I really think there will be a second season, since Given became very popular. However, the manga is still ongoing, so we need to let the author finish the arc about Shizusumi and Hiiragi, not everything about Given were told in the current story. But the second season is more likely to be about the relationship between Hiiragi and Shizusumi. (sorry for my bad English, I hope you'll understand ;-; )
I've been reading the manga after I watched the anime last April 2020, damn. This was the first anime that made me cry and the next was Violet Evergarden. These two are my favorite anime. As I am really in love with music, I couldn't sleep every night if i didn't listen to Marutsuke and Fuyu no Hanashi. Then the movie came, so i listened i think to all the songs of Given every night, also I cried every night because of it hahaha but anw, the tears were worth it. I reallyy love Given. This anime was also introduced me to embrace shounen-ai genre hahaha and of course on watching anime. I am really addicted in watching anime because of Given and just imagining things about love that i won't ever experience to someone. Given has many lessons and can even gives you hope again to fall in love.
Watch Your Lie in April, it's another sad anime with music theme (a broken hearted suicidal pianist meet an optimistic violinist who actually has a serious illness) Other music theme anime that have very good stories and musics are Carole & Tuesday and Sakamichi no Apollon (Apollo in The Slope)

My favorite song from Given. I’m not even sure why. I like 冬場のはなし too don’t get me wrong but I think all the musical elements in this one the way the song moves makes it magical. The singer and the lyrics are truly the best part. Songs that are meaningless to me I never bother with, so I love this one. It’s got deep meaning and music is such a good way to express that.
