open to eating some of the deal in the later years as part of a trade) then sure, go for it, it isn't my money. Plus, at 10 years he'd only be a year older than Springer when his deal runs out.

You can’t trade JR, but you can probably move bichette. Bo’s strike zone has gotten way too big and cannot work a count. Even though he hit .300 last year his OBP wasn’t much higher. I’d love to see Bo stay with the team but if someone needs to be moved it’s Bo

Window closed. Jays won't see a WS in the next ten years. Vlad would be Trout again, but in Toronto. Early off season, lots of free time w/ a huge payday. He will never know what playoff success looks like in T.O. The only way he learns what it feels like is if he ends up in NY, LA, or Houston.

I live in Vancouver we don't have a place for the stadium that's acceptable right now. Maybe when the skytrain is extended but there's not enough space in downtown Vancouver.

I personally do not believe any one athlete is worth that kind of money ever....that being said Vlads contract can be based on performance reviews at the end of season, start with a base salary, then take their best year, and if they match then add $$ if they surpass add $$, home runs, win 9 mil, place 6 mil show 3 mil etc so then its based on year by year we can take in account gold gloves, player of the week etc. there can be a lot of money handed over. I like the performance type of contract. This way 10 yr contract is an okay length. We have an accrued type of account or a petty cash account with that money put aside at the beginning of the year and it stays there until it's used up. It's an accounting principle.; they should have done this with the fact they gave away Teo, then they needed to bring a comp back in return...apples to apples not apples to oranges.
