Awesome! This is the exact Santa Cruz I want! The XRT package in that color looks awesome!!! The perfect vehicle for me to take to the beach or an outdoor concert! It is also great for tailgating! I am not sure why Hyundai did not call it Soultronic Orange like they did with the Kona and Ionic 5N. It may be a shade darker than that color. Or maybe the name is more suited to the Santa Cruz. I am ok that there is no sunroof option on the XRT. The only thing it lacks is a heated steering wheel. Glad they added the 360 surround view cameras!!! Bravo Hyundai!!
I noticed the no sunroof option as well. However if you watch any of the videos from the New York auto show where they had a ton of people review it, that one has a sunroof. Am I missing something?
I would like all the extras of the Limited with the 18in wheels, no sunroof and love the red. Manufacturers are always stingy with bright colors. I think the Rockwood green will rock, though. Also need some lighter interior colors. Black gets hot in the sun, no ventilated seats in the XRT so some lighter colors would help. They make more difference than the exterior color. I think Hyundai should continue to develop the XRT as a more true off-road or camping vehicle. I may get one. That tow mode is the same as the one in my 2024 Pallisade. My guess is it will hold gears longer for heavier loads. Very smart addition.
Since the BOSE is not an option on the XRT, how difficult would it be to swap the speakers and put an under-the-seat subwoofer in one of these? I am strongly considering trading out of my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness for one of these.
Does anyone have any experience with this powertrain? I saw early on some troubles with it, but have not seen the complaints on the newer models. I really wish you could get the turbo with a normal transmission. I guess while we’re wishing we can also wish for a hybrid. But I would like to hear either good or bad experiences with this powertrain especially long-term. Thank you all for your time.
The vehicle is orange not red! They removed the steps on the sides, took out the sun roof & then are raving about how they dropped the price $100! Think the sunroof & the steps cost alot more than $100! Think they made it cheaper than they did improve it!
The majority of people don't need or want side steps on this vehicle nor the Tucson. They were in the way more than they actually helped getting in and out. Things like HDA, Surround View Cameras, Rear A/C Vents, Rear USB Charging, A/T tires, and Recovery Hooks are all more useful than the side step which reduced ground clearance and made ingress and egress more difficult.
the steps just reduced ground clearance... counterproductive to off roading and you even granny doesnt need granny steps to step into a car height "truck" lol... even truck guys dont use these... except city truck people... with their big old lifted trucks that have never eve seen a dirt road... lol
[Only black plastic seats] -- Having lived in the Sun Belt for decades, I hate this moronic trend, and immediately scratch the vehicle off my list. Kids who design this stuff need to get out more to find out first hand what sun does to a black interior, and specifically should be forced to sit on one of those obnoxious seats after it stood in the sun for a while. Make them wear shorts.
Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or stupid ??? By Desgin.. it’s One model .. and if you really want an off road truck you wouldn’t buy this anyway.. again you just sound like a Millennial little punk ..
those flaashing strobe red "attention keeper" lights on the steering wheel look super distracting and annoying... id be putting some electrical tape over those horrrible things...
XRT = better looking grille, tow hooks, better looks with lower body molding, better wheels and tires Limited = better radio, sunroof, leather seats why cant i get a Limited with tow hooks and the badasss blacked out look? or an XRT with leather and a good radio and sunroof? why do they always make the options in weird combos and not just let us pick what ones we want? especially if im just adding shit thats available in another trim in the same model... why even buy a new car if i dont even get to pick the options i want when special ordering one from the fucking factory? back in the day you could get anything they produced put into any car you wanted as long as you special ordered it... whats the point of buying new anymore? you dont even get exactly what you want when you special order....
i wanted one of these in 2024.... but the options sucked... so i waited till this year... and theyre different but still suck... maybe 2026 theyll hit a winning combo? unlikely... i havent been able to option a new car to my liking in at least the last ten or so years... i just keep going brand website to brand website building cars.. .. trying to find something worth buying... still havent bought a new car in ten years as i can never find one with all the options i want available in one model...
its no secret that the Hyundai AWD system as as usefull as s chocolate teapot, it barely works on slight inclines if a wheel is lifted, it doesnt work on snow or sand, theres plenty of vids out there showing it overheating and or shutting down instantly on some of the most mildest conditions
Thanks For The Great Video... Thanks Cars Made Simple Channel 😊😊😊

This is the exact truck I'm considering. Looks great!

Thank Gawd, no sunroof

Does anybody know if the 2.5l n/a is enough power for driving in mountains.?

@@CarsMadeSimple sun roof ?? Price wise??
Sunroof was a stupid idea. Maybe make the Sunroof an option

Looks like they deleted a lot of the exterior features on the xrt!
Why can't they call that color Orange?
I am surprised they called it red as well
The designer is probably colourblind.

Jeez, thats over 10K overpriced.
Alot of $ for what is on that model!!!
those flaashing strobe red "attention keeper" lights on the steering wheel look super distracting and annoying... id be putting some electrical tape over those horrrible things...
Took quite a bit off the exterior & only lowered the price $100! Way way overpriced!

That's the dual clutch transmission, not the AWD system.
@@CarsMadeSimple thats cheap and stupid response..think about it harder next time ..
@@reserva120 What more is there to think about? 🤷♂
@@CarsMadeSimple can I get the turbo engine with the 9 speed ?? Think next time - it’s your pretend job ..
They did away with all the nice accessories! They'll be sorry!
I wish they would have kept the bed rails but the side steps won't be missed!
It does look a little bit better, but still over priced.
