At the end of the day All city workers are entitled and lazy asf now a-days this sh/ts out of control.. You go downtown to do some paperwork and they act like your bothering them, like mfer it’s your job
If you listen to the reporter, he said one of his sources says they do the paperwork at the scene of the incident before they clear the scene. Sounds like the issue is the bad policy of doing the paperwork before you clear for another call.. maybe they decided to just go back to the station where they had a desk to work at. It sounds to me like the policy may say or give the impression that they are not back in service until the paperwork is done..
Unbelievable. That just goes against what we are trained to do. If there was a " walk in " emergency at the station or crew member suddenly got hurt or became ill , ok then, BUT that should have been IMMEDIATELY called in to their Radio Room , so E1 would not have even been dispatched. I am sure the E9 crew had a few choice words to say to the E1 crew later on at some point.

Probably happens more than we know
I’m sure if dispatched would have responded if it was my job.
the city should fire those who refused to respond
I don't see a problem here... If Police can choose when/what calls to respond to, why not fire? Oh well...
Thats called Job abandonment they aren't to busy..they jjust didn't want to go
hey if cops can show up hrs or in some cases days after a call is made why not any other services
Detroit’s public services are marginally functioning. Those who can afford to do so will privately contract.

WTF? Negligence!
That D.F.D. dispatcher is so professional, watch a lot of Detroit Fire videos and she has is down old school.
Lazy😂 city workers need a pay cut
This is why NOBODY will move into Detroit......lazy employee's.
The Detroit fire department let a burning building last week
The news writer so excited to get the "box office is boxed up" saying on the air.
At the end of the day nothing will happen and nothing will change.
Hmmm, if this has happened before Feiger should look into a class action 😂
Definitely!
Scary.
Is Tim Dillon still on for Dec. 8th? (my Nana won't stop bugging me.)
The problem is you can’t get there from station #1
I know the media showed you could but I think there wrong.
Probably would not donate to the fireman's ball in Detroit.
Just one more reason to avoid Detroit.
Unbelievable
not really
Incredible
Virtual fire station
Exactly why I would never live in the city again too many lazy people in Detroit 😂
Cover Up
Fire officer in charge
Drinky drinky. 🍺

Except the ones who won't come to your emergency because they are documenting their last call.
