I'm in the middle of doing a makeup inventory. Its a HUGE wake up call to how much I've bought in the last 2 years. A declutter of my own needs to happen soon. Thanks for the inspo.
Angela Pennington I’m in the same boat. My collection has gotten so big in the last two years too. I kinda do a shop my stash every couple weeks to rotate certain products. Definitely going to try and do a NO BUY 2020 unless it’s a foundation I run out of or certain products I don’t have backups of. My vice is eyeshadows , blush and bronzers. I have more than enough. I have at least been playing with brighter colors instead of my usual basic looks. I need a cheaper hobby! Lol.
Angela Pennington I just did an inventory and it was SO shocking to see just how much I really have. I counted EVERYTHING, from eyeliner to nail polish to hand cream to dry shampoo. I even counted sample packets as their own item. And I came in at an astounding 897 items. No joke. Like, I had 60+ nail polishes! 30+ blushes! How is that possible?! I’m now very determined to be on a no-buy for 2020 and I’ll be tracking my inventory every month to count how much I’ve used up. Time to be accountable and stop buying a lipgloss here and hair mask there and USE what I already have!

its nice to see the similarities and differences between our makeup tastes.
like i only exclusively do one shadow looks and i do creme shadows most often (a lot of times my lipsticks).
also i really like mid tone lispticks and absolutely never wear nudes lol.
This week I decluttered all my makeup I didn't reach for.
I left a few products I'm not sure about. I was inspired by your and other youtubers' videos. ❤
Now everything seems organised and fresh(?) and I love it. And with all the newfound space I can buy new things without feeling guilty 😎🎉

I’m still keeping up with my makeup inventory that I started with your inspiration. I’ve taken it 1 step farther recently and now along with a running total, I record all my purchases and declutters. It’s amazing how everything adds up even if you only have a few products in each category.

The bite beauty birthday lipstick was 2018. All my lipstick are neutral; light pink and peach neutrals. The bite lipstick is a bold lipstick for me with its mauve color. I did wear it a lot this fall.
you inspired me to use a lot of my makeup since i have a ridiculously large makeup collection, like on a big youtuber level since my mother owns a cosmetics store but the makeup i dont use i give away to my cousins and friends :)
I'm doing a declutter tonight of 4 eyeshadows and probably a couple lipsticks that while I loved them when I got them, I no longer reach for them and dread looking at them knowing that they're going to just sit and go bad. I could force myself to use them but my makeup tastes have changed so much in the past 2 years.

I declutter about three monthly , only to check on expired products . Weekly brushes are deep cleaned sponges and skin care brushes are washed daily ! I own half Estée Lauder half Charlotte tilbury a few Marc Jacobs a few Chanel a few YSL , skin care I have used for a long time is liz earl cleanse and polish , tonic , the rest of my skin care is all Estée Lauder .
I just ordered Beverly Hills highlighter this week and All The Lights. Because I thought it would be better than having so many highlighters and highlighter palettes. I wanted to declutter my single highlighters lol

I really enjoy these types of videos, and the rationale behind decluttering certain items, because they help me make the same decisions. I have bought a bunch of new things and tbh, am hanging on to old stuff I've not used in a very long time. I'm not concerned about "spoiled" makeup but that can also be a consideration. It's helping me tame the Black Friday beauty beast within to NOT purchase more of things I already have!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours :)

It’s funny because I know a lot of people keep products because they think they will wear something but then they don’t. (I.E. fantasy self). Me, I don’t really do this, instead I really only keep colors that I love, but my collection is just a handful of colors. From the outside someone would look and say why do you own 10 of the same exact colors? But I see the differences... (of course I could probably declutter some of them...).

Kelly,you are amazing with both fair and dark hair. Some time ago you said that dark hair is temporarily,but you have it for a long time (or it just seems to me so). So , my question is-you've dyed you hair again?
I actually haven’t! It has just lasted longer than I expected!
I did that yesterday and I found a packet of unicorn hair and it turned my hair pink reddish I hated it, then i bought box dye to fix it lol now my hair is black 😜
