Nice chord progressions, good ear. Love Firefall. Although I play bass more so than guitar these days, I'd love to see you work out Firefalls version of "It Doesn't Matter" which of course has a great bass line too. Great sounding acoustic guitar.
Good job figuring out the bridge chords to "Can't Find The Time". Of the countless covers, only Hootie's version for the "Me, Myself & Irene" soundtrack got it right. They also got the lyrics right except for a second "ba" instead of "da", which was due to an error in the publisher's sheet music. Orpheus founder Bruce Arnold reunited the group and is currently recording a new album at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. Incidentally, both Bread and Chicago were big fans of Orpheus - as were Steely Dan. Terry Kath of Chicago, in particular, studied Arnold's vocal style and unique guitar chords. I don't think you missed anything, just me not seeing your hands. Is the 2nd chord in the progression an Am7? I am playing on an electric and am finding the G on the first string is less appealing than a Am . Are you actually fretting the G with the pinky. I do like the sound replication of yours. In Can't Find the Time, when you are going thru the base run from Em -F#min7sus4/C# to GM-CM-AM, are you actually using a G6 and then a CM/G. Thx. Love your song versions.
What I play before I break it down is Em F#m7(11) /E G6/E C then A. You can't call the chord an F#m7sus4 because the minor third is still in the chord and the four is in the chord so it is not a sus4 but an add 4 and since we have a 7 it should be called an F#m7(11)/E. I hope this clear up what I played. Sorry for the confusion.
Have you considered less talking more playing the song. just needed a quick refresher. pretty much talked 30% about something completely different. different songs, thing we dont care about. geeez
