The moral of this story is : One brother choose to live for money, the other one choose to live for love. One die on a bath of money, the other one live with his love and love make him win money.

Jamal and Malik had to lie and steal to make a living. Latika was prostituted at 12-14 years old, was a mistress for an old, mean, guy after that, Salim became a hitman and threatened to shoot Jamal. That was all in the first hour of the movie.

Wow I remember this movie. Around 2010 or 2011, when we were moving, my family kept playing this movie in our temporary apartment. It was also around my 5th or 6th birthday. The parts that I only remember was him getting interviewed, jumping into a bunch of poop since someone trapped him in there and the girl getting kidnapped in the car. I always wondered what the name of the movie was. It took almost a decade but it was worth it. I can't believe that I'm 14 now. The time flies by

He was the real person in this story and grew up in the Juhu slums of Mumbai. I think there should be more films translated to English from Bollywood. If you have any recommendations, I would love to watch any movies you suggest.
I'm so happy that I waste my money to buy this amazing movie on DVD..
I just watch for like a hundred times :D
This is one of the best movies I ever saw.
I've seen this film lots of times and I still get shivers just with the trailer. So beautiful and intense.
This was as spine tingling, emotional, and epic as it could possibly get. GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!
Who watching after irfan khan death 😭
Me
2020 is really a bad year for Bollywood..they lost many gems
The actual film is so much better than the trailer and that's saying a lot
Whenever I heard the name of this movie in my ear I feel really proud of being an Indian.
The absolute best movie I have ever watched. The one in a century. I love this movie. The masterpiece.
I can't help but comment. THIS IS IS THE BEST MOVIE SO FAR I HAVE EVER WATCHED. Love, from Philippines!
This was one of the best Indian movies I ever watched.
Nooo this trailer is so cheesy but the movie is amazing!!
Trailer is much worse that the actual film
ZadyOne really?
yea the films good
Well how could a trailer compare to the greatness of this movie?
I think he phrased it wrong.
The time flies by
Ive watched it at least 10 times and not bored
Its been a decade and still no other movies can surpass Slumdog Brillance.
One of the most moving and inspiring films I’ve ever seen. Uplifting, moving, and emotional
This was the first movie that i saw where the theater went silent at the end for a second, that's the magic of a great movie, remains my favorite movie ever 👑💜
This won an Oscar ;)
eight oscars to be precise :)
One of the best movies, i've ever seen!
When I watched this movie, it just went up from my mind. Really that era upto 2010 produced some golden flims which can be understood now. When It was released, I was not a suitable audience for it..
Happy 15th Anniversary Slumdog Millionaire!!!
I can watch this movie over & over again lol
I love when Jamal sings to that guy, we watched
this again last night haha
Such a beatiful movie really loved it
Best movie ever in my opinion. Very romantic and powerful. The trailer does no justice for it, but still gives goosebumps every time I watch it.
+Gio Anthony The Academy awards they've won gave justice though.. LOL
"some of us r born with a silver spoon... Some of us in poverty... But we r all the SAME"... 1 of the best movies made in the history of film industry...

I was so impressed by everything in it the first time I watched it in cinemas!
So fantastic and beautiful...just perfect!
Who else came hit to this trailer now when Corona is hitting the slums?

One of the best movies I ever watched!❤️
Well part of the movie is how Jamal Malik and his brother grew up in the slums of Mumbai, and how they struggled there, the story didn't say it was how they grew up in the beautiful Mumbai. It's fine, such an awesome and beautiful movie.
R.I.P IRRFAN SIR🙁🙁
YOU WILL BE MISSED MAN!!
2021 and I'm only finally seeing this movie which I first heard of while in highschool... I loved it as soon as I saw *The Man Who Knew Infinity*

HBO was just playing this 5 mins ago (hadn’t watched it in a while). I will never forget how this movie made me feel! A classic.
LOL I went from crying to happy to crying like 3-4 times during the movie, it's very moving :D
best movie ever, 100x better than any hollywood movie
dude..this is a Hollywood film...only thing is it has Indian actors and some technicians... :)
Sudin Joseph It's actually British based on an Indian novel :)
yep...sorry :)
@@SudinJoseph it's neither Hollywood nor Bollywood. Its a British movie, based on the Indian novel, namely Questions and answers by Vikas swarup, directed by Danny Boyle and produced by Cristian colson. It won eight academy awards in different categories.
I must get round to watching this. I'm always put off by films popular with the masses but perhaps this is an exception.
Who r watching in 2019...???
Amazing movie , just class . Best Indian 🇮🇳 movie ever made .
10/10 HIGHLY recommend
I didn’t even want to watch it , thought it was Bollywood garbage but this was 10/10 , Hollywood style
I love this movie 10/10
And that's how the thinking India is a poor country started in foreign countries....
If British ruler (East India Company) did not rule India for 200 year. You don't make this movie.
They looted every thing and now give us oscar.
Kohinoor can be given instead of Oscar please though it's our own asset 🇮🇳
🥺😏
He did this just so I could remember Regis, I couldn't believe that level of dedication
