i used to this kind of stuff when i was younger, way over build stuff not because i needed it but just because i had the idea and had to build it. so in the last 2 years how many times have you used your super trick overbuilt vacuum form machine?
Top notch. Very nice machine. I was wondering if I could commission you to make some parts for me. I have made bucks but would rather not build a machine for one time use.
That's awesome man I'd really like to do something like that but on a smaller scale but one good note is cars these days or 75% plastic no more going to the Pull-A-Parts or waiting on an order from RockAuto for you just make you a couple pucks and there you go! I see two words and your future custom parts!
Awesome, dude! Btw, I wanna ask a thing, do you get satisfactory, even heating with those heater arrangement? And for that vacuum tank, do you really calculate the volume required to maintain constant forming pressure? Thank you for your reply!
Foxau2, I was wondering what manufacture solenoid valve you are using? I bought the plans from Protoform, and am making changes to what I think would be more user friendly. Let me know when you get a chance. Thanks! Wayne (Clifton, NJ)
I took a look on eBay and found a brand called Ace Crew for $43 bucks . They also have a website for the specs at: acecrewdirect.com. It is 1" NPT (In and Out) and has a 24 VDC coil. Thanks for posting the video and your reply to my question. Wayne
I actually bought them on ebay. They came out of China. Here is the link: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F232302122105
@@Foxau2 love your work , mine is almost finished but wondering what you used to hold the nichrome wire coil to the ceramic backing boards? Is it just nichrome loops ? Cheers from Australia 😀
@@drujames272 they are cotter pins. The nichrome is held in the loop part of it. It's pushed through and opened on the back side. Very simple solution.
You made it so well !! I am watching this video in Korea. It was written by a translator. Please understand. I want to make the same. Do you have any electrical diagram documents? I wonder what electronic equipment you used. I'm sorry... I have no idea.
That's an incredible build! If you don't me asking, where did you buy the heating elements?
Hello! How thick are the tank walls? and what is the vacuum limit you use? Thank you!
Im sure you are on it but you may want a cover over those heating elements
How many cfm and how many hp is your vacuum pump?
Dude, my new favorite channel. Awesome!
Where can I buy the whole unit
The emergency sound... Yes I hear that :3
Thank you, great work !

Wow mr.,,,, that looks great. What are the pink and white mold made of.
This is a crazy set up with the plc controlling everything. Great work dude.
Nice build! Would you be willing to post the source of the controller plans and/or share the code for those who want to go all in?
Can you show me the systeme of compresor and vaccum pump pls
maybe a tad over engineered for a garage operation, but have fun.
Do you have information on how to build one like that that’s available
Can you post the plans?
Agreed, please post the plans! Thanks!!
Nice work on the automation!
Epic! (cool cars btw!)
Very interested in information on your vacuum solenoid valve. Make and model please and where can I buy one? Thanks in advance.
It is just a generic solenoid valve. I think I paid $40 on ebay for it.

I'm unsure the brand. I just bought it on ebay.

Nice job friend.
Flatlight enlightenment.... thank you.
Amazon job !
did you build the linear press system yourself or is it from something?
I built all of it myself from plans online.
how long does it take to evacuate your tank between cycles?
3-4 minutes for good enough to pull. It takes that long for me to get the part of the bucks...
Nice job on your machine, what gauge wire did you use on your heating elements?

Thank you
That is just so much more complicated and expensive than it needs to be.
The parts were free and I wanted a nice project...

I want to make the same.

I wonder what electronic equipment you used.
I'm sorry...
I have no idea.
I'm sorry I don't really have any schematics or documentation. I was making it all up in my head as I was building it.
Jesus Christ, that thing fucks. I was visualizing cost to build and thinking in arduino code before I saw that goliath PLC..nice fucking work
Why not have a 2 stage vacuum system? Like shop vac and vacuum pump.
Didn't want to deal with the added complexity.
Making some headlight?
Taillight buckets for old Celicas.
