The expiration thing is why I'm not switching to liquid or cream everything. I never use it fast enough, and I have plenty of powder blushes, highlighters, eyeshadows, etc. that last longer.
Creams can last far longer than the printed "expiration" date which is only a guide and a way to perpetuate you spending money again. You can revive them with Inglot Duraline
@@violetviolet888they can last longer for sure but after a few years they can start to go off, not just by drying out but by developing a smell, smelling like crayons or smelling off, etc
I don't own any face palettes. I'll take a Duo of blush and highlighter but I'm very limited in my space and face palettes are too big to fit in my drawer
Limiting myself to a color pallet was the best makeup decision I ever made. Find your color season only buy and keep what suits your individual coloring best.
I know you're decluttering the blushes due to the color, but with more pigmented formulas you can mix them with your foundation or concealer which helps dilute the color and make it easier to use
Being a beauty blogger here in Canada, I use colored stickers that I apply to each item. Each color has its month. So I know when the product has been opened.
Girl you are so right about picking out a different blush color or different clothes color I do that all the time and think I should definitely get this because I don't have it but then I get it and I never wear it or use that color for makeup at all it's so silly how we do that You're right we need to change that mentality! You're my favorite UA-camr by the way You're very inspiring beautiful and I wish the best for you❤
Please try the Profusion blush again but pick Rose which is a natural looking light pink and try Bellini which is a light neutral peachy shade . They blend out beautifully with a small blush brush just don't dot in on then leave it, blend it out so it goes on evenly and doesn't dry first. It is such a nice formula if you have the right color, otherwise it is overwhelming no matter how little you use.
Hi kelly💓😻 great video! I always hope for a glimpse of your cat😄😻 I must confess I don’t buy cream eyeshadows anymore because of the same reasons…also started to multitask my lipsticks as cream blusher and it looks really good, better then I thought😅 That way I actually have the chance to use them up❤
It's good to know your makeup usage habits. I also rarely reach for face palettes. I mostly like face palettes for travel, but I don't travel enough to justify having one just for that. I also learned that I will never ever ever reach for loose powder eyeshadows. Ever. I find them fussy and time-consuming; I decluttered all of mine (didn't even have that many). Loose powder blush or bronzer - sure, love 'em! But not shadow, so never again need to spend money on that.
Only use face palettes when traveling, but they need to be compact. Love the Smashbox Cali Contour because I can use the darker highlight on my eyes as well.
For a red blush, I'm really loving Terra by Benefit. It's a deeper brick red and so lovely. I'm fair, and I really enjoy it over the CoverGirl Instant Cheekbones in Sophicated Sable (which I think you would love!l
I am the same way with multi-colored yarn. I need to buy more solid colors as I don't wear my multicolored yarn a lot, but I still buy it because it's pretty. But also explains why I haven't bought any pretty roving yarn for when I am spinning but also mainly buy the solids/natural colors of the sheep wool.
Oh, I loooove those Becca Light Gleams! I still have 3 and use them frequently. So quick to use and I am definitely in my quick 1 shadow look era. Mine are probably very old too, but I still love them. Great video Kelly!
I no what u mean about highlight quads I had a huda beuty palate and I always go to a singular one as when u grab ur makeup bag u might grab a eye shadow palate but to grab both is effort n ur gonna decide ur eyeshadow straight away as high light is very similar
I own the Tarte blush holiday palette from this past year and I love it. Also I only have like 3 blushes before I got it or I would probably feel the same way
I watched your vlog where you decluttered some highlighters and one that you mentioned that i do wear is the flower beauty highlight glaze & one from a Moira face palette.
I actually like face palettes. I find them more convenient to use instead of juggling three or four face and cheek compacts. I rarely get and use warm toned makeup, especially eye shadow. I prefer neutral and cool tones on my face amd jewel tones on my eyes.
I just decluttered a loose glitter from Nyx also. 😂 Same with any multi use or bigger palettes of any kind. I just dont reach for them. My friends love me for it tho! 🎉🎉
I don't own any face palettes yet, but I think I will get one around black Friday/cyber monday. By then I will have used up a blush and highlighter, plus hopefully I'll have hit pan on the only bronzer I own. I have realized that it would be a helpful tool for me when I go out of town, which happens frequently enough, and I need a streamlined, quick way to reach for colored face products. So I'm enjoying the process of looking around and knowing whatever I end up getting will have been especially well considered.
I find having a face palette that has bronzer, blush, and highlight in it is helpful definitely for travel. I had the smashbox cali contour palette for years and loved it. Its the ones that are all bronzer or all highlighter that I personally never get use out of! Good luck on your face palette hunt!
I think I own one face palette that was a gift. I have several bronzers (and contour that I use as bronzer,) and blush and highlighters but most days I just reach for the the same ones. I'm pale and cool-toned, so I already know going in that most bronzers do not work for me and I have to be super picky.
Its so funny cuz I never use face palettes either I prefer singles but when it comes to eyeshadow it's the opposite! The only singles I like are creams or glitters, stuff like that but I prefer an actual palette for regular eyeshadow. I just put 3 Mac eyeshadow singles in a palette to see if I'll use them more!
I used buy palettes that were different from the rest of my collection. It was like I was trying to round out my collection. The problem is that I am not a storefront. Do I need to have every shade? I have since moved away from that line of thinking.
Ehi Kelly i know you're not the target for the brand, but have you ever tried Shea Moisture? Like their more "general" lines, like the coconut virgin oil Eould you consider making a review?
Yeah, face palettes aren’t for me either. I personally like to have a bit of variety and rather have 4 different shades/formulas in a compact from different brands than a palette from one brand.
People think I'm nuts when I say I'm sniffing my palettes lol but I'm glad I did my huda mercury retrograde palette smells like crayons or playdough or something time to go
I don’t understand why I don’t reach for face palettes. I *think* it’s bc I don’t ever use them in their entirety- like I love the bronzer, for example, but the blush doesn’t go with a particular look. Idk but I get in my own nerves by not using them 😂

@@4booky831 I know, but the problem is people landfill them after 6 months when they can last 5 years.
I don't own any face palettes. I'll take a Duo of blush and highlighter but I'm very limited in my space and face palettes are too big to fit in my drawer
Me too!! I agree that a duo can be nice though
I won’t get face pallets or large eyeshadow pallets for that same reason
@wplants9793 I live in 500 sq ft with my Neapolitan mastiff so theirs barely room for anything 🤣
I wish more cream products came in minis. I never buy cream products because I know it’ll expire faster and I’ll realistically not use it up by then.
I wish that too!
I love when brands have tiny cream products. I've been ordering weird colors from shop shopmissa lately and it's been fun!

I always pick 4 face palettes out of my collection and use them every second day. Then I rotate with other face palettes. I love that system :)

I’ve also been decluttering my makeup and I’m loving your curly hair! Spring/summer vibes for sure!
Thank you!
Kelly has the best hair💛
Ive been inspired by you to be more mindful of my collection! Thanks Kelly. Also, I loveee the flowers in the back. What a beautiful colour of orange!
She’s embracing her gorgeous Autumn coloring!!! 😉

The only face palette that I keep reaching for is my Hourglass one from 2019
I don’t use face palettes that often either. I have 1 versatile cream palette and I only use it when I’m really layering my makeup to last.
Omg I love that red Profusion blush and I’m more fair than you 😂❤ it’s soooo beautiful

How did Tilly like her birthday gift? 🎉 🐈 Also great video as always!!

I'm with you- I want to love all these viral color stories and they look like crap on me- or I spend all my time trying to make it work!
I'm the same. I don't use face palettes. I have a ton of single products. completely opposite with eyeshadow though.
I don't own any face palettes yet, but I think I will get one around black Friday/cyber monday. All these things make complete sense to declutter. I try to avoid cream products just because they go off so much quicker.
Good morning Kelly

I love a good declutter!

omg me too!! the other day I was using that palette and it was smelling sus 😭😭
I've heard that huda palettes in general go off quite quickly compared to other formulas! I'm happily uninterested in the brand lol
You look great, Kelly!
Hi Kelly!
I don't like creme formulas. I have a few in stick form but hardly ever use them.
I don’t understand why I don’t reach for face palettes. I *think* it’s bc I don’t ever use them in their entirety- like I love the bronzer, for example, but the blush doesn’t go with a particular look. Idk but I get in my own nerves by not using them 😂
what is your eyeshadow?!
The description says it’s the Hourglass Scattered Light in Smoke
