This is very comforting. Thank you, Fr. Calloway. Always praying for you, Fr. Alar and all Marian priests and brothers. May God bless you always. 🙏
The fear of going to confession that Mark experience was mine too. First, I talked to my confessor that I want to confess again my grave sin I committed in the past because I felt I didn’t do it well. Although my confessor agreed, I suddenly felt shamed on what I did. For one week,I prayed sincerely to Jesus Divine Mercy to let me see Him in the person of the priest so that I won’t be afraid and ashamed to tell him. The moment I knelt in the confessional, I felt Jesus presence making me feel better and very open that it was so easy to confess. From then on, I love confession because of Jesus who loves to listen to me, gives me His peace, love and joy. “ Be not afraid!” Thanks, Fr. Don.
What a wonderful testimony!❣️. In the beginning I was so stressed about confession it almost triggered a panic attack but now I know I’ll feel so very happy for having participated in that sacrament. 🙏

beautiful!
Thank you for that, ofelia. I loved the part where you wrote, ;”Jesus loves to listen to me.” What a perfect thing to remember!
Due to my hearing loss, I need to go to confession face to face. I make an effort to go during the weekend of every 1st Friday/1st Saturday. God bless you, Father Don! I look forward to seeing you again during the Divine Mercy Conference next month.
maybe i’ll see you there too!

Dear father Don, thank you for your words, your books, and your love to Our Lady and Our Lord, may God bless you, your dear parents, and all Marians always.
I am very thankful for the sacrament of confession.
Thank you Father Calloway 🌹
The Consequences Of "Not Confessing", Can Be Worse Than Overcoming, The Shame Or Fear Of Confession.
Thanks Father!!!
you’re not alone mark - i don’t always like going to confession but i always feel better afterwards. the more i go the easier it gets too. i have found that preparation is key for me. i go over each commandment and try to remember any sins under each one i have committed. i write them down and i bring my list with me into the confessional. i also have my written guide of what i’m supposed to say - i got that from my parish website. these help me when i am very nervous so that i don’t forget and helps calm my nerves. i hope this helps you too. the big sins are the hardest to voice but that just means you’re truly sorry for committing them and Jesus loves that! good luck to you
prayers 🙏🏼
I get scared too for some reason. I mumbled & at times, " get mental lapse".
Bringing a " cheat sheet" with me helps me focus. Oftentimes, I go over with 7 deadly sins & assess myself.
Thanks for your comforting message Fr., God bless!
totally agree! helps me so much to examine conscience beforehand and make a cheat sheet to bring in. 😊
Im bawling my eyes out, I need to go because Im recieving first communion and Im terrified.
Thank you fr Donald Calloway's 🙏 for your great talk how to tell 👏 our sin yes we do need to be free from our sins by making devil 😈 get out Amen Amen 🙏.
Thank you Fr. Calloway for your kindness in addressing this for Mark and for us. I fear going to confession, too.
Thank you Father Calloway for sharing your personal preferences about how you go to confession. I am constantly struck by the great humility and openness that are characteristics across the members of your community. (There are so many more admirable qualities too numerous to mention.). I’m looking forward to a spring visit at the National Shrine. God bless you and all of your brothers.
Hi Fr Donald, it's great seeing you again. God Bless you

Thank you Fr. Don.God bless you always!
Confession is a gift, take advantage of it. I love going to confession is divine therapy for me. I heard John Paul 11 go to confession almost everyday
Pray to Our Lady to have you come and visit our country of South Africa, will be very grateful to listen to you talk about your conversion, the young people need to hear about your journey,I have sent one of your videos to my sister and she said she saw you in Ireland, wish we could see you in our country, many thanks Fr for reaching out to us 🙏🙏😇
Thank you Fr Calloway
Being scared is not a problem I have. I'd love to go, but do not have the means to do so, even for Mass. If I had good shoes and a decent bike, I'd be going to Mass daily, and weekly confession.
Where do you live, Michael?

I would rather go face to face. The idea of not seeing the person freaks me out more. Thank God we only have to do this once a year, otherwise I would probably die of a stroke.
That helps me as well 😌
I wish I wasn't such a sinner!
Look at my priest face to face every time I go. Can't hide from your sins people. Repent and mean it, don't hide behind that screen.
One time I went to a bilingual priest who was doing Spanish on one side, then turning around and doing English on the other side. He got confused and started talking to me in Spanish. The only word I recognized was Domingo.
"pray the rosary every day" --- Our Lady of Fatima --- 1917 -
I prefer face to face because my priest is vietnamese and talks fast. But hes so good
I feel the same way, I haven't confessed in years. I really will be embarassed or nervous to confess my sins. But I realize the importance of confession and how bad sin is.
Yes, God bless you and please never be afraid to receive the grace of confession.
I’m going to be confirmed at Easter this year (2023) and Deacon said in RCIA that those of us who are candidates are to go to confession. I was terrified. When I went into the room, Father greeted me in English and Spanish from behind a screen which terrified me further. So I said, “Hi Father. It’s Jenni.” This told him two things: 1. This will be in English and 2. This is my first confession. Facing Father was also an option so I faced him and we had a nice conversation. My preference is facing Father. He promised it would easier next time.
That is awesome, thank you for sharing
Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough. Luke 13:24. That narrow door is the door to the confessional and many don't have the intrepid strength to enter it.
Go directly to Jesus for your confessions. 🙏🔥❤️✅ Go to your priest that you’re comfortable with, but there’s nothing like it to go directly to God.🙏🔥❤️✅ OMG! Jesus is just waiting for all of us , and I hope that it will help you too with due respect to all the priests😊Amen.

I hate my habitual sin. Always the same sin. 😔
I will come into the church on Easter vigil of 2024. I do not want to give my confession to my regular priest at my parish I would rather go to another parish where they do not know me and give my confession. I guess I’ve been rejected and judged too many times in my life and I just don’t wanna do it. I don’t know what to do.
Yes you can go to any priest you choose
I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house anymore after CoviD ❤️🙏🏼
Scared Priests are too busy to be bothered with confession. 15 mins before Sunday mass-Ha! What happened to Saturday afternoons?
Father why same time I think that my sins aer not forgotten although I go to confess and pls why I am parying for convert of my family and to be friends with our enemy's and I am not getting them plsssssssssssssss thksssssss help us
I don’t think the priest should sit in an isle and let people come to him face to face… this happened to me a few weeks ago. I like a booth and a screen . I don’t think priests should do that .
Unfortunately today's church doesn't have private booths. Since the church changed unfortunately people rather not go and confess straight to God. Now Latin Mass is being restricted as well as body of the Lord being given in the hand by lay people . The church is in a mess. Im a catholic and always will be. But the church needs a pope that treasures true Catholicism.
Fr. How do I say a good confession,?
I’m so scared. I haven’t been in ten years. The guilt of my sins is tearing me apart from the inside. But I have no strength.
But I have so many fears. Ive never met my local priest and I don’t want to share my anxieties with him because i am very sensitive to criticism, and if he is unkind he is the only priest in my area and I’ll have no where else to go. I also don’t think I could even be forgiven because I don’t go to sunday/holy day masses because crowds give me severe anxiety, so I will have no intention to stop sinning in that regard and my confession would likely be invalid.
Jesus is pulling me to confession so much but when I ask Him for help and strength nothing comes ):. I’ve been asking Him for three months, I feel abandoned. Maybe He will use someone seeing this comment to help me.
You are experiencing intense spiritual warfare. I am not making light of your anxiety, but understand the evil one and his minions use those things against you. A test to tell how much is your natural anxiety, and how much is manipulation from the devils, is to make the Sign of the Cross. If your anxiety lessens then you know some of it was the spiritual warfare.
As far as Confession… Again, everything you’ve said about your fears are verbatim temptations from the devil to keep you away from the Sacrament. Use that knowledge to push against the fears you experience. Also, you have to contact the priest. Do it through email if it’s easier for you. Your sins are not unforgivable, but you have to make the effort to break the spiritual trap Satan has you in. Take small steps- use the Sign of the Cross and counter the negative thoughts with the knowledge those thoughts are temptations to keep you away from Confession. And contact your priest. Figure out some way that you can overcome your anxiety and contact him.
Be not afraid. Know that God is all loving, powerful and merciful. Book an appointment with your local priest. Speak to him in private and when you are prepared and ready, then do your confession. After that you will need to do penance. Not only what the priest gives you, but more prayer, fasting and almsgiving. God loves you very much and is calling you. Say yes to Him. He is the only one who can free us all. Pray the holy rosary daily and the Divine Mercy
If I have said anything wrong, please correct me Fr. Don Calloway or Fr. Chris Alar or any of the Marian priests. I have only just started learning our faith through Fr. Chris Alar.
Please don't fear confession as it is a sacrament of Mercy
I would also add that Satan wants to keep you away from going to confession because your soul becomes pure. He hates that. Another thing that helps is to write your sins down because it helps you to remember them and stay focused. I also bring in an Act of Contrition pamphlet because I freeze up on that one. I also use the screen and I feel that it helps make it easier. Remember, Jesus already knows your sins. The sin of pride keeps us away from him. You'll feel great when you're done and you receive tons of grace to help you in your struggles to stay close to him. 💕🙏💕
And make 100% sure you do not bring your cell phone with you!
No way! I have steal a candy...
Yeah it's not the grave sins I'd be worried about confessing I'm more dreading the embarrassment of sharing stupid sins esp with a priest who recognizes my voice haha i keep wondering if he'll say "why on earth would you think that"!
Father , what do you do about feelings you have that are sinful but you arent sorry for ? Not that I would do this but I feel that Drag Queens who perform for Children should be shot like rabid dogs in the street. No matter how I want to feel sorry about it I just cant. I wouldnt feel bad for a second if I saw someone shoot them and I wouldnt help the police catch whoever did it , I would probably steer them in the wrong direction. I have tried to make myself not hate these freaks but I cant and I'm not really the least bit sorry for it. I dont want to go to hell but I cant help how I feel , am I doomed ?
Thank you James but remember Christ loved everyone. That does not mean we condone or agree with what they do but we need to pray for their conversion. God bless
@@DivineMercy_Official Thank you for replying to me. I spoke with my Parish Priest and he said the same thing and also explained to me the difference between Righteous Anger and Hatred , and that Gid maybe was testing me and allowing a Spiritual Attack upon me to awaken me to the danger of allowing my feelings go beyond what is acceptable thus allowing me to grow Spiritually. I understand now better and prayed a Rosary for those People who participate in such things. Hate the Sin not the Sinner. Vengeance is not up to me it's up to God . He also explained that I should use my Just Anger to peaceful Protest such events but to never resort to violence. They will recieve what they earn from God not me. Thank You for the help and God Bless you all.
