Watching this as my husband of 8 years (been with him 14 years), brings me coffee and packs up the car to take me on a beach vacation. No, no children....yet. I love him, he loves me. We show it with respect and friendship. Every marriage is different but NO human being should be "owned" most animals shouldn't be unless they are beloved pets. Favorite part if this show, the animals.
I just love these videos. I love how open they are with their culture, especially when they seem to be disliked by so many. I see joy, and I thank you for it.
I'm guessing thousands. It's mentioned that Travellers and Gypsies don't like talking about money, and I'm betting it's because they spend hundreds of thousands for these weddings (in some cases). Then again, if this is the only highlight of a girl's life, you better make damn sure that dress is perfect, regardless of the cost.
it's their choice, who cares? I just wish they would finish their education... you never know what can happen in the future, and nobody can take away your education. Some people though, wouldn't call being a stay at home wife (and mother) a slave. I'm a college grad, but I love being a stay at home wife.
You know, they made it sound so awful that the Travelers were turned away from venues. But they never explained WHY they are turned away from venues. And they're telling these girls, "Well, it's society's fault." It might have more to do with Travelers being known to trash buildings and steal. These gypsy girls are trapped, of course they think it's "right and proper". They don't know anything else. These girls need an education.
