No particular one, if you Google "Segmented turning calculator" many will pop up.

There are numerous segmented bowl calculators you can find online. Here’s a free one Chris Marshall used for calculating the segment sizes and angles in his segmented bowl video:

Can you explain the jig you used the top when you turn the bowl around to shape the bottom?

That is called a Longworth Chuck. You can watch a video and read more about how it works and how to make one here - www.woodworkersjournal.com/bowl-turning-longworth-chuck-routing-pattern-cnc-files/ - Thanks!

hoe to you determin the stop block location? if i set for 3 inches the segments do not come out 3 inches due to the angle, the calculators only show the cut length, so if it says 3 inches how far away should the stop block be?

Good video but I click on the link in the Rockler Email sent to me that shows a Purple Heart and Yellow Heart Segmented bowl. Where is that video?

Unfortunately we don't have a video available for the purpleheart/yellow heart bowl that was featured in the email. We apologize for the confusion! We've passed your feedback along to our email team. Thanks!

Question. How do you get the segments to stay put once you run them through the table saw? LOL

Hi Stephen, while there are several free online calculators for determining segmented bowl segment sizes, here's the one we used for the Rockler demo video:
