Virginia, I am not arguing with your comment, but if you were a teenager in the 50s/ 60s your perception would be a whole lot different. You are judging them by TODAYS standards, In the 59s/60s this couple would have been at he best "Good", way back then there were dancers (even in local dancehalls) who would have made these two look average at best.

How I wish that there were others who would take onboard your attitude, I have given MY opinion on the content of the clips on UA-cam and some of the reactions I have had was as if I had suggested that mine was the one true definition of the skill (or lack of it) on the subject. UA-cam is an open site where everyone and anyone is free to give THEIR OWN opinions. I salute you for being open minded.
Fabulous is a relative opinion. By todays standards I am the first to agree that they are probably the best, But, if you were around in the 50s/60s they would be strictly a "Run of the mill" couple. Back then there were "Rockers" who would have laughed at them, and their attempts to bee a "Cool" couple.

The Starlight Roof ballroom in Leeds, the Mecca Locarno in Manchester and Macs majestic Ballroom in Blackpool had couples who make these two look like learners.
I hate to pour cold water on such a talented couple, but in the 1950s there were lots of couples who were the equal (If not better) than Nils and Bianca. At the Starlight Roof ballroom in Leeds, ( and the Mecca Locarno0 Terry Boodle and his partner, Marion Johnson would have eaten this couple for breakfast, and at Macs Majestic Ballroom in Blackpool the floor was packed with couples who were At the VERY least as good as this couple. Do not get me wrong, I have a high regard for Nils and Bianca, but if they had been competing in the 1950s/60s They MAY have got to the finals of the competitions, but beating the talent of that era would have been beyond them. I am an old man now...approaching 90 years of age, but I am still lucid enough to recall those fabulous years.

I don't know... If you look at what was filmed of those competitions I think modern dancers have a pretty good chance.
