Favourite band of all time. It kinda annoys me when people say they're born in the wrong generation because they don't understand that good music clearly still exists.
whats crazy too is we have the capability to listen to stuff from the past whenever we want, they didnt even have the ability back in the 60-70s to access music so easily, we get it all

It's always amazing to realise, even as a non native english speaker, the lyrics and vibe of mgmt's songs perfectly translate the mood of the times their albums are released. I'm growing up with you and it feels like you're also growing up with us all. This album is as fresh and beautiful as all the others. Please come to France for a concert.

I think it's the nostalgia factor, I think older people will always go back to the music they enjoyed when they were young. If they enjoyed it in their youth, I think that's why they remember it more. Objectively our music is so different now. I personally don't feel that way. I think there's all kinds of music now that's great, whether it's coming out now, or it's from back then.
Proberly based of pop music on the radio from then VS now and or less open to new kinds of music.
Every song deserves a chance. I'd rather find discover music than it being played for me. Just have to be open to listen and not just hear it.

There is not a single person in my circle who knows about this wonderful group that I learned about a couple of years ago, and I am very sad about this. I have no one with whom to discuss the crazy and at the same time fascinating meanings of MGMT songs and videos, no one with whom to rejoice in their new songs. I am very grateful that the guys continue to work and give us new masterpieces. I love Andrew's voice and am glad that it is still as beautiful. Thank you for this wonderful composition

Honestly this is where I’m at, on of their most introspective and romantic albums
In these especially strange and discordant times, this is the song suited for settling the nerves and comforting the soul. I feel like the accompanying video is a worthy companion to the music. From the bottom of my heart, thank you MGMT.

1. How amazing it is that vibe that I got hearing 'Kids' for the first time in my life being 10-12 (not even speaking English at that time, btw), and that I get now turning this on. It is so bittersweet and so relatable, gotten from something that can't be expressed yet is conveyed between the lines of every song.

5 years ago i found out about mgmt ('it was when you die' that introduced me to the band) and i haven't listened to them for 3 years after that, i found this in my recommendations and i have to say, looking back to it, i went through hell in back and this song reminded me how life used to be back when i was naive
