- With Black Panther released, we can cross another hero off the DLC checklist, but who's next? What character is most likely to release after Black Panther. Not only that, what characters can we expect to release into next year and the year after? In this video, I go through what we know so far about future DLC characters, examining things like datamines, easter eggs, and references to determine what DLC characters, villains, and stories will release throughout the next couple years.

I want Magical Characters so bad. Mostly Dr. Strange
I think after the Kree the next villains will be mystical, which is why we’re getting the Easter eggs now. It makes sense according to data mine leaks.

I agree. A lot of it depends on the games success. I think it’s been doing financially better since release, but idk to what extent. I’m hoping that with each new character comes additional opportunity to sell skins, takedowns, etc. So revenue will continue to snowball. I know for sure that my wallet is going to be depleted once spider-man shows up lol

I dnt think they really in a bad place following war for wakanda they just need to add claw to add another gauntlet this time with claw enemies taking place in wakanda add crossbones as a new boss sector then new priority missions then finally the new omega level threat claw if they add that in the next coming months leading up to spiderman which I think they may also release she-hulk probibly shortly after so we will have content hopefully new modes patrol mode in the open world where e ents take place randomly including bosses spawning kinda like a all out war that's endless
I made a concept design for the wasp and Scarlet witch on the subreddit and I hope they take some inspiration from those because I used their history to capture their playstyles

@@alwaysnerdyretros This is exactly why I'm subscribed and why I always watch your video. We think alike. Seriously. It's refreshing because it's like "oh, here's a true fan and gamer who gets it". It's all of these characters that have kept me so optimistic about every release and update to Marvel's Avengers. When I make an attempt to discuss War Machine, Ultron, Captain Marvel etc. with fellow gamers I play with online, it's usually silence on the headset and no one cares or adds anything. You were there to keep MUA3 exciting and now here you are again being that same awesome guy. Thanks!

I don’t think your experience online has been dissimilar to others either, especially from what I’ve seen on Reddit. Whenever people talk about future characters there, people seem to try and divert the conversation to what’s wrong in the game. It’s strange to me, since I find it the most fun to look at future stories, heroes, and villains 🤷♂️

This channel is awesome. it's great to see non click bait, none hyperbolic speculation about this game. few notes on your predictions: I believe echo fighters will be a big part of the future of this game. So I believe war machine development wrapped up and is most likely in the polishing phase, Mar vell will be Denver's echo and I think Doctor strange and Scarlet will be echoes too. I think the lesson from year 1 is to not expect massive story drops like the first 3 characters but perhaps certain characters just rejoining the avengers as the story escalates. I think spiderman will be one of these smaller drops, he won't get a story chain until he leaves exclusivity which normally takes about a year. when we will get a echo like Venom or Miles along with a campaign.

Based on that data mine, I definitely agree with you that it looks like echos were a plan at some point. Especially for characters like Mar-Vell, mockingbird, and War Machine. I just don’t know if that’s still a thing or an early idea that’s been abandoned now.
I wouldn’t be opposed to echoes either. The more characters the better in my opinion. So I guess we’ll see where it goes. I kinda hope you’re right though, so those characters make it in

@@Haradaku hahaha I’m right there with you! War Machine would be incredible if they give him unique abilities. That shoulder mounted turret alone makes me want him as a playable character 😆
Honestly I feel like if they could keep up the schedule excluding Spider-Man then it's best to have two smaller characters every few months, then adding a larger expansion for the third to keep things fresh each year. With each maybe adding an area or outpost but mostly using assets already in the game (like Kate (shield outpost) and clint (future map)), but with black panther you got a new map, outpost, enemies, gimmicks, larger story ect, redesigned aspects like the creates and chests.
For "year 2" it could be she-hulk and Bucky as the smaller expansions with captain marvel introducing a larger base with say nowhere as an outpost, a planet or two as the adventure maps, the kree as new enemies and possibly some new status elements unique to them.
For year 3, we focus on magic having Wanda and another be the smaller expansions but with Dr strange having the big one with the sanctum sanctorum as the outposts and the dark dimension as the adventure map, mindless ones or mystical enemies with a magic gimmick added.
For another 2 larger ones there's potential of crystal having a larger expansion for Attilan and including story of the inhumans and have the inhuman palace as an outpost and the lower areas as the map and other inhumans or alpha primitives as the enemies. Another could be Loki given he has been an avenger before, this would have Asgard as the outpost and Hel or Jotunheim as the adventure map with demons or frost giants as the enemies. This in turn means every year we get 3 characters with major expansions at least once a year.
WOW I WOULD LOVE QUAKE, SCARLET WITCH AKA WANDA, CAROL DANVERS, SHE-HULK, WASP, DR STRANGE, LOKI, THANOS, SHANG CHI, ETC
Fun fact: Dr Voodoo's brother appeared in the first Doctor Strange film as one of the NY Sanctum defenders but was killed.
They need an Asgard update with Loki as a playable character! The Winter Soldier update should bring in a big Cap villain and storyline.
We need characters like moon knight, blade, punisher,dare devil, characters that already have similar fight styles to hero’s we already have in the game like cap, black widow, black panther and Hawkeye. I don’t care for a major story, if they take the fight styles from existing characters and mix it up we could get more characters every couple months!

Just yesterday I watched your video about the extinction key novel and I love all the references and stories and characters that were included there. I believe your roadmap can be possible but I think War Machine might be released on the kree invasion DLC because I just don't know where else could he fit in and also the character between Scarlet witch and Dr Strange could be Moon Knight seeing that Khonshu was a member who took on the Zodiac. Although I wonder if the enemy group The Zodiac will return eventually. FInally about the Loki expansion which I hope it will be on Asgard as an outpost and to explore some realms, it would be cool to see maybe Loki playable eventually I mean he's not exactly a villian and Quicksilver being added would be so unique and really fun to play as! I hope he does because it would an inmense variety to the game! Now the only characters remaining from the datamine are Mar-vell, Quake and Mockingbird but who knows if they come out as you said they may have been dropped but I hope Quake at least comes out. I can't wait for the future of the game!
Yeah some small deviations from this roadmap are definitely likely. I agree that War Machine could should up around kree invasion, maybe after carol? He’s such a tossup it feels like right now lol.
I debated on including Moon Knight in the video, but didn’t have much to back him up with, especially on roadmap placement. Like Quake, I think he’s very possible, im just not sure when.
I really hope we get a Loki Asgard expansion too. Maybe with the frost giants as enemies. I think they were mentioned a bit in the prequel novel and Intel files.

Quake and inferno both are in game or mentioned inferno is a NPC would love to see him as playable also when you first meet inferno he says he is looking for his mom or sister I forget which one so she could be quake. Also vision would be an obvious choice would for a ultron expansion
I really hope we get Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and Ghost Rider.
I feel like because they are so blatantly teased they’ll be streamlining Doctor Strange / Wanda before everyone else. Especially with their movie coming in March. I could see Spider-Man alone in December and then a huge joint DLC for magic users when DS2 releases

X-men really need a game of their own, or at least to be in this one. Storm would be sick, especially if she has like 3 different ranged attacks with wind, lightning, and something else. Also wolverine being like faster more brutal and animalistic black panther

Since Hank Pym and Okoye are summons from Major Artifacts, I could see the same being applied to Wong and Quicksilver. Maybe even Dr. Voodoo.

I'd like Dr Doom to appear, either as a reluctant ally against AIM, or as a villain in his own right. I'd also like it if he was voiced by Simon Templeman again, given he previously worked with Crystal Dynamics before for the Legacy of Kain games.

I think doctor strangers and wanda will come together not only because the movie tie in but because they seem to have a big problem in dark dimension or a big problem that could damage the multiverse and thats why they will appear out of no where asking the avengers for help and for loki i think they will do an asgard expansion where loki and the frost army attack asgard and many more army's but the avengers will help then in the future a return to asgard in ragnarok with thor being playable only and loki as a new hero fighting the gods in ragnarok with thor wielding stormbreaker
Jotunheim is mentioned a little bit in the prequel novel and I think in the intelligence files. So maybe we’ll get frost giant villains down the line too

I think quick silver would made a funny mid level vendor for a video game.
Half threw a level he runs from behind the player running past you and quickly builds a half assed shop.

That's even true, though I'd literally like a lot to have Matt in the game. Considering those who are going to be added (mostly She Hulk and Spiderman), I really think they might mention him even more than what we got from the Hawkeye-Widow speech. Still, I'd been waiting for some major Inhumans to be added as DLC in the game (first of all, THE KING).

If Hank's letter to Hope is to be believed, he was going to retire from being Ant Man sooner or later. What Monica/Scientist Supreme did to him only accelerated his retirement.

I have grown to respect him as a person, even if the stigma of what happened between him and Janet will never go away (despite that they have reconciled during their tenure in the West Coast Avengers). Speaking of which, I really liked his depiction in EMH, even if his mental illness wasn't properly addressed after he became Yellowjacket in Season 2.
I had this super cool idea for a game that would likely never happen on account of Marvel being afraid of risks and actively targeting any audience over the age of 13 but still like sharing the idea:
A *HARD* M-Rated game focused on the more violent and bloody characters, Namely Wolverine, Punisher and Deadpool(plus others, but this is our new trinity) with each focusing on their own unique play style and you choose which to play as before each mission or at the start of the game(and yes I got the Idea from the base concept of this Avengers game). Logan would be the CQC, nigh unkillable tank, Frank would be the walking arsenal, long range fighter and Deadpool would be the perfect balance between the 2(and the games source of levity and comic relief).
It would center on Logan and Frank undergoing some superhero Black Ops stuff with Deadpool being the, initially unwanted 3rd wheel but later becoming vital and possibly the most dangerous member of the 3 after certain events in the story flip his "serious switch", ala the "death of deadpool" and "deadpool's art of war" where he drops the jokes and becomes the most dangerous thing in the room, or as the best description for him EVER states: "If he weren't crazy he would likely be the most dangerous person on the planet" from Marvel UA2 in Nick Fury's files on DP. throughout the story you could bring in other characters like moonknight, elektra, Psylock, Misty Knight, maybe even Daredevil, Winter Soldier, Black Widow and the like.
I’d love a mature game featuring those characters! It’s a tough sell for sure, but I think fans would be open to it
I personally think Avengers should do at least 5 characters per year one per season plus an expansion per year
They can even do multiple characters at once ie wanda and pietro at once

Marvel are masters of Easter eggs...and they are never for nothing. These conversations and others hints are there for a reason. Marvel also likes to make you wait to build up dramatic entrances. Crystal Dynamics may be making this but it is still a Marvel game. Remember that!
I really hope we get somewhat of a story for Spiderman. There is a lot of good lure they could pull from and he has one of the best rogue galleries. But even if he just ends up being simply an additional character, at least we still get him.

Yeah probably not. Honestly I just couldn’t get enough people to watch them and things with the game have been all over the place. I still love it though and play it regularly. I hope it can continue past 2023

You make a solid case for every character here and I hope you turn out to be right. I was going through the codex files to try to see what characters we would get as well but you provided me with some extra knowledge. Also, technically speaking, Nadia Pym and Hope Van Dyne/Pym are the same person; Nadia means “hope” in Russian.
The Wasp deserves her spot on the game. She's the OG first female member of the avengers, their leader at some point. She's even the one who called the team Avengers.
Well all know who we really want, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Crystal Dynamics is sleeping on winning a LOT of people back by simply adding Wolverine, The Thing, or Blade.

apart from spiderman, winter soldier for me is the most anticipated. i doubt they will do it but it would be super badass if they dropped bucky's captain america outfit from the comics for steve or if they could somehow make it work drop bucky's dlc and eventually his cap outfit
With all this time travel and searching for possibilities on how to stop the Kree invasion, I think it might be cool if we branched into alternate realities. Let me explain how that could work.
At the end of the last DLC, we see the robot (I forget his name) observing the Cosmic Cube. I think this could be a foreshadowing to Ultron. As the Avengers tap into alternate possibilities and timelines to see how to beat the Kree, the robot's tampering with the Cosmic Cube causes him to evolve into Ultron. Tired of being a servant to humans who constantly make mistakes while seeing fellow machines destroyed or enslaved, Ultron hacks into the AIM sentries to build his army, believing the earth belongs not to humans or Kree, but machines. During the battle, the Cosmic Cube merges with the Possibility Matrix the Avengers were using to view the alternate timelines for solutions. An explosion occurs, and each of the Avengers are sent to alternate realities.
Planet Doom: a world completely at peace under the reign of Dr. Doom; no crime, no sickness, no war... and no Avengers.
Hail HYDRA: a world where after winning the war, HYDRA found Captain America and brainwashed him into their enforcer, ensuring their reign up to present day.
Loki King of Midgard: a world where without Thor as its protector, Loki now reigns supreme as he prepares for war between Earth and Asgard.
House of M: a world where a virus has wiped out most of humanity; what is left serves the mutants. More specifically, the Master of Magnetism himself, Magneto.
AXIS: a world where the heroes of this world are villains and the villains of this world are heroes.
Kang the Conqueror: a world set where the past, present and future are merged due to the meddlings of a certain time traveling conqueror.
Civil War III: a world where another civil war has come to pass between the heroes.
Dark Reign: a world where the Avengers are disbanded and the world is under the watchful eye of HAMMER Director Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers.
I wasn’t sure what to think at the beginning of your post, but you definitely sold me by the end! Even if just a couple of those alternate stories showed up, Id be happy. Yesterday I was thinking about how cool a Kang DLC could be, and I think the Loki and Norman Osborn ideas sound especially fun too. Great theory! 😃
@@alwaysnerdyretros A lot of people have been speculating that the robot (again, I forgot his name) that's been helping the Avengers will become Ultron. Between time travel and alternating reality, I thought what if the Avengers decided to blend the two in order to find an alternate solution to stopping the Kree? Of course, something would go wrong, and the robot would be infected by the output, beginning an evolution in his programming that would transform him into Ultron.
As of yet, we haven't had much in regards to villains; MODOK, Scientist Supreme, Abomination, Taskmaster and Klaw. I know a lot of people were hoping for a Masters of Evil. The alternate timelines would allow us to not only get great Masters villains like Doom, Red Skull, Baron Zemo, or Loki, etc, but give us stories that fans loved like House of M, Kang the Conqueror, Age of Ultron, etc.
Did you see the reveal of midnight sons and your thoughts on it we are also getting gameplay in like 5 days
I saw it! I’m excited to see a midnight sons game, but I’m not sure about the gameplay style. I never played xcom so I’m anxious to see how the gameplay looks when it’s revealed

Dang bruh, this is actually on point.
Man, the toughest thing is that I just want all these characters already, but all these story arcs (Kree, Ultron, magic, Asgard, the missing sidekicks) feel so disparate, so I can't imagine any way to fold and compress these origin stories so we get them faster. I will say this though: if we have to continue to have a story DLC come with each new character, I would prefer Falcon, the Inhuman Royal Family, and some of the New York heroes to Bucky, She-Hulk, and War Machine, especially as you can now play as multiples of the characters they were apparently intended to be echoes of. Really though, the best of both worlds would be to have an "expansion" that introduces multiple heroes, just like the original campaign!
I’m right there with you. I want so many characters, all as quickly as possible, but I know the development time is long. My hope is that the game continues to generate more money to the point CD can hire more people and turn out updates faster. I know they intended on releasing characters quickly before release, but now, idk what to expect

I think Captain Marvel could be an endgame for the Avengers game given the overall storyline of the Kree Invasion. I think roadmaps will change and we could get Dr. Strange before Captain Marvel.
I wouldn’t hate that, although captain marvel fans surely would lol. For all I know though, Captain marvel could show up before the legit kree invasion while Mar-Vell is saved for the endgame showdown

@@alwaysnerdyretros im not waiting for any characters as I feel like the ghost rider, moonknight and especially venom are quite unlikely for the reason being that there are other more popular characters going to join and the amount of time it takes to make each character, it would be cool if they would join and if at least one of them did I would freak out, but what characters would you like to see most? Not by the most likely or unlikely but just în general im very intrested to hering your opinion
@@zerealdarkcyber318 I’m with you on those characters. Moon Knight probably has the best chance since there are some hints towards him that i didn’t include in the video. As far as my personal hopes and dreams, I desperately want defenders characters like Daredevil and Iron Fist. Those are two of my favorites to read in the comics and their gameplay would be excellent in Avengers. @@alwaysnerdyretros if moonknight will drop then he will probably drop sometime next year close to his disney+ show that is being worked on, I dont know much about the defenders but I know a bit about dare devil, iron fist, and luke cage and they would be pretty intresting to play as them, and from what I have heard of the midnight sons they sound like probably my favorite team as I really like moonknight and ghost rider, and ive heard a bit about blade and they 3 would be cool as playable characters.

Although I will have to say if i am right season 3 will be a little lack luster unless you have a underrated favorite in there besides war machine and falcon.

I feel like Spider-Man will be released at the same time as another character. Or very close to one at least. The devs arent stupid, they know theyll make alot of players unhappy if PS players get a character and they dont

do you know how to get all the intelligence files? even though i completed all 4 parts i don't have all of them
They appear randomly in loot chests. I was able to get them faster through vault missions, since there are so many chests during those missions.

Comics are the same, they show up randomly through chests. Although you can get some specific ones as harm room rewards

Definitely free! DLC will be free for the entirety of the games lifespan. The way they make their money is through optional cosmetics, which funds the dlc. So you can buy the game whenever with no worries 🙂

So in my opinion it would make sense for the heroes that you have mentioned could potentially be coming Spiderman, She Hulk, Winter Soldier, War Machine, Ant Man, Wasp, Vision, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch and Doctor Strange to release before Captain Marvel and the Kree Invasion expansion
This is because at the end of the Kate Bishop Taking Aim dlc Hawkeye mentions that as they were right then they were horribly outgunned for the invasion. I doubt us getting 3 new heroes (Spiderman, She Hulk and Winter Soldier) will tip the balance back in our favor
Also I think that War Machine would be better suited for his own dlc instead of a dlc during the magic phase simply because as far as I am aware he has no connection to magic. I think that Quicksilver would be better because he has somewhat of a connection to magic due to the fact that his sister is Scarlett Witch.
I also believe that whatever Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have planned for Loki should release before the magic phase because he is bad sorcerer so it kind of makes.

Well we know spiderman is next his story is meant to be standalone which was what was originally said. If Panther hadnt have been after Clint I would have said Cpt Marvel cause of the kree mentioned. But considering wakanda whilst wanda and stephen are named i reckon we will more likely get some like war machine or Bucky next to open up the story to lead in to characters like Wanda Stephen and Carol
