Thank you for the tours and guidance. However, I'm afraid it will most likely be apartment living for me. A townhome or condo in the future though. I'm working on relocating from Arizona originally from Indianapolis and falling in love with Wyoming slowly but surely. I'm not getting any younger though and will be reaching 60 this October. I am female, again, it's nice to see your videos and to get to know the realtors in the area.
My wife and I love older homes, I was looking in Cheyenne and saw a few beautiful old homes for a great price. I didn’t see any for sale in Casper, but noticed in this video that the street you were walking down had some older bungalows. Which city are you in for this video? I love your videos and the great information you are sharing.
Thanks for the video. Great summary. Lived in Wyoming for decades. WY described as a community connected with very long avenues/roads. The wind, winter, and the ranch/cowboy culture do take a bit of adaptation. But, the WY tough make it. Limited agriculture diversity. Nice & friendly folks. Low crime.
I'm 54 and an electrical contractor in Texas. Been here all my life and have always wanted to move to Wyoming. So tired of the heat and humidity in northeast Texas. If I thought I could make a living there I'd leave today.
There would be plenty of work for you in Casper or Cheyenne. I don't know much about other areas. But just know at 51, I have decided that due to the brutally cold winters, I don't think I will live there again. Being a snowbird is the way to go. Wyoming in late spring and summer ONLY.😂
I've been thinking about Wyoming for a while. Recently retired, love motorcycling, Marine Corps veteran and still want to work. Can you offer any suggests to help resolve my situation?
Thank you for the quick response. I've spent almost 20 years in the motorsports business; motorcycles, watercraft, snowmobiles, etc., and have several years in admin/clerical, including working for the State of Oregon, unemployment department. I'm also a trained sous chef. Thank you for your help. @@alishacollinsrealestate
Hi Alisha, thanks for all the info. How is the air in winters in Casper during the snow with the chimney and fire places burning? Is the air bad with smoke around the apartments & neiborhoods? Please let me know. Thanks
@alishacollinsrealestate Thank you!! I really appreciate all of your videos. You and your videos are very helpful and informative! My husband and I will reach out soon!
Potentially coming from Tulsa. I’m in the trades as a maintenance guy but mainly specialize in heat and air. What’s the job market like for those two types of careers?
I'd say pretty decent. Some areas, like Laramie, city kind of shot itself in the foot you're not supposed to place toilets with out permit, least that's how the city ordinance is interpreted. I know the property managers are always looking for Maintenance, mentioning city codes again, some of the cities have ordinances that made everyone gun-shy. A thing I can say about Lander is access to supplies, I did some GC work out there and had to run to Casper for some stuff.
Hello good afternoon Miss Alisha Collins. I'm going to Wyoming in the first week of October, I can't take the Texas heat anymore. I am a 57-year-old woman, well, almost 58. And in my case, I only live off my social security Desabilty. Which town is more affordable for me? Thank you so much.😅
Is it a good place to retire on retirement income only? I'll be 59 when I retire and would love to move to Wyoming. Right now I'm torn between Wyoming and S. Dakota. Are there smaller houses that are more affordable? I'll have a pension, and my 401K to live off of. And then Social security when I turn 62. I don't need a lot of land or a big house since it'll be just me and my dog.
Listen I have lived in Chattanooga tennessee for thirty years . I love casper and Have visited it a few times. I am disabled The right side of my body does not work properly but I work in a grocery store. I have worked in the same grocery store for sixteenn years. Do you think I could get a job in casper? Are there programs The disabled in cas her?
@alishacollinsrealestate Thank you. I love casper. People are nice in chattanooga but people are also nice and casper. I love the wilderness. I am on disability but yet I am also working in a grocery store. I have been working here for almost sixteen years. I work part time
I, like you am from Lander, born and still here...Unfair comparison...cuz we both kno Lander is more beautiful, more fun, more everything than Casper, except crime, concerts and shopping...Go Tigers
You Kno then that Lander blows Casper away with the Wind Rivers...Casper MTN isn't even close to a real MTN...it's a hill... Scenery, if you grew up there you Kno Sinks Canyon, nothing comes close in Casper, why so many Casper tags here during hunting season....Born and raised and still live in the 10....Lander
I was wondering when you were going to compare the two. Thank you so much.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!

I truly love Casper! I love Casper Mountain! I consider it home, though I might never live there again due to the very cold winters.
So far winter this year has been so mild! I agree, if i ever move (not likely) Casper will always be home.
I plan on moving to somewhere in wyoming in the next few years. ❤
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thanks for watching!
