"How to build a 400hp SBC" type build
14x4 air filter
600cfm Edelbrock AFB. 600cfm AVS would be better. AFB stumbles a bit when secondaries slam open.

Edelbrock performer intake manifold for Vortec heads.
99 Suburban 5.7 Vortec SBC
Stock rotating assembly.
Stock Vortec heads with stock valves. 10239906 casting

Comp Cams recommended beehive valve springs and keepers to match cam without machining heads.
Stock rockers
KB 9902HC pistons (I think)
Long tube headers
T-5 transmission from in 83 camaro. Home made clutch linkage adapter.
GM 8 1/2" 10 bolt diff. 3.42:1 final drive, limited slip.

THAT SNARL IM IN LOVE
Beast🔥🔥
I want one so bad
How much different would a 305 sbc from a 78 type lt Camaro sound than that. I’m curious
I was the driver in the video. The cam is a comp cams XR270-HR, and the motor has headers and full exhaust with dumps. The dumps obviously were open. I think the cam makes the sound a little unique to that cam, but a 305 with the same cam and same exhaust should sound nearly identical. It has a T-5 manual transmission which revs a little different than an automatic would. I was shifting right at 6,000RPM in the video.
@spiritual-dv2mnIm $5500 into my 79 Z28 and its not driveable yet, let alone registered. Do NOT do what I did. Just spend $4k-$8k on a running camaro.
Billy is that you
