I just bought an 8x8 backdrop today I live in a studio apartment yet I wanted to maintain a backdrop in a way that makes sense for the minimalist vibe in said space so this Westcott backdrop was the right call to make
Incredible product. I just had a very bad experience with a standard backdrop stand on location a few weeks ago and it's really stepped up my desire to replace that system. I've wanted a better and more portable system for on location backdrops for years, and while the original X-drop is good it's just a bit small for group shots. Will definitely be getting one of these! Hoping the Australia shipping option isn't too painful 😅
looks nice. I'd like to use a 8'x8' backdrop with 8' width but only 7' height. How can we do that ? it is going to float a lot at middle if we disconnect the lower rings
I bought the neutral gray backdrop, but one side is "fuzzy", the other is smooth. I'm assuming the "fuzzy" side is the correct side facing the subject?
I have a vinyl backdrop with no stretch. It is not wide enough on the bottom to reach the bottom hooks when the lower skinny legs are extended and the upper arms are locked into the 5x7 notches. When the lower skinny legs are extended the frame is 5'7" wide and now the backdrop does not fit. It takes time to figure out what legs need to be what length to make it fit and it is still not flat. Am I doing something wrong?
What are the rear side hooks for on the bottom legs? (it looks as though the background is hooked on the front side but there is also a hook that goes toward the rear of the stand)
Love everything from improved build and mostly the larger 8x8 and the ability to use the smaller size drops, brilliant!

brilliant change to already an amazing xdrop! Love all the new features!
Brilliant
I have the 5 x7 X Drop, now I wish I had the Pro, since it can be so versatile with the size!!

Thanks Chris!! We built the X-Drop Pro to make setting up large backdrops easily and evenly with one person as simple as possible.
Using 5x7 vinyl. Cannot figure out how to get the legs down to 5’ so I can attach the backdrop at the bottom. Please help!
Looks great!
Now I gotta get the x drop pro
Yes you do! 😀
Nice upgrade! Hope it’s far more durable than the original one. Loved it but win hoping for a bit more heft.
Thanks!! A lot of user feedback and experience went into these upgrades!
Thank you!
Very cool!

So the fuzzy part is what should be on the outside?
So to get rid of the wrinkles I put it in the dryer? How long? I don’t want to shrink my backdrops.
Awesome
Genius
Will these fit in an 8 foot ceiling room?

that is correct!
3.14 looks like there's still wrinkles.....is it totally wrinkle free when adjusted correctly?

Is there a way to turn the 8x8 to smaller?
For those who have had this over a few months, how durable is the stand?
I need a video for 8x13
It goes on the same way, you just have to pull the sweep tight at the bottom of the backdrop!
@@WestcottLighting thanks

Weight bags
My upper arms don’t lock in the outer position , just the 5’ position.

I just received my X-Drop Pro today and noticed the same issue. Did this get resolved for you?
