I would do ANYTHING to not run a solid flat tappet. I could possibly see not running a solid roller on a car that has to make it hundreds of miles between tracks but it seems to me a hydraulic roller would be perfect for a build like this. Am I wrong?
I've never seen any other transmission scatter, so repetitively, so consistently as a 727. Had a buddy years ago that put a 440-6 and a 727 in a highboy Ford 250. When it scattered, he was hanging out the driver window with near a compound fracture.
Yea, i mean anything runnin in the 9s in the quarter is gonna cost some money....💰 just impossible to build a drag car like that for under 10k... but it is a cool idea and blowers do absolutely work... 💯 and i guess the car is making lil bit of money at these events also, this guy must be self employed and the boss to have time and money to go racing... otherwise he couldn't do all that... Great Video showing what maybe cheapest way to get into the 9 second quarter mile category 🤔 😊
I’d love to build a Dart but one that’s not a major rust bucket is a small fortune. That’s without a drive train. And I’ll be damned if I’d put an LS in a Dart. An old school 383 or 440 would be my preference but a modern hemi out of a junkyard would be cool too. But doing it right under 20 or 30 grand would be an effort.
