I mean, it doesn't have to be this complicated. Discipline is doing what you said you'd do. What you're suggesting is to build out Robert Dilts' Logical Levels of Change pyramid (from Neuro-Linguistic Programming). A simpler way of doing this would be to start with ONE Intention Statement and Ecology Check (again from NLP), and then to use either Robert Dilts' Hierarchy of Criteria Technique (from his book Beliefs: Pathways to Health and Well-Being), or Byron Katie's The Work to explore any blocks to accomplishing that goal. When you change one thing, you realize you can change anything. But you have to make the change stick on one thing first.
