I apologize that I'm just catching up to seeing your Dimash reactions and I'm so very enjoying sharing your journey with you! I appreciate your knowledgeable words and your understanding of the dedication and hardwork Dimash has done for the last 24 yrs to get where he is! ❤❤❤
At the end of this song you were speaking of composers needing multiple singers for a song they've written but he just does it on his own. You have a song to react to yet called "Across Endless Dimensions". It was the closing song for an Italian movie called The Creators that unfortunately was due to premier right when covid hit in 2020. However here is a short interview with the director/screenwriter talking about how it took 3 people to present the song to Dimash who yes sang it by himself 😂❤❤❤❤

"She's among us" LOL. When Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose new songs specifically for Dimash, he was like a kid in a candy store. In his first compositions for Dimash, Igor was obsessed with the number of octaves and key changes he could compose for Dimash. Olimpico, his first composition for Dimash, manages exactly 5 octaves with the very last note. You can almost visualize Igor laughing maniacally when Dimash hits that note 😂The composers from different countries who have written specifically for Dimash vary in what they most seem to value most about Dimash's capabilities. The Chinese place a premium on very high notes, while the Kazakhs appear to value tone and dynamics. It's really interesting (to me) from a cultural perspective.

That's an incredibly fascinating insight into the dynamic between Dimash and the composers he collaborates with. Igor Krutoy's enthusiasm for exploring Dimash's vocal range and capabilities is a testament to the creative excitement Dimash brings to his collaborators. It's intriguing how different composers from various cultural backgrounds appreciate and emphasize different aspects of Dimash's extraordinary talent, showcasing the rich diversity in musical appreciation across different regions. I appreciate your thoughtful analysis, and I'm excited to explore these cultural nuances further. If you have any more insights or experiences to share, please feel free to do so. Wait until you hear "Across Endless Dimensions. When you said Diamsh could sing it all, that is exactly what occurred with that song. The composer, Piergiuseppi Zaia, had to get three vocalists to do the song and send the tape to Dimash. Even with three singers, they could do what Dimash did by himself. They could only give him an idea of how the song should be sung.

@@TheWordSmith365 I suggest that you react to the MV of The Story of One Sky first, before watching the live performance. It will give you a greater appreciation of his musical choices in certain segments of the song. The MV is really a mini-movie and can be a bit difficult to follow the first time, so here is a tip: pay attention to the necklace in the video. It will help you to follow the characters in the story line. Oh and by the way, you will hear even more new musical techniques from Dimash. And that is still, not the entire iceberg 😊. From one Carl in NYC to another Carl in South Africa. I listened to all your videos last night and did not hit the forward button but listened to every comment you made. Your reactions are so different from so many other reactors I have seen. You are on a different level from all the others and I enjoy your take that burst forth with intelligence and thoughtfulness. You hit on things I thought no one had noticed. My highest compliment to you is that I see you on a field equal to Dimash with regard to your talents in speaking, communicating and expressing yourself. You shine through as does Dimash. I just wanted to thank you. I wrote he following a few years ago and wanted to share my experiences with you. Thank you! (Would to hear your reaction to his Ave Maria) - In the midst of the global pandemic, I randomly came across and played SOS by Dimash Quadaibergen from the Singer competition and was stunned by his voice and have come to listen to him daily. He has a remarkable gift so unique and rare! In the 19th Century Jenny Lind was the unique singer who touched so many with her voice, but there are no recordings of what she sounded like. Dimash was born in the age of technology and we are blessed to be able to appreciate his gift. He is often called an alien from another planet but it is clear that he is not, but rather a disciplined and hard-working human being who was born into a loving family and understands the blessings he was given.
I believe in my heart that he was blessed by God who touched his soul and bestowed on him this gift. If I ever had the opportunity to meet Dimash, I would not want his signature nor to pose for a picture with him. I would only want to touch his hand for a moment. It would be the closest opportunity for me to be near the grace of God who touched a fellow human being.
I have watched his growth over the years and he has a young heart and is developing the talent he was blessed with. The range of his dream is amazing and he works constantly on it. He learned so much from his time at the Singer competition and it helped to show him what he had to offer to the world. He knows he needs to bring his gift to all and there are many challenges for him.

@@mmsminimalmusic3110Ha ha ha, well this is the first time I've ever heard someone claim that he sings only the first half of a song "live" then the second half mimed. So tell me, how is it that you seem to be the only one to have this opinion? How come all the professional singers and musicians who have also reacted none of them have noticed this obvious deception? I think we both know the answer to these questions, don't we? Never mind, at least you made me laugh. 😄😁😂

    • @mmsminimalmusic3110
      @mmsminimalmusic3110 Рік тому

@@philharris5848 Always glad to make people laugh. With modern technique it is easy to insert tracks into live songs whenever needed. The same happened with Sinful Passion and Stranger. At certain occasions Dimash sings the easier first half live and the more demanding second part is playback. In Sinful Passion it starts with the soprano part, in Stranger with the arabic tunes. He does it even at his concerts.
And the answer to the question why reactors didn't notice: quite simply because they haven't listened to his songs often enough to recognize instantly if a song is the same as one he has performed previously, which is usually the studio version. Once you know the studio version you can hear immediately when you year it again, even at some supposed "live" performance.

    • @lindahake1666

@@mmsminimalmusic3110 I'm afraid you are the only one with that opinion because it is of course entirely false. Of course all singers have to mime to playbacks on very odd occasions usually because of technical reasons on TV programs especially in Russia. However Dimash Never mimes in "live" concerts, that's why you won't find anyone who agrees with your rather silly statements. I've watched Dimash perform hundreds of times, so I know what I'm talking about. 😄

I'll leave you here an analysis that was done by an Italian gentleman named Unico Unici. Please read it carefully, and you will find the most precise definition of Dimash and his art that has ever been made.
"I've known Bel Canto since I was born. Let's make one thing clear: Dimash isn't just good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the field of sound, Dimash is a totality. This is no longer just about octaves (7), whistle registers, or even more than a simple, immense and vocal technique; Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what is called a stem cell in biology. In this sense, it's a 'mother voice.' From this cell, you can generate any type of tissue, what are commonly called musical genres. His transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash doesn't sing different genres (opera, pop, rock, even rap, jazz, crossover, etc...). Dimash has had all the genres from the beginning. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloratura, an inflection, a declination of his overall voice. The same applies, of course, to all his vocal registers. This also leads to the fact that he easily sings in various languages (14 languages at the moment). Different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of his overall sound.
Allow me to give you an example that is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not exclusively dedicating himself to opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing, and this is perfectly consistent with his nature and value. Dimash is not just an opera singer, nor just rock, nor just pop, nor anything specified and specific, simply because he is a 'holistic' singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a 'singing system' that is nothing more than the sum of his own parts. He sings with his whole body. This fact not only refers to technical considerations related to posture to be taken at different times and modes of singing. It is, above all, as I said, in Dimash, singing is equivalent to the whole organism.
I suppose this should have happened to someone sooner or later, and yes, it happened to this Kazakh boy. In summary: Other singers, all the other singers, interpret a song. Dimash performs himself."

He has said in an interview that he trains a minimum of 3 hours a day. He knows he is gifted, both biologically as well as the sacrifices his family has made for him. He feels a responsibility to continue to learn and grow to thank his family for all the gifts he has been given. He is currently working on his PhD, because he wants to continue to learn.

Luckily he's working with Walter Afanasieff in LA who wrote for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey so he's got someone who can deal with his range but Dimash also enjoys working in areas where he doesn't flex his vocal range but focuses on dynamics and emotions. He said earlier this year that he's written 5 songs in the jazz blues genres and his recent jazz funk version of the old Kazakh folk song Dudarai was absolutely brilliant.

Thank you, Carl, for your super entertaining reaction to our beloved Dimash. Your reaction made my day. Dimash can't be put in a box or categorized into one genre or another, because he can sing anything and everything. Yes, he has the capability of the entire operatic range inside him. Yes, he can skip around while belting and in full complete control of his voice. He can drop to his knees, which he does often, and you never hear any shift or break or tremor in his voice. There is no one else who can do what he does. Must check out "El Amor En Ti" You will know what I mean. He does sing his own composition. Unforgettable Day, Omir, Story of One Sky, El Amor En Ti to just name a few. The Dimash rabbit hole is very deep.

Super appreciate each reactor who takes the video back 5 seconds when restarting!! 👏It's less disjointed or jarring!! Thank U 4 the replays!!!!!! 🎉 Life is simply not fair! She clearly favors some WAY WAY!! above the rest of us 😞 When I die, my first question will be "How do you get to have a life like Dimash?" Born into a perfect musical family, adores and "idolizes" his parents, 6ft 3inches tall, stunning facial bone structure and features, perfect hair and skin - modeled part time for years, voted at least 3 years running to be the most beautiful Asian Male in the world, comes from very emotionally and psychologically healthy and intelligent parents, appears to have no emotional or psychological issues, had a "VERY happy childhood", adores grandparents and siblings, his best friend is a brilliant music arranger for him with Dimash of course heavily contributing, a Billionaire composer comes out of retirement JUST for you....shall I go on? OK then I will....never drinks, drugs or clubs EVER. Totally able to focus without anxiety or distractions.....just the golden ticket life. So happy for him truly. I pray in my own non-religious way that he will continue to ever more and realize even higher - all of his dreams.....but man, that is a LOT of "gold" all in one single human being!!

What we are now finding about Dimash is that his creativity is expanding further than his vocals. I say this because in the last year or so he has made his own compositions and at first listen several of them are not as vocally spectacular as the ones you are watching, BUT the story in the MVs, the art in the MVs, and the depth of the lyrics are outstanding. This is a man who is continuosly changing, like a chameleon, always morphing into something else as he moves along his creative path. Some of his own compositions at first listen I thought 'meh'. They didn't blow me away TBH. One in particular I listened to before he released the MV to go with it and I didn't like it. I was shocked. How could I NOT like something by Dimash? I was disappointed. Then the video came out and I watched it and I was blown away by something else. The lyrics did NOT fit the story of the MV. The MV was like a film noir, and the ending was... OMG. Suddenly you had a multi-layered story in front of you with hidden meanings. Clever, twisted and unexpected (the song was called Okey). So I have to let you know, you have many many surprises in store for you. Don't go off track, keep moving through his catalogue. You don't want to miss a thing! 😂😂😂
