I don't think that would work on harder difficulties though. it's actually quite a hard game that requires some micro management of your energy bars and using the right moves to strip armour, stagger and drain HP and stuff. I realised pretty soon that even on the base difficulty, some of the bosses are really quite hard unless you use the right moves at the right time. on the casual difficulty it doesn't matter so much, but even still it's not the easiest thing in the world, some encounters yeah, but others are still pretty demanding.

I think we just need another character that can provide EP as much as she does to shake up the meta. Like making Strange's heal to also regenerate EP while he spends his own. Like a different take on team-wide EP regen, in this case, Strange not benefitting.

Phoenix is broken! That's cannon! Lol she's supposed to be all powerful. Hands down one of the most powerful beings in all of Marvel. She was written that way. That's why whoever is playing host to Phoenix can die like Jean Grey. I get the gaming side of it, but the being known as Phoenix is immortal and was simply written to be a god.
My whole team was in the top ten. As soon as I got the x-men it was all I used. I used Cyclops, wolverine, storm, and psylocke. It’s a fun team with plenty of synergy.
Agreed! My first play through venom never left my team once unlocked. He does good stagger damage and his abilities hit decents areas. Minus his rapid fire which is garbage
cyclops is fun. i like his spread beam to clear frontal crowds and his ricochet beams when they bounce and hit enemies they give off satisfying damage. when the shots hit right.
I have a team of Miles, Captain America, Wolverine, and Black Panther. They all have great synergy and literally cuts down bosses at ease. After putting down High Voltage Lines everyone gets lighning attributes. While it doesn't do alot of damage I noticed that it does help drain stagger bars and gets rid of lots of enemies. All four of them are just super fun to play too.
I personally like: Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Wolverine. Definitely should look into Colossus, Phoenix, Psylock, Ms. Marvel, and Cyclops in the future tho
Gambit is the reason I finally broke down and bought this game, and I'm glad hes so fun, and that he has such an interesting playstyle. They really nailed him.
I'm sad they didn't give Nightcrawler much love, he's one of my favorite marvel characters. Everybody calls him the devil, but all he wanted is to help people and be accepted. He has a heart of gold.

Oh, I dunno. I dislike Wolverine as a character and am annoyed by the oversaturation since the 90s, but for this game, he was one of my go-to characters for difficult trials.
@@Cyke101 Wolverine's definitely a solid character in MUA3, but Black Panther's a bit above the meta in this game. His Vibranium Slash (used alone, not synergized) is ridiculously overpowered that it can shred stagger bars due to so many hits, and he is the only character that can soft-stagger lock even a Lv180 Dark Phoenix if backed up by your own Phoenix's Cleansing Fire. I can only assume the multi-hit stagger damage is a bug, but for now, we take as it is. That said, his kit isnt the best, but with an overpowered skill plus a safeguard synergy which renders him invulnerable for the duration, makes him one of the best characters in MUA3. Wolverine on the other hand, is I think one of the most well balanced, high to top tier character in the game.
Glad my boy Colossus got some love. His flop is both hilarious and a crowd clearer while dealing good damage. Add storm to a team and the flop is ridiculously strong.
His belly flop is somewhat overpowered. Unlike same skills like Hulk's, Thanos, and Luke Cage's grab skills, Colossus's flop consumes only HALF the energy the others use up.
Most of my family members don’t normally play video games, but I want to play through this game with them because we all love Marvel superheroes and I think we’ll have fun playing co-op. I’m looking forward to playing Captain America, I love characters who can protect and buff their allies.

thought it’d be super important to note that, cable can synergize with his own laser with shield and another char at the same time for massive damage. Very much possibly the highest dps in the game. Give it a shot. Drop laser, walk into it, pop shield, it’ll bounce off cable and anyone else who can synergize. enemies in between you will get absolutely fried.
I really think Cap is high/top tier, the same way Wolverine is. They are some of the strongest among the well-balanced characters. I even think him higher in my personal tier list than Wolverine coz of his versatility. Cap's team buff always makes him useful, he has a decent stagger damage skill, and a safeguard ability which is one of the best synergy skills in the game.
So I was using an OP team the entire time. All 4 of them made the top 10. My mains were Phoenix, Wolverine, Colossus & Psylocke. After the F4 dlc my mains are now Infinite Thanos, Doom, Invisible Woman & Phoenix.
I like the list that you and the community made, some characters I question why they are so low or high like Punisher,Ghost Rider,Venom,Elektra and Loki are ones that first to come to mind. Maybe it probably that I made a tier list of my own and I think with characters with a team, single, synergy, extreme attacks and boss fights. But my tier list own have 1-26 since some characters I think equal to one another. And little tip with Blade, when charge up 1 of his abilities you can hold the button down and then get another finger to press 1 of the ability button that ability would takeover and still keep the charge, it doesn't matter if it level 1 or at level 3.

Cable is tricky. So much so I didn't expected him to be on the higher end of the list. But he is really cool and very fun to use. He is a more strategic character than most. I didn't expect to see Blade ranked this high. I don't see people playing as him online at all. He is great though. Cap is a great team player, unsurprisingly. I agree. And very accurate to the character too. Using his shield to reflect boss attacks feels so satisfying. And powering up teammates a fantastic ability no one else possesses in the game. Hulk. Best tank in the game is in the top 10, nice! Thor is easily one of the best characters in the game. So even though he is high, he should be even higher, imo. Cyclops is an energy beast, so no surprise to see him so high on the list. All his abilities are extremely helpful in different ways and situations. Star-Lord. As long as you keep your distance and keep yourself mobile, he is amazing. Best elemental character in the game, imo. Wolverine and Panther are stagger bar killers, so no surprise to see them both ranked this high either. Phoenix at #1 is not surprising. She is a monster. She has poor defense stats, but as long as you have good evasiveness, you will be a monster on the battlefield. All of her moves are fire, so enhancing her with iso-8 is super easy and effective. Her gigantic EP recovering ring of fire and her auto revive are insane. Her health is not affected by the Phoenix Force upgrade in Danger Room either. She is SO good! Great vid, Nerdy! You put a lot of work into this couple of poll videos and it shows. Not only with the poll itself, but with your input on every single character as well. Keep up the good work!

I am LOVING this game so far. Cheezus Krice. It's so much fun and I love how big the roster is. My favorites so far: Wolverine, Cyrstal, Thor, Magneto, Phoenix (just unlocked her the day before yesterday and she is crazy good), Hulk, Cable...maybe forgetting a few but those are my favorites so far. I haven't unlocked Thanos yet and Crystal is my highest level character at 74. I intend to keep her in the rotation until maxed out. But I'm gonna have a blast leveling up everyone lol

Crystal was on the first main team I had for this game before I switched to Elsa/Ghost Rider/Nightcrawler/Wolverine. I remember having a lot of fun with her so whenever I get around to making a secondary team I’m probably getting her back in.

main my party i use in this game Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Storm and Cyclops and I have no trouble with the game I love using Iron Fist dash kick to knock out the guard meter super easily.
That dash kick is amazing against stagger bars, especially when it synergizes. Once they are stunned, I pretty much spam that uppercut for high damage. I’m glad to hear another person is actively using iron first! ✊
@@alwaysnerdyretros you should try using luke cage more often, his an absolute beast if you use Brooklyn assault with synergy burst. Instant stagger and then you can spam the dodge.
See I agree with a good amount of the list but my A team has always been: Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Wolverine, Storm, and Black Panther My B Team: Spider-Man (Peter), Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, and Luke Cage Just a composition I’m comfortable with even though I know there are better ones out there haha
Doesn't mention that going Binary after extreme attack buffs all her attacks and can stay on infinitely if you spam Blast Off and do the air attack then Blast Off again as soon as she touches the ground, repeat this and she will never lose the buff. Also she always gains enough energy to do Blast Off again as long as she hits someone with the air attack, with the aoe of the air attack buffed in Binary its hard to miss, so infinite loop.

It feels like many of the movesets were inspired by Marvel Future Fight. ironman, wolverine, colossus, gambit, wasp, crystal, and cyclops were practically direct ripoffs, and iceman's giant version + jean grey's revive were clearly inspired by the MFF versions of the characters.
My personal top two characters are Deadpool and Starlord. Deadpool can stagger enemies super easily with his heavy attack, his confetti bomb attack is awesome, and he has a healing ability. All of Starlord's attacks are awesome - they look great, offer a variety of different attack styles, and can synergize themselves.
Dr Doom is another self Synergizing character since his robot mimics any ability you use after he is deployed so he can beam synergize with himself hella damage output

So my all-star squad up to this point has been Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Ghost Rider and Elsa Bloodstone. But after this, I'm thinking of replacing those last two with Captain America and Cyclops before I try Ultimate difficulty.
While different characters can be more or less useful for different content, my go-to for level grinding will always be Magneto. Spam heavy-attack during any wave battle infinite node, and it gathers up your enemies, prevents them from basically doing anything, and allows your Comp Teammates to slaughter away with zero risk.
@@alwaysnerdyretros I always found magneto to be my favorite character in all of marvel; however, I think that the ability attacks he has have a habit of being glitchy and not homing to well. That and I think his big attack with the two metal spheres is underwhelming. I never get the damage I'm looking for. That, and cable has a gravity device as well, so I typically roll with him. Any tips for a magneto build?
Any list that doesn't have Cap, DD, Iceman, and Phoenix as the top 4 characters in the game due to buffs/debuffs is mathematically incorrect. Interesting to see whether the community cares more about playing their favorite characters compared to min/maxing though for sure
DD is my favorite character in all of Marvel, but he's pretty weak in MUA3 in my opinion. 2 of his skills are stationary and that is not goid at all in high level gauntlets, his stagger skill misses the second hit 75% of the time which is where the majority of the damage comes from and his debuff is only really useful against bosses, and pretty useless against mobs. Buffs of other characters on the other hand increase the team's total output all the time they are active.
@@Robodob0 uh no. His debuff is the 2nd best source of increasing a team's damage output in the game, only behind Phoenix. DD provides a larger damage boost than Cap. It's why they're both in the strongest team possible.

But knowing that, i'll try playing around more with him in high level gauntlets. Also in this game there's really no definite "strongest team." At least i think it shouldnt, coz in the game's current state, im happy that any team is viable even in high level gauntlets, even though some comps just have a significantly easier time.
@Ryan Stewart group buffing skills provide more to a group than any single character contributes. So yeah, mathematically. Although some has changed now. Phoenix is better than both, and Dr Doom is better than Cap. Top 4 now is Phoenix Thanos2 DD Doom
I tested the numbers and Ms. Marvel actually does way more damage/stagger with her spin. She does about 8000-9500 with every hit. Her spin does 1 hit per rotation to an enemy. Mr. Fantastic has a faster and wider spin but his damage/stagger isn’t as good. His spin has 4-5 multi hits of 1500-2000 damage per hit. His stagger is also much less per hit. The other issue is that he’ll randomly stop spinning sometimes even if you’re mashing, and his spin is interrupted by attacks more easily. This means that Ms. Marvel has higher DPS and is a better boss killer since she will stun/stagger bosses faster and rack up critical damage numbers. But Mr. Fantastic is better for dealing with waves/trash mobs since his spin is faster and covers more ground.

how do I get the old school cap marvel costume please? is it from a rift or something? I don't mind the pixie cut version, but it's not the one I grew up with. (I used to rock the pixie one in marvel heroes on steam though, as it was a newer costume and it looked better. When you got her as a character in that game though, she actually came with both skins)
This and the other video is more of a popularity poll than a character strength poll. The only thing accurate was Phoenix's placing. But it's not hard to see how good she is. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the video.
I think what "Ranked by Community" really means is the character popularity amongst the community. Some of these characters are absolute trash or belong on the lower end of the tier list if you go by the gameplay mechanics and efficiency that they actually offer. Characters like Deadpool, Blade and SpiderMan belong in the bottom 20 of such list yet the community ranks them in top 20 due to character popularity bias. But I get it though, this is more of a casual game for casual players that just want to mash buttons and have fun with their favourite super heroes. And casual players don't really worry about optimisation, their focus is on role playing as some of their personal favourites.
My steam is Ms. MARVEL, HULK, Wolverine e Psylocke. With this team, there is no Stagger Bar or boss that can resist. To Have some fun, I have a second team with Punisher, Phenix, Gambit and Cable. The Punisher's sniper attack is very usefull if done synergized cause it does a good damage and travels the scenario, piercing enemyes and done damage until it reaches the end of the screen. He cold be very fun to play since the most of his atacks sends him back, putting Punisher safe of the range oenoany knockback.
Ngl I been playing everyone to max out the skill tree (I'm on the outer hexagons that, iirc, were added in the DLC) and with the right team any character can really dominate or at least feel that way with satisfying gameplay.
I purchased this game a while ago but have yet to get round to playing it. I am planning on playing in the next few days, just a quick question, with the main story can you play as people like the Phoenix or any of the fantastic 4 characters during the main story if you have the dlc? Or do you have to complete the main game and dlc first before you can play as them?
So yes and no. Your first playthrough you could use the dlc characters towards the end. For example, you have to beat chapter 5 before you unlock the “rise of Phoenix” dlc where you unlock the dlc xmen. However, there are about 2-3 more story difficulties after your first playthrough and you’ll be able to use anyone you’ve unlocked during those.
Ghost Rider Not the best by any means but that motorcycle attack could stagger the entire map. I used Ghost Rider, Magneto, Hulk, and Wolverine for the entire game. Honorable mention: Deadpool, Wasp, and Punisher

The team I use is Deadpool miles Ghost Rider and the last party member is one that I just switch out a lot so I technically have like three permanent members and one slot that I use for a random character
I think they should add like a war mode or something where you can pick 2 teams of 4 and play something like the final battles of New York.. Ultron... Endgame Thanos fight.. Wakanda battle... Assemble a legit Avengers team or full X Men squad and play on a huge battlefield... Maybe have a button to switch between the 2 teams idk.. Just think it would be really cool and epic battles.. What u guys think? Def not gunna happen but whatever

So just got mua 3 a couple days ago and noticed that my Deadpool was lvl 21 compared to everyone ends being lvl 6 had to use him in a team with hulk wolverine and Thor seems to be working well thus far.

Also you should try use cyclops instead of Psylocke or Wolverine

Oh, I dunno. I dislike Wolverine as a character and am annoyed by the oversaturation since the 90s, but for this game, he was one of my go-to characters for difficult trials.
@@Cyke101 Wolverine's definitely a solid character in MUA3, but Black Panther's a bit above the meta in this game. His Vibranium Slash (used alone, not synergized) is ridiculously overpowered that it can shred stagger bars due to so many hits, and he is the only character that can soft-stagger lock even a Lv180 Dark Phoenix if backed up by your own Phoenix's Cleansing Fire.
I can only assume the multi-hit stagger damage is a bug, but for now, we take as it is.
That said, his kit isnt the best, but with an overpowered skill plus a safeguard synergy which renders him invulnerable for the duration, makes him one of the best characters in MUA3.
Wolverine on the other hand, is I think one of the most well balanced, high to top tier character in the game.

Glad my boy Colossus got some love. His flop is both hilarious and a crowd clearer while dealing good damage. Add storm to a team and the flop is ridiculously strong.
His belly flop is somewhat overpowered. Unlike same skills like Hulk's, Thanos, and Luke Cage's grab skills, Colossus's flop consumes only HALF the energy the others use up.
Colossus is the supreme and shining Chad of the game.
Pretty much settled on Deadpool, Spider-Gwen, Psylocke and Loki as my main team.
PHOENIX is my favorite character in the game too.
Most of my family members don’t normally play video games, but I want to play through this game with them because we all love Marvel superheroes and I think we’ll have fun playing co-op. I’m looking forward to playing Captain America, I love characters who can protect and buff their allies.
I think that will be a lot of fun for you and your family! The game is much more fun in co-op. I’m actually pretty envious that you have family that will play this with you lol.

My team is composed of Dr. Doom, Venom, Psylocke and Groot. Fun and quite suprisingly effective especially in danger room.
thought it’d be super important to note that, cable can synergize with his own laser with shield and another char at the same time for massive damage. Very much possibly the highest dps in the game. Give it a shot. Drop laser, walk into it, pop shield, it’ll bounce off cable and anyone else who can synergize. enemies in between you will get absolutely fried.

I really think Cap is high/top tier, the same way Wolverine is. They are some of the strongest among the well-balanced characters. I even think him higher in my personal tier list than Wolverine coz of his versatility.
Cap's team buff always makes him useful, he has a decent stagger damage skill, and a safeguard ability which is one of the best synergy skills in the game.
So I was using an OP team the entire time. All 4 of them made the top 10. My mains were Phoenix, Wolverine, Colossus & Psylocke. After the F4 dlc my mains are now Infinite Thanos, Doom, Invisible Woman & Phoenix.
The hulk and wolverine are always gonna be my two guys
I like the list that you and the community made, some characters I question why they are so low or high like Punisher,Ghost Rider,Venom,Elektra and Loki are ones that first to come to mind. Maybe it probably that I made a tier list of my own and I think with characters with a team, single, synergy, extreme attacks and boss fights. But my tier list own have 1-26 since some characters I think equal to one another. And little tip with Blade, when charge up 1 of his abilities you can hold the button down and then get another finger to press 1 of the ability button that ability would takeover and still keep the charge, it doesn't matter if it level 1 or at level 3.

My team I always use in this game are cap, iron man, Thor, and hulk. Essentially the main avengers. Minus Hawkeye and black widow.

Cable is tricky. So much so I didn't expected him to be on the higher end of the list. But he is really cool and very fun to use. He is a more strategic character than most.
I didn't expect to see Blade ranked this high. I don't see people playing as him online at all. He is great though.
Cap is a great team player, unsurprisingly. I agree. And very accurate to the character too. Using his shield to reflect boss attacks feels so satisfying. And powering up teammates a fantastic ability no one else possesses in the game.
Hulk. Best tank in the game is in the top 10, nice!
Thor is easily one of the best characters in the game. So even though he is high, he should be even higher, imo.
Cyclops is an energy beast, so no surprise to see him so high on the list. All his abilities are extremely helpful in different ways and situations.
Star-Lord. As long as you keep your distance and keep yourself mobile,
he is amazing. Best elemental character in the game, imo.
Wolverine and Panther are stagger bar killers, so no surprise to see them both ranked this high either.
Phoenix at #1 is not surprising. She is a monster. She has poor defense stats, but as long as you have good evasiveness, you will be a monster on the battlefield. All of her moves are fire, so enhancing her with iso-8 is super easy and effective. Her gigantic EP recovering ring of fire and her auto revive are insane. Her health is not affected by the Phoenix Force upgrade in Danger Room either. She is SO good!

Phoenix is no surprise at all. I’ve done two separate polls now, and she’s been number 1 in both. That energy ring alone would’ve put her at number 1 I think

I am LOVING this game so far. Cheezus Krice. It's so much fun and I love how big the roster is.
My favorites so far: Wolverine, Cyrstal, Thor, Magneto, Phoenix (just unlocked her the day before yesterday and she is crazy good), Hulk, Cable...maybe forgetting a few but those are my favorites so far. I haven't unlocked Thanos yet and Crystal is my highest level character at 74. I intend to keep her in the rotation until maxed out. But I'm gonna have a blast leveling up everyone lol

Crystal was on the first main team I had for this game before I switched to Elsa/Ghost Rider/Nightcrawler/Wolverine.
I remember having a lot of fun with her so whenever I get around to making a secondary team I’m probably getting her back in.
She’s really unique and I love playing her for that reason! I’ve just found I need good damage dealers with her

With cable you are supposed to reflect his own beam off of his shield. He kills practically everything
main my party i use in this game Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Storm and Cyclops and I have no trouble with the game I love using Iron Fist dash kick to knock out the guard meter super easily.
That dash kick is amazing against stagger bars, especially when it synergizes. Once they are stunned, I pretty much spam that uppercut for high damage. I’m glad to hear another person is actively using iron first! ✊
@@alwaysnerdyretros you should try using luke cage more often, his an absolute beast if you use Brooklyn assault with synergy burst. Instant stagger and then you can spam the dodge.
See I agree with a good amount of the list but my A team has always been: Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Wolverine, Storm, and Black Panther

Doesn't mention that going Binary after extreme attack buffs all her attacks and can stay on infinitely if you spam Blast Off and do the air attack then Blast Off again as soon as she touches the ground, repeat this and she will never lose the buff. Also she always gains enough energy to do Blast Off again as long as she hits someone with the air attack, with the aoe of the air attack buffed in Binary its hard to miss, so infinite loop.

It feels like many of the movesets were inspired by Marvel Future Fight. ironman, wolverine, colossus, gambit, wasp, crystal, and cyclops were practically direct ripoffs, and iceman's giant version + jean grey's revive were clearly inspired by the MFF versions of the characters.
I tried playing without Phoenix after like a whole month, and kept wondering why I was running out of EP

My personal top two characters are Deadpool and Starlord. Deadpool can stagger enemies super easily with his heavy attack, his confetti bomb attack is awesome, and he has a healing ability. All of Starlord's attacks are awesome - they look great, offer a variety of different attack styles, and can synergize themselves.
I guess I pick almost all low tier people, my team is elsa bloodstone (you have to level her up) ghostrider, thor, and black panther

Dr Doom is another self Synergizing character since his robot mimics any ability you use after he is deployed so he can beam synergize with himself hella damage output

I unlock doom and never used synergies again. That doombot spam is so crazy i lost all motivation to get Phenix.
So my all-star squad up to this point has been Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Ghost Rider and Elsa Bloodstone. But after this, I'm thinking of replacing those last two with Captain America and Cyclops before I try Ultimate difficulty.
While different characters can be more or less useful for different content, my go-to for level grinding will always be Magneto.
Spam heavy-attack during any wave battle infinite node, and it gathers up your enemies, prevents them from basically doing anything, and allows your Comp Teammates to slaughter away with zero risk.
Yes the gravity bombs in this game are super effective! Especially Magneto’s since his don’t cost energy
@@alwaysnerdyretros I always found magneto to be my favorite character in all of marvel; however, I think that the ability attacks he has have a habit of being glitchy and not homing to well. That and I think his big attack with the two metal spheres is underwhelming. I never get the damage I'm looking for. That, and cable has a gravity device as well, so I typically roll with him. Any tips for a magneto build?
I have a soft spot for Luke cage. He's very durable and powerful, get his Brooklyn assault to full stats and its an instant stagger.

Any list that doesn't have Cap, DD, Iceman, and Phoenix as the top 4 characters in the game due to buffs/debuffs is mathematically incorrect.
Interesting to see whether the community cares more about playing their favorite characters compared to min/maxing though for sure
DD is my favorite character in all of Marvel, but he's pretty weak in MUA3 in my opinion. 2 of his skills are stationary and that is not goid at all in high level gauntlets, his stagger skill misses the second hit 75% of the time which is where the majority of the damage comes from and his debuff is only really useful against bosses, and pretty useless against mobs.
Buffs of other characters on the other hand increase the team's total output all the time they are active.
@@Robodob0 uh no. His debuff is the 2nd best source of increasing a team's damage output in the game, only behind Phoenix. DD provides a larger damage boost than Cap. It's why they're both in the strongest team possible.

Also in this game there's really no definite "strongest team." At least i think it shouldnt, coz in the game's current state, im happy that any team is viable even in high level gauntlets, even though some comps just have a significantly easier time.
@Ryan Stewart group buffing skills provide more to a group than any single character contributes. So yeah, mathematically. Although some has changed now. Phoenix is better than both, and Dr Doom is better than Cap. Top 4 now is Phoenix Thanos2 DD Doom
Mr. Fantastic makes Ms. Marvel OBSOLETE! Seriously, Reed’s “spin to win” is superior and almost broken with the right rapid fire synergy.

I tested the numbers and Ms. Marvel actually does way more damage/stagger with her spin. She does about 8000-9500 with every hit. Her spin does 1 hit per rotation to an enemy.
Mr. Fantastic has a faster and wider spin but his damage/stagger isn’t as good. His spin has 4-5 multi hits of 1500-2000 damage per hit. His stagger is also much less per hit.
The other issue is that he’ll randomly stop spinning sometimes even if you’re mashing, and his spin is interrupted by attacks more easily.
This means that Ms. Marvel has higher DPS and is a better boss killer since she will stun/stagger bosses faster and rack up critical damage numbers. But Mr. Fantastic is better for dealing with waves/trash mobs since his spin is faster and covers more ground.

how do I get the old school cap marvel costume please? is it from a rift or something? I don't mind the pixie cut version, but it's not the one I grew up with. (I used to rock the pixie one in marvel heroes on steam though, as it was a newer costume and it looked better. When you got her as a character in that game though, she actually came with both skins)
this makes me want to get a switch for ultimate alliance 3 as the first 2 are apart of my childhood.
This and the other video is more of a popularity poll than a character strength poll. The only thing accurate was Phoenix's placing. But it's not hard to see how good she is.

The team I ran for most of the game was: Spider-Man, Deadpool, Venom, and Daredevil
I think what "Ranked by Community" really means is the character popularity amongst the community. Some of these characters are absolute trash or belong on the lower end of the tier list if you go by the gameplay mechanics and efficiency that they actually offer. Characters like Deadpool, Blade and SpiderMan belong in the bottom 20 of such list yet the community ranks them in top 20 due to character popularity bias.
But I get it though, this is more of a casual game for casual players that just want to mash buttons and have fun with their favourite super heroes.
And casual players don't really worry about optimisation, their focus is on role playing as some of their personal favourites.
I like Magneto cus his heavy attack is incredible for gathering shit together.
My steam is Ms. MARVEL, HULK, Wolverine e Psylocke. With this team, there is no Stagger Bar or boss that can resist. To Have some fun, I have a second team with Punisher, Phenix, Gambit and Cable. The Punisher's sniper attack is very usefull if done synergized cause it does a good damage and travels the scenario, piercing enemyes and done damage until it reaches the end of the screen. He cold be very fun to play since the most of his atacks sends him back, putting Punisher safe of the range oenoany knockback.
Ngl I been playing everyone to max out the skill tree (I'm on the outer hexagons that, iirc, were added in the DLC) and with the right team any character can really dominate or at least feel that way with satisfying gameplay.
Phoenix is awosome but should be nice if they explore her Telepathy and Telekineses.
My Favorits was the ScarletWitch, SueStorm and the Thing!❤❤❤
I purchased this game a while ago but have yet to get round to playing it. I am planning on playing in the next few days, just a quick question, with the main story can you play as people like the Phoenix or any of the fantastic 4 characters during the main story if you have the dlc? Or do you have to complete the main game and dlc first before you can play as them?
So yes and no. Your first playthrough you could use the dlc characters towards the end. For example, you have to beat chapter 5 before you unlock the “rise of Phoenix” dlc where you unlock the dlc xmen.
However, there are about 2-3 more story difficulties after your first playthrough and you’ll be able to use anyone you’ve unlocked during those.

Rayn Lim I believe you can only unlock thanos by beating his infinity rift challenge. To get Phoenix, you would have to buy the dlc :(

The team I use is Deadpool miles Ghost Rider and the last party member is one that I just switch out a lot so I technically have like three permanent members and one slot that I use for a random character
I think they should add like a war mode or something where you can pick 2 teams of 4 and play something like the final battles of New York.. Ultron... Endgame Thanos fight.. Wakanda battle... Assemble a legit Avengers team or full X Men squad and play on a huge battlefield... Maybe have a button to switch between the 2 teams idk.. Just think it would be really cool and epic battles.. What u guys think? Def not gunna happen but whatever

So just got mua 3 a couple days ago and noticed that my Deadpool was lvl 21 compared to everyone ends being lvl 6 had to use him in a team with hulk wolverine and Thor seems to be working well thus far.
My team is usually Wolverine, Thor, Doctor Doom and Hulk, is that diverse or lacking in a certain area not too sure tbh
I don’t see any problems with that team. As long as you feel like you’re able to get ample synergy out of them all.
