Fun fact, I'm not big on raw apples but I love them baked and what a wonderful way to enjoy them in a cake like this one, Sacha. By the way, I showed your zombie brain cupcakes video to my 10 year old nice and she thought it was super cool but what she loved the most was seeing your adorable pooch, Sydney. ♥
My goodness my mouth is watering! What an amazing cake Sacha, it's like a sticky toffee pudding in cake form and even better with apples. Love the cheaters toffee sauce. Fantastic thank you
+FitAnge S Thanks Ange. Me too - I think that cheaty sauce may rear its head a few more times in other recipes -- such a good consistency for effective drizzling!! (oh, and yum!) haha :) xx
+Maddy James We had a hoot. Made the house over, as our village gets besieged by trick'n'treaters - it's a cutesy place to live... Holly and Becky came round, and once Min was back from work, we all got made-up, answered the door to scare kids then wandered to the pub - looking half-dead... literally : )haha. Hope yours was good too xx
Hi Sacha & Minion,,,, oh my goodness oh my goodness, now this cake is actually calling me, it looks Devine and I bet it tastes like heaven. I know Christmas pudding is traditionally served at the holidays, but my family don't really like it. This would make a great substitute, I'm sure you could serve it warm with a good blob of extra thick double cream... Nice drizzling Sacha, (or was that Minion lol) ... Another great recipe and 'How To Make' video. Big hugz and love, and happy Halloween 💐🌹💐🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🌹💐🌹xxxxxxxx
+Elaine Howard Aw thanks Elaine. It was delicious... we had it warmed last night with custard when Holly and Becky came round to help us fend off/answer the door to the hoards of trick'n'treaters we get in our village! (Who knew Leicestershire loved halloween so much. We never got so many when we lived in the West Country).... it was me (with Minion's instruction! haha) xxx
Yum! Delicious and lovely. You got me in a toffee apple mood now lol I made some pumpkin truffles, I wonder if I could do a toffee apple bunch :) yum! Hope you all are well!
The pumpkin ones were delicious!! I have made the toffee apple ones with a caramel drizzle and they were amazing!!! :) You will have to give them a try!!!
Published Oct 31st I feel like I'm late to the party, but hopefully fashionably late. My weakness Toffee Apple Cake! This looks amazing!! How do you stay so thin eating cake?
+FitAnge S Yes, it's a fan oven - so you're bang-on you probably need to go about 20 degrees higher. Never thought of that before so an excellent point - may try making that clearer in my vids! Thank you xx
+Loopylu005 If this isn't a contradiction - yes and no! It's runny enough to pour, but within seconds it sets to stay where it lands. It won't pull teeth out, but will stick to a knife cutting it up. Does that make sense? (I guess I'm trying to say - it's PERFECT!) haha
+Donna C Chachi! hahaha Love it... is that a 'Fonz' reference?? haha.... and yes, your teeth will love* this sauce - no fillings/root work needed afterwards, I promise :) (*as long as you brush!)
+Totally Sacha I have a great-great niece who saw one of your earlier videos and asked me who you were . . . I told her and her reply was "Why does Chachi sound funny?" (she' very young) So that's why I sometimes call you Chachi. I think it is apropos ;)). Be Good, Donna C

By the way is your oven fan forced at 160c? Cause I know fan forced is always about 20 degrees less than regular ovens, just checking
+FitAnge S Yes, it's a fan oven - so you're bang-on you probably need to go about 20 degrees higher. Never thought of that before so an excellent point - may try making that clearer in my vids! Thank you xx
Totally Sacha awesome thanks Hun cause it does make a Big difference. I thought I'd better ask.
Does the toffee sauce on top go really hard & chewy like the sweets started off or does it stay like a sauce?
+Loopylu005 If this isn't a contradiction - yes and no! It's runny enough to pour, but within seconds it sets to stay where it lands. It won't pull teeth out, but will stick to a knife cutting it up. Does that make sense? (I guess I'm trying to say - it's PERFECT!) haha
Real proof heaven really does exist right here in Chachi's kitchen. Lovely and I still get to keep what teeth I have left ;) xoxoxoxoxoxox
