Just moving house. Lastly, is there any way to add a Dip bar and a Chin up bar (somewhat like the Ironmaster Pro bench does). Imagine a 10 in 1 machine! Thank you for designing, building and marketing this machine, again. Cheers.
That is epic!! How has training been with it? We can't thank you enough for your continued support & feedback! You are seriously going to love the Leg Developer! A dip/chin up bar would be epic! We are always looking for exciting ways to improve 👀
I have this equipment and just got the leg developer upgrade. Assembly is excruciating thanks to the guy that does the videos. Replace him Benji, he legit sucks. I still can’t attach the assembled leg developer to the Nordic Hyper thanks to the *great* instruction video!
Pre-ordered! This is a nice add-on for sure, and hope you continue to see what else you can add-on in the future (tibialis attachment, seated calf, sissy squat, etc). A couple things to mention as I've been reading through a lot of user comments on your various videos... 1) Colored Knobs - although purely cosmetic, a fair number of people are unhappy with not being able to get the colored knobs. Any chance you will offer them as stand alone separate items that original users can buy (assuming that they can actually be pulled out and replaced, that is)? 2) Bent Frames - some users are complaining about bent parts, usually where one of the two base cross pieces connect to the receiver brackets of the main unit. I actually received a bent one myself 😢 (bracket that connects to the U-shaped base piece) but with some heavy duty pliers, a long pipe, and mucho brute force, was able to bend the connection enough to jam the pieces together and bolt them down. I would think this comes down to one of two things: either a) items are being packaged bent (quality control problem and not enough oversight before going into the box), or b) they are being bent during delivery (not enough protection in packaging). The amount of force needed to bend those pieces is HUGE (a testament to how well made they are), so i'm actually hard pressed to imagine them being bent during shipping, given how well they were packaged. I do hope you are looking into the possible causes and will try to find solutions. I can tell you first hand that nothing takes the wind out of your sails as receiving this great item, looking forward to using it, then finding out that you can't. Totally deflating. I wasn't willing to wait weeks for a solution thus I brute-forced it. 😈
Thank you so much for your support of the Nordic Hyper! This wouldn't be possible without you! 1. We are currently looking for a way in which we can provide the colored knobs to you guys as an upgrade kit. However, we will have to make sure we do this right so that safety is not diminished, since the knobs are a key component in making sure the joints are secure in the machine. 2. We have fixed the issue with the Bent bottom base in shipping with the 2nd round of Nordic Hypers. We went from a 2% defect rate here, to zero by adjusting how we were shipping the product. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused in the bent frame that you received. Thank you so much for your feedback! We are always looking for ways to improve. We can't wait to see your progress with the Nordic Hyper!
This looks terrific! I'll be preordering it. On a semi-related note, are there any plans yet to redesign the existing loading pegs to accommodate 1 inch plates? I'd love to anchor and stabilize down my machine, but really don't want to have to buy 2 inch olympic plates in order to do so. I'd totally buy a new attachment for those pegs if you guys offer it.
Great question! What you can do is remove the weight pegs that are currently there and just lay your plates on top. It will achieve the same function 🙌
i think there should be an option to do weighted reverse hypers with the leg attachment somehow.... maybe making a remobable roll padding at the top ? just thinking about it, im not sure its possible due to the hight of the machine itself...
Hi! As of right now, the Nordic Hyper or the Leg Developer will not support weighted reverse hypers with the use of plates or dumbbells. The only for of added resistance it will support is through the use of ankle weights or resistance bands. Regardless, we appreciate your comment and look forward to constantly improving our products!
Should've read my mail sooner, missed the early bird shipping. Didn't read all the way to the PS at the bottom of the mail the first time. Wanted to order it today, will probably wait until it's released before ordering now. I pumped to start using my (delayed) Nordic Hyper in a couple weeks.
Hi! I sincerely apologized for the missed promotion and for the shipping delays. However, the wait is almost over and your Nordic Hyper should be arriving soon!
Hi! You can not keep the Leg Developer on the Nordic Hyper while it is stored vertically. However, the Leg Developer stores vertically and takes up less room than the Nordic Hyper when in vertical storage mode!
Not a bad idea! We have found however, that many customers are able to do preachers curls without the need for any additional attachments. They have been utilizing the Nordic Hyper in back extension mode to do preacher curls and it has worked for them. Although, it might not be ideal for taller users.
@@freakathleteco I could probably make it work in back extension mode, but getting a barbell and everything set is much nicer with an actual attachment that has a barbell holder dealy. I have one for my bench in the basement, but I don't have one in the garage so I'd almost certainly buy one from you guys.
Cant wait , ordered one yesterday. Curious if a Sissy Squat attachment in the works/doable?? Holding off on purchase another unit thinking this could be done w this Nordic Bench? Thank you!!

Seconded. Leg extension also looks like you cant maximally stretch the quad under load, the attachment will rest on the post before you quads reach the end of their rom, just like all the shitty leg extension rack attachments :(
@@stillborn89 Benji here - I'm away from my Hyper and Leg Developer for the next 2 days, but I'll upload a video showing these on Friday. On ham curls, you can get to 0° of hyperextension. Even though some people can move their knees into hyperextension (mine go to 2° of hyperextension), it's not beneficial to train here. It puts unneccessary forces onto the knee joint. Leg extensions do go all the way to and past hyperextension (even though just like hamstring curls, it's not beneficial to train past hyperextension). I didn't show it in the video simply because I don't train there. Is there anything else you'd like me to show close up in my video? I'll just make an unlisted close up of anything you guys want to see.
@@freakathletecoWith leg extensions it’s the lengthened position that people are concerned about, not whether they can hyperextend their knees. I wonder if you can set it up with a decline to get a greater stretch at the start?
The biggest thing you should be worrying about with these types of add-on leg curl attachments guys, is the end of range shortened position of both of these movements. This is because, when you are in the fully contracted position, the weight plate stack will be positioned so that it is balancing all of or nearly all of its weight on the pivot point that the weight plate post is attached too, and hence, you will lose all or almost all of the load based muscle tension in this inner end of range (EOR) position. In fact, due to the 45 degree angled position of the plates on this example, you will almost certainly lose even more of that inner EOR tension during your quad extensions, than you would with the non 45 degree angled leg curl attachments. With that said, the hamstring curl with this add-on, does appear to potentially offer benefits over its competing examples, and not just due to its angled plates, but due to the start position allowing for an adequate amount of hip flexion, which is done to optimise outer/lengthened EOR hamstring muscle tension. I very much like what they have done with this movement and I suspect, due to the machine’s other exercises being mostly hamstring centric, that the hamstring curl movement was also prioritized in the development of this attachment, which I personally feel is a sound decision to make. Please don’t take this as me trashing the product, as I am planning to buy a Nordic Hyper GHD in the next few weeks, but from a rehab sciences perspective, I just wanted to give my 2 cents on its actual limitations, versus what people are perceiving in this video. With that said, great job Freak Athlete at adding even more value, to an already very well designed piece of equipment. Cheers 😊👍
@@granthartley when the weight arm is at 45 degrees, you’ll be feeling about 70% of the full weight. Starting at 45 degrees and ending at 45 degrees like this design is the best compromise for an attachment like this and balances the strength curve as much as possible with the peak tension in the middle of the ROM. Falling off to 70% is not a problem at all, commercial machines have cams that are designed to lighten the resistance at the top also.
