    I have 2009 Outlander V6 XLS with 226k miles. Only replaced batt and tires, it's been reliable so far. I think it will easily reach 300k with proper maintenance. Go Mitsu!

      I just recently changed my 2009 for a used 2019, road noise is better torque vectoring too, they even reduced the weight and the size of the engine I think its the golden era. These 2022 are built on mitsubishi lines but they got parts from nissan so it's not a pure blood :(

      Back in 2004, I bought a 2004 Outlander XL. I drove it for 15 years and sold it only because I got bored with it. I put 275,000 mile on it and the only corrective maintenance issue I had was a leaky radiator at around 110,000 miles. It cost me $120 bucks to fix.
      It is mainly for this solid reason, that a few days ago I got myself the 2022 Outlander SEL. I got out of a 2020 Volvo XC90 Inscription, and into this Outlander - same level of luxury, and this is no exaggeration.
      I am loving my 2022 Outlander, to say the least.

    I’ve seen a couple around our town and let me tell you they have some imposing feeling when looked on the road ! What I like about it is its “truck” kind of look ! It’s got a good road clearance, good high seating position, nice looks and apparently an excellent gas mileage…. Hoping they have some in the upcoming autoshow, so I can sit on it … let’s see!

    Great video as always. Mitsubishi is one of those brands where people buy them because of the price and reliability. They aren't the fastest, they aren't the most the most refined, but they are reliable as hell, easy to work on, and easy on the pocket book. Personally the RVR is the perfect vehicle for Canada. AWC, heated seats, enough ground clearance to go over snow. Throw some good winter tires on and the little rig is literally unstoppable in the winter.

  • @pryme2013
    @pryme2013 3 роки тому +20

    Heres the thing with Mitsubishi: they actually make reliable vehicles but their dealer network is very sparse and even if youre close to one, will it stick around? also, they almost never have parts avail at the dealership let alone your local auto parts stores. I speak from experiance as I owned 2 Mirages.

    • @ColJonSquall1
      @ColJonSquall1 3 роки тому +1

      I can also vouch to this, have a 2008 Outlander, (in the age before the CVT had truly taken over), and getting some of the parts is a challenge. Though the wiper assembly issue was taken care of due to the recall on them and it only took about an hour to change out. So some parts are stocked, just not as many as one would like.

    • @Thankyou_3
      @Thankyou_3 3 роки тому +2

      Get a Toyota you don’t need to get parts. 😂 just basic maintenance…Mitsubishi fall apart so I can see the issue about finding parts not easy since their infrastructure is practically non existence. Under their skin, they are owned by Chrysler.

    Would I buy a Mitsubishi? Probably not. But a good part of my reasoning is the dearth of Mitsubishi dealerships in my neck of the woods. Odd thinking , your vehicle especially a brand new doesn’t require much service. Standard oil changes at 5-7000 miles can be done at any car mechanic shop.
      Larger maintenance at 20k+ miles can be setup and done once a year+ if that

    The Rogue is rated to pull only 1,000 pounds max, if I recall correctly. I don’t recall you mentioning the tow rating of this new Outlander, but since it shares the Rogue powertrain, it can’t be much different. That pretty much rules it out for me.

    I had a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander for 12 years. The car is great and reliable. However, the spare parts are very expensive. $600 (excluding labour) to replace the muffler and $1800 (including labour) to replace the air conditioner compressor. Both had to be replaced between 225k km and 250k km. I sold the vehicle when I realized how expensive parts were compared to other vehicles.

  • @hassannaji3471
    @hassannaji3471 3 роки тому +1

    Due to car shortage in all dealerships, Mistubishi is not an exception and you should wait 3 months to get your Outlander.
    For 48 months lease and 20,000 KM annually it cost you $639 month including lease protection.
    With this price I would prefer to spend $120 more and get Genesis GV70 instead of Outlander GT-P

    Its a beautiful looking vehicle and if i Didnt have tow id ditch my truck and get this rather than the new rav4 and that says something. I do like the new world engine in todays rav4 and tranny but this new mitsubishi has style and looks more upscale.

    42K???? For a Mitsubishi???
    Just buy a RAV4 it will outlast by multiple times and still be able to sell after 15 years like a hot cake. Toyotas are super reliable unlike Mitsubishi, Honda and Nissan.

      Do you have evidence to back that up? Mitsubishi are known to be a reliable brand also, I think Toyota is generally overrated.

      @@joelcolgate3683 if Toyota is overrated then Mitsubishi is definitely overrated and overpriced. Mitsubishi use to have 10 year warranty and even with that they couldn’t get any traction with sales. It is generally poorly engineered and very fast driving car. They an equivalent to a Mazda what it was a decade but Mazda have turned the corner and building solid vehicles. Mitsubishi needs to focus on small cars first then need to be competitive second and only then they can even compete with RAV4. The RAV4 sales figures are high and it is found on the road running even after 2 decades. I still see the 1st generation RAV4 on the road. Solidly built.

      Resale on the RAV4 near the top of any vehicle sold in the US. Mitsubishi is near the bottom. Not sure if that is different in Canada.

      @@scottperson9487 It is worst in Canada, the quality is poor and it is sad to see AJAC rates them higher than RAV4 in Canada. Really believing that the general public are not falling for the deceiving of AJAC.

    • @Thankyou_3
      @Thankyou_3 3 роки тому +2

      AJAC is Canada are bunch of crooks, they are getting huge kickbacks from manufacturers because Toyota RAV4 is not on the top three rating yet they are the most reliable out of crappy Hyundai, Honda and Jeep. Hondas have oil dilution issues with burning oil, Hyundai are often burning engines and transmissions and Jeep is all marketing hype with cult followers absolutely a junk quality. Not one major issue with Toyota RAV4 and AJAC in Canada is not even recommending them. 🤦‍♀️ Crooks!
