PlayStation VR has a bit of an interesting story with me. I immediately loved the idea.
Tonight I retell the story briefly, show off some of my favorite games, a few of the headsets issues and my final
Opinion.
All of this will be powered by a standard CUH-1200 PS4.
Sorry to disappoint but no PS4 Pro action here.
This headset may seem like a gimmick, but it truly has given my
Once dormant PlayStation 4 a new lease on life.
I truly can't put it into words, the sensations and feelings that come with fighting life-size monsters and being completely surrounded by nothing but the game.
Tonight we'll take focus on four of my favourite PSVR titles as well as some honourable mentions.
These are:
Thumper
Rez Infinite
Resident Evil 7
Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission
Honourable Mentions:
Super hyper cube
Job Simulator
Eagle flight
Rush of Blood
Werewolves within
100ft robot golf
Bound VR
Tumble VR
So why not get yourself a beverage and join us.
I truly would love to have you come along for the ride.

22 minutes = few minutes.
must be intentional
MrFlapjack Must be him lol
Would only have clicked on this if it was GreenHamGaming; great video as always, and nice to see just how the PS4 Copes with VR
Budget-Builds Official woah your channel has grown in the last month 500 - 11K
Greenham has the most soothing voice, and something about his video style totally relaxes me.
Just woke up, a green ham gaming video in my sub box, truly bliss is achieved.
You're alive!
It sucks what you went through. :(
I've been debating beers all day, and when you said to get a beverage I immediately paused the video, got up, went to the liquor store, picked out a selection of 7 fine local craft brews, and then returned home. Easily the best way to enjoy this video and awesome stuff as always.
"Like Jackscepticeye"
Ya know, Jack is a VERY sceptic eye...
YOU REACHED 100K!?!? YES!!
thanks for the awesome video. man your Channel blew up. I've been subscribed for a long time. I think when I started subbing you had like 20,000 Subs. maybe even less. can't remember
7:50 I recognized California soul right away- it's from two of my favourite video games, GTA V and Driver San Francisco
Hello Green Ham Gaming.
I've been waiting for VR since I was in my late teens in the early '90s, after reading William Gibson's 'Neuromancer', followed by watching 'The Lawnmower Man' a little while later.
However, after over two decades, having finally made it to the future, after seeing how empty my wallet is in relation to the prices they're asking for VR today, guess how much longer I'm going to have to wait until I can finally purchase the experience for myself.
(Enjoying your VR experience vicariously while munching my way through a big bag of Aussie-style Lucky Country soft liquorice, without once experiencing VR sickness. ;-) )
Your videos are so chill
Hey GHG you should do a video about your filming space and a general tour of your setup that would be amazing...
This video is mighty good!
But one question GHG:
I know nothing about Star Wars, literally nothing, maybe because Star Wars was pretty old when I was a kid, and also, as a kid I never had any time to watch some Star Wars. Also, it doesn't air on TV where I live.
Now, I want to get into Star Wars. Know what shit this is and why are people so mighty crazy about it. Also, I want to play the new Battlefront without feeling lost, and having no sense about the narrative.
So, from where and how should I begin Star Wars franchise, so that I am knowledgeable enough to understand what's going on in the movies and the games?
Watch the movies first.
The prequels are a good start, but if you don’t like them you’ll like 4-6.
good review kid ,very relaxing too
Do you have an Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad or Extreme poster?
no batman?

beer of course :D
I often find a new GHG video is like Christmas. You cannot wait for him to upload a vid, then all of a sudden, he does and you can't click on the video soon enough. You think - "ooh what's going to be in it?!" You watch it, you enjoy it and as quick as you clicked on it, it's over. Then you have to wait for another vid to be uploaded an the cycle starts again.
I'm sure you can kind of see where I'm going with this analogy
GAMERS UNITE Just be happy we got 22 some odd minutes this time. lol
I'm not saying it's a bad thing at all. In fact it's a good thing in my opinion. If you were bombarded with content you'd get bored of seeing it after a while, if you see what I mean, at the moment it's good because there's a long enough wait so you won't get fed up of videos but not so long that you'd go away from the channel either!
GAMERS UNITE very tru
Everyone fails to mention Andrew Reisse. The actual engineer for the damn oculus who was killed in a hit and run.
Jeboon he thought he was wearing a vr lol
j Palmer pushed him in front of traffic. That's why he is Luckey.
Never clicked on a video this fast
xOdachi I tried
I see this comment every time I open the notification.

Finally a upload :D
watched in 360p I was so early XD
The thing about this channel is that since you dont upload that much, it makes the specialness of your videos they much greater which is really cool in my opinion and it's something some people do not see.
Boy don't you monetize your content! We'll help you earn, so u don't need to do that restaurant stuff. Just keep making videos. BTW do you watch cricket. Test series between INDIA and AUSTRALIA is going on! I'm an Indian BTW. Take care buddy and stop smoking(even your PCs)!

Huh, I didn't even realize that PSVR would work on a standard PS4.
The vive or rift setup is only about twice the price of psvr and I would say provides a much better experience. And they are getting cheaper over time! I admit I haven't tried the psvr but I have tried the vive and it was incredible and didn't seem to have the same problems that I've seen described about psvr. Psvr has some cool titles but pc is still the master race!
Pocketkid2 you can't use VR on a 300 dollar PC
True, but the price of a VR capable PC is only about 500 nowadays and it's dropping every few months. Also couple that with the fact that Oculus just dropped the price of their system by $200 and I wouldn't doubt that HTC will follow suit before long.
There's not a single bad video of this guy, it's like creates pure gold
Saving this video for later until I get some tea heated up.
A Green Ham video? About VR?? That is 22 minutes???
Is god rewarding me or something like wtf
I bought the Sony VR on the first day. My friend wanted one and convinced me. I was so fascinated. Unfortunately I got nausea. So I had to sell them. Luckily with profit. Because it was sold out in Germany.
I bought the HTC Vive two months ago. So I have no more "head" problems. There are also many homemade games and demos. There is plenty to try and this is often free. So who has at least a Gtx970, should rather grab the Htc!
I love VR :)
spnBOY Jawoll so geht das xD
boTy playstation vr has 120 hz displays
boTy you can look at the specificafion of the ps vr if you dont believe it.
TheGamersTrailer yeh it has a 120hz display but not one game has reached 60fps properly yet. That's not even the VR sweet spot. Most PSVR games use 30fps and artificially doubles it. If you think a PlayStation can render a game twice (each eye) at 120fps while maintaining decent visuals then you are sorely mistaken and know nothing about hardware
MrDeits97 Not true. Psvr has three modes. Sony made 90hz a minimum requirement.
The modes in which the PSVR displays its frames are as follows:
60hz rendering (by the game/experience) with 120hz display via "asynchronous reprojection."
90hz rendering resulting in a 90hz display
120hz rendering to a 120hz display.
“This means some developers will chase a native 120hz with clever optimisation and/or low-poly graphics, while others will shoot for the are more achievable 60hz by relying on Sony's "asynchronous reprojection", says Page. "Others, however, will go for a native 90hz, the same they'd be aiming for when producing content for the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, albeit on much more powerful hardware."
www.game-debate.com/news/19667/the-tech-behind-playstation-vr-and-how-it-delivers-120-hz-on-console
And Korrix is a 120 hz native title.
www.roadtovr.com/korix-claims-first-psvr-title-run-natively-120hz/
Well, I'm basically blind In one eye so sadly I can't very much enjoy VR.. But this really does look awesome. Wish I could experience It! Ty for the video.
If you enjoy the ability to see as well as you can in real life then you would almost certainly still enjoy and benefit from VR. Sure, you wouldn't get stereo vision, but you don't in real life either. Fortunately, seeing in stereo is only one of many cues that our brain uses to perceive depth. There are many others like motion parallax, which VR also provides since you are able to physically move around your play environment. I have read many accounts from people with vision problems that didn't think they would benefit from or enjoy VR, but once they tried it they were still just as blown away as everyone else.
I get super duper motion sick and can't play for longer than 10 mins (Have tried a friends rift) my eyes also start uncontrollably watering.
+Edwin M. omg 😂😂😂😂
Dear GHG
I like many others love your videos
You have high production quality and go to great lengths to get a video out.
But also me like many others wouldn't mind seeing ads in your videos if it means that you are well and can make more videos.
HE SAID JACKSCEPTICEYE.JACKSCEPTICEYE
gamez2day that made me skeptical
gamez2day jack gay and shit now
You should be thankful that he didn't say Jackspidicey
Jack Spedeicy*
gamez2day jackcrapticeye
Have you tried hooking up your PSVR to your PC? It is possible and works pretty well with Steam VR. I did something similar with a wiimote and a homemade phone based headset. I plan on creating my own non phone based headset with tiny half inch CRT's, but I can't seem to source any of the rare color crt camcorder viewfinders. This means that I may have to just settle for black and white CRT's.
PLEASE monetize your stuff.
virtual reality: not physically getting laid but made by software to appear to do so
This has got to be one of the most underrated channels that I know of.
Also, I am not ready for VR yet, so I might skip it.
$600 nowadays is actually way less money than 1990s $600. The Neo Geo launched for $649.99 however if we adjust for inflation it's actual value was actually over $1100. I really hate when people don't take inflation into consideration because the truth is that modern consoles are not more expensive than the 90s consoles. Sure the numbers were lower but also people did not earn as much as today back then... I actually remember it was very costly for my father to buy the console and the games back then.
I wandered what you had been working on and why we hadn't seen any new videos lately. While I do believe that everyone should have to work in a restaurant atleast once in their life, I will NEVER do it again. No product on earth will ever exist that I would take a job in a restaurant just to get one. It sucks and you did a good job of not making it seem as bad as it was. Unfortunately, the kind of people you end up working with are definitely part of that.
Anyways... thanks for the tour of the Playstation VR @Green Ham Gaming. Loved your video as usual although I dont think any VR products are for me.
If you have a PSVR, pick up Golem. It's an exclusive made by Bungie veterans, including Marty O'Donnell, who we all know for Halo's incredible music.
These are great quality videos you got my sub so fast you seem like a great person and your videos are really interesting, you go into lots of depth in a lot of your videos, my favorite being whats inside the Wii U.
It was a really informative video and i learned a lot and your content is quality over all.
Keep doing what your doing and most importantly what makes you happy great job man :)
production quality top notch
who's jackskepticeye? 3:12
Protip: Don't get PSVR unless you have a PS4 Pro. If you don't, you will be greeted by a blurry muddy mess of low-res.
a good portion of the video is of his tv lol
I just need a small loan of 3000 $ for getting that epic vive setup oh and an additional small loan of $500 since taxes are a bitch
have you got any new components for your pc to
just thinking cause you have rendered a video in 1080p60 video
vr sickness doesnt effect me, i was able to play half life 2 with the dk2 on a super shit pc. getting like 30 fps with the headset on never vomited once. i think i can handle vr
Vr in minecraft with shaders is amazing
why only 360p? dangit. (may have been updated by the time you read this, but still)
Not jacksepticeye but jackspedicey
they just now dropped the price of the Oculus Rift and touch controllers down to $600 you really should have bought that instead
Tanya Santana if he doesn't have a pc capable of running games in vr, getting oculus is pointless. He'd have to invest quite a bit money for a pc, even if he get's the parts used
$600 USD that is. AUS is worth much less per dollar
player one it dropped to $400 now. But it does require a powerful PC. But, you can get a ps vr used for $200.
Its 399 here
1991 VR was vaporwave as fuck
Haven't watched the video yet but I got my tea and I'm ready for some fucking green ham
What are your thoughts on the cheaper windows 'mixed reality' VR headsets?
They are ok as long as you have never used a real VR headset on a capable pc.
Can you make a video on how to set up an SSD boot and HDD storage/intalls?
If i comment early enough will the Tea king reply? Pls bby
"popular youtubers like jackskepticeye"
are you sure about that
nninntendo sswwittich
how come your not uploading as often? i like your videos
Always TOP notch content! never disappointed.
We have been blessed with another amazing Green Ham video!
Here after playing Half Life Alyx... VR is cool
Only the real bois watch it when it's still 240p
when origin stole your saying on their download page
I'm just curious. What did you film this with? Love the quality.
PSVR is worth every cent I paid for it 👌
Very, VERY autistic. But I like it!
Over 20 mins of GHG - HOT DAMN!
NEW GHG? 22 MINUTES LONG!?!!! OH MY GOOOOOOODDDD
Quality over quantity, love your videos.
It's amazing that the ps4 can even run vr
should have saved more for a HTC vice.
still waiting for 360 lan party XD
damn I thought my watching channel was first (Cameron Cook)
acecombat in psvr would be awesome
"jack skeptic eye" haha
sounds like a game review channel :P
VR is cool, but it's not catching on.
why does this video have so little views?
I personally saved up my ass as well with a dishwashing job to get the PSVR and PS4 with it cause I never owned a PS4 before, been a nintendo and on and off xbox fan. Best money I ever spent. It's such a great casual gamer accessory and even watching UA-cam VR with it is fun. I just wish it had room scale like HTCVIVE does. But for the price it's lovely. There needs to be more Triple A games though. The experiences are OK if you are just getting into it or you have VR Virgins coming over. Favorite games so far, Rush of Blood, Windlands, Job Simulator.
22 minute GHG videos are bliss
looks like a little casey neistat music
Do VR headsets truly encompass your entire field of view? I have one of those mobile ones, and yea it gives the impression of 3D, but it's like you're looking into 2 circles. Unless it covers your entire peripherals, I just couldn't see myself buying into it .-.
I've barely played mine since preordering it. Others have been more impressed with it than me. I haven't felt sick, just a bit bored. I'm hoping for _Elite: Dangerous_ and _Ace Combat_ to impress me. I haven't tried Move as limited space and a slippy carpet makes it too lethal to do anything but play sitting down. Enjoyed _Kismet, Windlands, Rez: Infinite, Eagle Flight, Jackal Assault, Dirt Rally_ to some extent, but none are essential.
I've preordered _Farpoint_ with the Aim controller and I hope that it will provide some much needed depth. I need more than a super short non revisitable experience to justify the expense. Anyone considering getting one should wait until a price reduction after Xmas, when more titles are likely to have VR modes attached to their normal gameplay like _Dirt Rally_ or one might hope _No Man's Sky_ but Move is a waste of money and likely to be eclipsed by Sony's room scale tracking solution code named Project Trinity.
Hi Tim, great video. I'm looking for a budget build that can run games on par or hopefully better than the PS4 at least fps wise. I've heard good things about the pentium g4560, and I have this build idea. I'd also probably like to emulate games up to ps2
uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vdrnKZ
Would this be a good plan or would you have any other suggestions or a used pc that would be ideal if it got some upgrades?
Also I'm from the uk if that is helpful
If anyone else could advise me as well I would appreciate it
My max budget is about £400
Jonny McCall My advice for you is to buy an SSD and keep the HDD as well. You can use the HDD to store large media files likes pics and vids and some older games while you can use the SSD as a boot drive for the OS and you can install your games on the SSD for better load times.
That's about all the advice i can give. I suggest you watch some vids from a channel called RandomGaminginHD. He makes some really cool budget builds with great performance.
Also, with 400£ as your budget, i think you still have a bit more headroom for upgrades. Maybe 16gigs of ram is better just to make sure you don't get a bottleneck since 8Gb is considered the minimum standard for gaming nowadays. If there is still some money left that you are willing to spend, maybe spend it on an RX580 or 570. The FPS boost is small but considering it's at more or less the same price with slightly better performance, it's a good choice.
oh, i just realized this was a month ago. Sorry bout that.
pronounced jacksepticeye wrong... nope not watching anymore im stopping there
MutoreoCookie accent perhaps?
MutoreoCookie Who cares his channel sucks anyway
Playstation VR will never top the EYETOY!
DOKTA GLITCH eyetoy was the shit, too bad i got no space for it now so i cant use it
JackScepticEye LOL! :P
I think greenham needs ads :)
I hope you're okay. Something tells me you're going through an awakening process. Take the red pill brother. Believe in Aliens.
