My biggest brand disappointment was NARS because I adored their concealers and some other random products. But at least they were honest and upfront! It rubs salt in the wound that PF and WnW were so secretive about their selling in China.
kateliness2 yup. I might not agree with NARS but at least I can still trust them to be a lesser of the evils.
I agree, about NARS they announced that they were selling in China, and they also announced that they were unaware of how much they meant to the cruelty free community (which I will take with a grain of salt) but I do respect that they didn’t try to be sly about selling in China
Maybe do a cruelty free dupe video for PF? I feel like doing a dedicated video like that would be able to raise awareness. I wouldn't have known this unless I watched your video about a collection declutter, not knowing that you were going to talk about PF (besides the thumbnail)
Love this idea! I use a lot of pf and once i finish the products ill be purchasing something else that’s cruelty free. I need dupes for the butter bronzer, shimmer brick, and butter blush
Agreed! Their healthy foundation was a holy grail for me! (I have super sensitive oily skin that breaks out from everything) Regardless of the quality of their products, I can no longer support them. Tragic.
the worst thing is these companies can sell through e commerce or hongkong but they choose to have in store.
So sad with PF not being cruelty free anymore but I never lose hope that other brands will choose to be cruelty free including WNW and PF
Really unfortunate to see companies going backwards. Covergirl was such a good change but then we have Nars, WnW, and PF who chose profit over the wellbeing of animals. So messed up.
It is so sad about Physicians formula. I do have some products from them. I will use up and not repurchase until they become cruelty free again.

arrrgh physicians formula just got in india. thank god i didn't buy anything. before i used to think that brands testing was too restricting but now after wet n wild started testing i have realised i honestly dont need so much makeup i dont use too much either so ill stick to ethical companies
You have been such an inspiration to me over the past year. Last year when I started my inventory I had some ridiculous amount of makeup for my needs. I’m down at least a 100 items. At the start of 2020, I had 77 ( I count eyeshadow pans not palettes). Now I’m down to 43 items; my goal is 36. Thanks again!

BehindTheVanity Thanks much! I’m doing the same for body, face, and hair products and also working on daily declutter for day of the month(3/14, get rid of 14 things today). I’m slowing working towards minimalism. It’s amazing what you have when you starting counting your possessions.

I just decluttered A LOT and it felt so good. I didn't count, but I probably got rid of 20-30 things I was holding on to as "backups" or "maybe I'll need this random thing" and a bunch of them were so old and expired. 💪❤️👍
I get that a lot of youtubers and others buy cruelty free products - it`s really good. But i hope more people soon will open their eyes and see the cruelty behind the mica mining in Asia. Poor children risking their lives so that we can have sparkle and shine on our eyes and cheeks. I would love if you did some reseach on the topic and made a video on it. You make so great content and i feel this is something you would care about ❤️
I’m not discounting the horrendous situation at all, but I do want to point that these children wouldn’t be doing this if it weren't their best option. We have to keep this in mind before taking actions. For a lot of kids this is how they make their family an income, and it’s change that needs to happen at a higher level. By taking away these jobs, they’d have to turn to something worse or have no more options.

OMG WHAT!!!! Physicians formula no longer cruelty free!!!! ... this makes me angry!!!! I loved their products and their healthy foundation is one of my favourites and love the butter bronzer which I already finished and planning on buying another after my no buy was over! That ain’t going to happen!! I’m so sad and angry at the same time!! 😖😞😘

For once I'm kind of glad I never got to try PF's products because they're not available in Europe, but after watching youtube for so many years you do get kind of attached to brands in a weird way and I was planning on buying the Butter bronzer online one day :( I guess it's clear that brands from this parent company (like LORAC) can't be trusted... (they still proudly say WnW is cruelty-free on their website...). Btw if anyone is watching Kelly mainly because she's cruelty-free and you don't follow Logical Harmony you're missing out on major info !

I did a declutter last week which felt great! I have a friend who knows people who are happy to have these items. He took a picture of one of the recipients so that I know that my decluttered items are finding a good home. It's disappointing that Physician's Formula did the same thing as Wet n Wild. I’ve really been in to declutter videos these days. I am doing what I can to avoid shopping. I almost purchased the vault from Urban Decay because it had the OG original eyeshadow palette in it that was discontinued. It is $195. Luckily, it was sold out. I don’t even think the quality is that great. I have lost my ever loving mind.
I was just about to buy their butter bronzer too. I'm glad I watched this video first. So sad about Physicians Formula.

Yeah I'm super bummed about Wet n Wild. :( I own two products from them that I will be using just to not be wasteful, just like you said. I don't own anything from Physician's Formula, but they were a brand I was interested in. Hopefully more brands move over to the cruelty free and vegan side!

Sadness. ): I've had a couple of PF's murumuru butter blushes for a bit now (Rosy Pink and Plum Rose are so pretty!~) and love them to pieces... I guess I'll be looking for color and maybe formula dupes while I use them up. Fwehhhh... It's the WnW "In The Flesh" color problem aaaaall over again! D:

I only have a couple of liquid glitter eyeshadows. Stila I think. I just dont like how they go onto the eyes. They can be hard to work with.

I ended up sending my order back because of that. I loved the Healthy Foundation and heard they were discontinuing it. So I bought three bottles, a mascara and a lip product. But once I found out, I sent it all back. They didn’t refund me (2 days outside of the return window) which kinda sucks but I included a note in there why I was returning my products.

I felt the same way about the elf camo 16 hr concealer! Too dry on my eyes and when my eyes would water the product just removed. I picked up the their new version but still have to try it!
My fav concealers are Maybeline master concealer in the squeeze tube (i realized its a dup for mac prol ongwear) and maybelline fit me. These conecalers never fail me.
also tried that new covergirl one with the black and white stripe lid. Its also too drying and ends up looking cakey on me and i dont even use that much. It separated on my skin. I tried to like it because everyone else loves it but i realized i dont.

i’m so sad 😭 physicians formula was my favorite drugstore brand 😢
I was already mad at Physician's Formula for discontinuing my favorite Healthy Wear foundation that hadn't even been out that long (and everyone seemed to love) and they were coming out with rose scented (yuck) stuff and skincare with irritating ingredients like essential oils. So I'm kinda not mad that they are off my buy list, but they did have my favorite mascara (Killer Curves) and the butter bronzers and blushes are exceptional. So they just kind of po'ed me in long string of nonsense. I also tried to leave reviews of the last things I bought off their website, and I mentioned I couldn't use the products anymore because they are no longer cruelty free and they denied my reviews. So whatever shady parent company they have obviously has influenced the brands in a bad way, making them shady brands themselves. Of course Covergirl discontinued a very popular foundation in the place of one that has terrible reviews and is causing allergic reactions. Glad they went cf, but I'm wondering what to even try from them. I haven't used them since I was a teen (when all their products smelled like a pharmacy). I have no clue where to start with them. lol

Testing on animals is required by law in China. They have two types of testing. Pre marketing testing, that you can avoid by having the products made in China. Than they have post marketing testing, which means that at any time they can pull the products of the shelfs And test it on animals.

I'm not cruelty free but I dont understand why physicians formula would do this after the backlash that wet and wild received. I dont shop from either brand regardless.
Please don't give your concealers and other things that can't be sanitized to other people. You could be carrying COVID-19 and not know it. It's better to throw those sorts of things away than to pass them on to someone else. 💙
I have already said good bye to wet and wild and now will to physicians formula 😫 good riddance....too many cruelty free companies out there to support instead.
The biggest source of cruelty towards animals is from agriculture. Make the world less cruel by reducing/eliminating animal products from your diet. 💚
As I understand it, PF is only subject to postmarket animal testing in China. The USFDA has the exact same policy so by this logic, every brand that sells in the United States is also not cruelty free.
The FDA does not have an animal testing policy post market. That is a lie.
Natalie Killian According to the FDA website the onus is on each company to ensure products are safe for the public. However they don’t mention post market testing at all. So either they don’t have one or it’s not made public. 🤷♀️
Per the law it has to be public. They don't have one because the FDA doesn't test products itself like that. The FDA has the companies itself test products and submit their data, that's how it works.
