So glad they got rid of those ridiculous side steps for the xrt. Props for the analog buttons to. it's as if Hyundai actually listens to it's consumers within reason. That in itself is earth shattering for a vehicle market to do.
Hi Justin. You, Sir, deserve more subscribers ( yes, I have liked and subscribed ). I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I must say, your reviews are refreshingly detailed and informative, much more so than some really Big Auto Channels on UA-cam. Yes Raiti's rides and Car Confections come to mind, they don't come close to your in depth comments on this car, and many others you have reviews on. I purchased a 2024 Santa Cruz in the Night trim one month ago. I must have watched 100 reviews prior to that, and another 100 in the past month. I agree with you on so many points of your likes and dislikes. Although a couple seem really trivial, like the $100 less expensive and rear lighting that isn't all LED. When you're spending $40k, $ 100 more or less isn't something that most people will notice, it's a drop in the bucket. And I personally think the rear lighting is just fine, it's a truck after all, not a Sonata N Line, it doesn't need full bands of LED lighting to make it look cool. The bed lighting button is a nice touch, but really, I can easily walk 5 feet to turn it on and off from the cabin. Your comments on the physical shifter are EXCELLENT. I use it all the time for a hand rest. For me, much more desirable than rotary dial or push buttons. Your comment on the seat comfort is EXCELLENT. My Night edition does not have the silly plastic pieces in the tops of the seats in other trims. I know this would have been a point of contention for me, as it was for you. I sat in one and immediately wondered what Hyundai was thinking when they put those plastic trim pieces there. They rub and add pressure points. So glad I don't have them in mine. Your comment on the center console hard plastics is EXCELLENT. Within 2 days of buying mine, I had gorilla taped a 1 1/2" thick piece of soft packing foam to cover that sharp hard plastic edge, which after a two hour drive cut like a knife into the flesh below my knee ( I've had to do this for my past two vehicles ). This is a great observation on your part. Shame on the Engineers, but it is an easy fix with tape and foam. As for the manual sliding rear window, did you know that the owner's manual says to NOT keep the window open while driving? Says keeping it open may lead to distraction and entry of dangerous exhaust fumes !@ I mean, then why have it ? I keep mine open alot while driving and have not noticed any fumes entering said window. Yes, I would love a motorized control for the window, as you stated, but no such luck. Thank you again for all your detailed observations, keep up the great work, you and your channel are going places.
One thing that is good about incandescent lights is they produce enough heat to melt snow that accumulates especially when on the freeway. In bad conditions or dusk driving not seeing the rear lights is dangerous. They do have their good points.
no heated stearing wheel for the xrt...must be endless summer somewhere with a heated garage to park it in overnight. Gimme a heated steering wheel opton and the good Bose system and the XRT would be perfect.
The 2025 XRT they displayed at the New York auto show did have a sunroof. What gives? Also I agree with the previous commenter your videos on the Santa Cruz have been by far the most helpful.
That was very early pre-production. We've known for quite some time it wouldn't have a sunroof. I appreciate the feedback! Maybe others aren't choosing to cover the Santa Cruz all that much?

Thank you for clarifying up that 2025 xrt does come with 360 cameras!
I've been super impressed with the Santa Cruz, especially the 2025 update. The car is way smoother than I anticipated.

i honestly went with the xrt anyways just looks better, sound system isn't horrible either
SEL with activity package was my loadout
I agree the skip button should be up not down. That’s how it is in my other vehicle.

Does the 2025 XRT come with a hitch receiver and seven pin wiring harness preinstalled?
It can but it's not standard. It's considered an accessory by Hyundai.
The tailgate breaks off, don’t stand on it😂😂😂………. It also stalls at red lights
