- A beautiful song by the group "Orpheus" composer Bruce Arnold. I loved the arrangement so much that I recreated the musical backtracks as closely as I possibly could and added my own background vocals.
Please note that my entirely recreated song rendition is solely for comparison purposes, commenting; potential inspiration to other musicians, and to endeavor to call attention to the original artists and composers whose creation, original performance and production must be acknowledged, appreciated and rightfully supported.
Well, it is completely my honor -- and a sensational surprise to hear from the very man who made it all happen! I know I speak for so many other musicians when I say that your music has been such an personal inspiration to us all, and deeply appreciate your gift in creativity and contributions to the music world! Thanks for the advice on the new CD! It will be a most-welcome addition to my collection!
Sincerely,
Wayne
Incredible performance. You also picked one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Thank you!
Great cover-They played at my 1969 prom at Delbarton in Morristown NJ. Loved them ever since. GOOD JOB!!

My pleasure I still sing this in the shower at the top of my lungs with ORGANIC ECHO LOL-I have searched for years to find them. I came across a copy oh BEST OF and gladly paid $23 for it.
That's it Terry! Keep singing! With Orpheus and their music you can never go wrong!!
I agree Paul! It is one of the most beautiful songs ever! Thank you so much for your kind words and listening! It's much appreciated!

Wayne
I remember the first time I heard it I was 10 years old August 1969 I was just starting to appreciate popular music and then this song had a very short airtime really didn't hear it for well probably 40 years then one day I ran into it on here and I felt why does it sound familiar oh and then I remembered the same with three other kind of Forgotten songs that time that I loved and didn't hear him for years when I die motherlode a band out of Toronto Evie Sands anyway you want me haven't heard in years written by Chip Taylor who wrote Wild Thing also the brother of Jon Voight his real name is James Voight and the other is another beautiful forgot buy a former New Christy Minstrel Keith Barbour a wonderful song called Echo Park very beautiful but this one your singing is a standout and you do a nice job it's covered again in 1971 by Rose colored glass a little bit more bubble gummy but still very beautiful can't fail with a beautiful song kudos to Bruce Arnold
Thanks so much! You're not alone! I'm a Big Fan of Bruce Arnold; Orpheus, etc! What a wealth of talent! Artists like that have always been a tremendous inspiration to me personally to try to strive to get better as I go onward! Their music is timeless! And, particularly, Bruce Arnold's newer creative works are readily available on CDBaby.com! Terrific! I'd love having him as a guest on my NY Cable TV show any time! Thanks for listening and commenting!
very nice Wayne- love the strings and your vocals are excellent- great job my friend! Excellent presentation in the video too.
Nice,
Wayne. Many thanks!
Hey Bruce you guys played at my prom at Delbarton School in Morristown NJ 1969. GREAT MUSIC thanks.

Wow! If this is indeed "The" Bruce Arnold ... composer ... founding member of "Orpheus" that commented on my version of a spectacular song I've played in a variety of groups ever since the song was first released, that would make "My Year!" It would truly be my honor to know - and to believe - that!
Hey Wayne-I still can't get enough of it. Of all the covers, I have not heard a bad one, but yours is clearly at the top.
Cheers,
Terry
Gee, thanks Terry! It took me a while to attempt recreating this excellent song with its intricate arrangement.
excellent vocals Wayne... and like Bocajoe, thought the strings were a nice addition! Keep up the good work!
oh yeah , I forgot to mention the horns- what a great fully orchestrated song!
sincerely Ben
@GILLnBARRY I hear ya on the 'hi harmony' thing... I can't seem to hit those notes as easily anymore either... gotta record those vocals first thing in the morning these days! lol
@mikec578 Thanks Mike! The high harmony near the end was indeed pushing my vocal limitations -- ha-ha!
@BocaJoe Thanks Joe! You are surely a Ben Franklin when it comes to your fine compliments :^)
Superb! What took me so long to discover this cover?
Thank you so much for your appreciation! It is such a beautiful song with lot's of fond memories for me. There is so much going on in the original song's arrangement that it was so much fun for me trying to pick it apart - the best I could at least :^)
