- President Donald Trump rebuked Dr. Anthony Fauci's blunt assessment of the US' coronavirus response, claiming that the country is "in a good place" even as new cases surge.
"Well, I think we are in a good place. I disagree with him," Trump said to Gray Television's Greta Van Susteren, according to a transcript of the interview released Tuesday.
"Dr. Fauci said don't wear masks and now he says wear them. And he said numerous things. Don't close off China. Don't ban China. I did it anyway. I didn't listen to my experts and I banned China. We would have been in much worse shape."
"We've done a good job," the President said. "I think we are going to be in two, three, four weeks, by the time we next speak, I think we're going to be in very good shape."
The President's comments come after Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, had said Monday that the status of the coronavirus pandemic in the US is "really not good."

Yep. I live in Arizona. Masks are required in most cities. Yet people still go in our grocery stores without masks. They are still acting like there is no pandemic everywhere. Almost every coworker I have who has tested positive, is a younger person, under 21.(that we know of. HIPPA and all that...)
I think we should know when a coworker goes out with symptoms, and who it is. What if we were in the breakroom together on break? We determine who it is on our own. Those with 'close contact' are notified. So employees working in the same department ALL have to go out. That's how we know who it was. When you see the department missing half it's employees.

The best thing you can do is wash your hands 20-40 sec , enough rest and sleep, vitamins . Sun exposure for vitamin D to help you strengthen your immune system. Wearing mask too long does not help neither so you need to take it off from time to time to do breathing exercises coz its not good for the body inhaling back Co2 that you exhale and inhaling back instead of O2. We need oxygen for our brain to function. So yes wear a mask but its not a cure.

Do some research, find out how many people die from influenza every year. Research the mortality rate for CV19 and the current rate of deaths in the US. Coronavirus's have been around for a long time and are usually asymptomatic for most people. As an airborne contagion it can infect 30% of the population very quickly (regardless of social distancing) but herd immunity quickly slows the spread. Increased testing is not a true indicator of the the threat level at this point in time.

@@Jay576 I work in retail. I have seen several coworkers go out with covid. Most have gone to the hospital. Same with my husband(retail worker). This virus is kicking their butts. They can't breath, they have high fevers, they can't walk because they have no energy. Even the younger ones(which are most of the cases at the moment) have gone to the hospital because they had high fevers. One 20 year old got it in March. He is still out. It's JULY.

Some people have had legs cut off because of blood clots, heart attacks at 35 because of covid, damaged hearts after covid. Damaged kidneys, livers, etc. This is NOT something everyone's immune system can handle. Many need hospital care, and there are no beds available in some areas now. They are releasing patients because their oxygen levels are 'okay' even though the person is gasping for air, so they have beds for the ones who are even worse. How many of those patients are going home to die because they were told to go home?

When Trump ran in 2016 it was the perfect storm. The US wanted a person who would throw a brick through the windows of the establishment, and were sick to the back teeth of the Democrats.
