Lorenzo's artifact gun is actually a gamma gun MOD, You can take it off the gun it comes on and save it for a legendary gamma gun to give it the artifact effect on top of whatever legendary effect it already has

the cryolator uses extreme temperatures to shut down a victim's organs. this phenomenon is known as Absolute Zero. the only problem is, such cold temperatures cannot be easily contained, so firing a weapon like the cryolator in real life, just might freeze you.
The saucer comes into play starting at level 20 -- the first time you are outside after level 20 (closed cities like Diamond City and Goodneighbor will block it from occuring or if you are VERY close to Oberland Station. ) The weird thing about this is no matter where you are the ship goes over your head, but the trench is always dug from the same direction. If you have companions with you they will comment on the thing, which can be amusing...

Um, the gauss rifle is a Ballistic weapon, not an Energy weapon. It looks all energized but it's a railgun, shooting a shard of metal at super speeds.

Ghost 1566 lmao u dont really need to be a nerd tho. If u can actually see, next to it's dmg, it shows a target symbol, meaning it does ballistic dmg. If it showed a lightning bolt, it would've done energy dmg.
to be fair the gauss rifle was listed as an energy weapon in previous fallout games so it makes sense you make that mistake.

Regarding the Cryolator. As soon as you get Dogmeat. go back to vault 111, go to the room with the Cryolator and tell Dogmeat to fetch you an item. he will then go and get you the cryolator so you don't need lockpick at all. Trade with Dogmeat to get the ammo for the cryolator

To get Lorenzos artifact, don't think you have to kill Lorenzo at the asylum. If you free him and go back to the cabot house, he will be there and try to kill everyone including you. Once you kill him, Jack Cabot tells you to come back in a week while he studies the artifact.

Just a note: the limitless potential (13 minutes in) may have random attachments on it. Mine had an automatic barrel and full stock
Tip: you will get the alien ship encounter around level 20
Zeta gun is unique gamma gun (gamma gun with Zeta Wave barrel attachment), that shoots a red ball of energy. People crap on it, but it shoots a ball of electrical type damage with an explosive effect. I find that it is good to use against robots.

Captain Kells doesn't need to give you the Lost Patrol quest. You can simply tune to a distress call and find one of the bodies. Then the game will give you the quest.

might be a big necro here but i found you can get the "lost patrol" quest long before the prydwin even gets there just keep doing stuff for danse and the cambridge police office and it will pop up a long time before the prydwin comes around

I waited until I had Reginald's suit to go see Paladin Brandis, which along with some grape mentats pretty much guaranteed success in the persuasion check.
i found a legendary mutant and a legendary rabid mongral! its good weapons i got from them ! thanks for this it helped me find legendary ones!
I just got a random unlimited lazer rifle by doing Nick's quest.
There is another way to get the cryolator. Play the game until you get Dogmeat, then take him to Vault 111 and tell him to fetch stuff. He will get the weapon out of the case, but you must trade with him to get the ammunition for the cryolator.
one thing that is very interesting is that lorenzo's artifact gun isn't labeled as a legendary weapon... but, like other legendary weapons, you are forbidden from scrapping it. so, does that make it a key item for something? is it in fact a key?

I've done that quest from Cpt. Kells and never knew that was a unique weapon....
For alien blaster, requirements: player lvl 20, outside, and be a fair distance away from oberland station.
If all conditions are met, the ship should crash near oberland and your companion will comment about it.
I had fun with Lorenzo's gun modifying it with the Electric Signal Carrier Antennae. The effect kind of reminded me of the sonic version of the Captain Cosmos gun...

you can actually have dogmeat to pull it through the case at the starting level for you and he even gets the ammo too

You can actually obtain the Cryolator within the first ten minutes of escaping vault 111 by bringing Dogmeat to the location and having him search for it
It's been patched when you go down with dogmeat he's not there when you get down

You can use Dogmeat to unlock the Cryolator you don't need to pick the lock just stand near it and tell Dogmeat to look for good stuff and he will magically free it from it's locked case :D

You turn it in with Kells. And you'll get from him if you skip meeting Danse at Cambridge. Prydwin otherwise arrive at lvl 30 or after dealing with Kellogg at Fort Hagen.
You can get the cryolater at the very start of the game, all you need is dog meat. You take dog meat into the vault, set hime to go next to the cryolater and tell him to search for Items, he will get the gun and if you trade with him you'll get the ammo, this can be done at level 1.
Danse can also give you the quest "Lost Patrol" if you find the Cambridge Police Station really early on
10:00 ish- OR, or you could just do a glitch to "sneak" (more like phase) into the B.O.S Armory and rob them with a Stealth Boy or 2 if smart.

I believe that the quest needed for the Survivors Special can be acquired just by going to the ruined house with ruined power armor frames and dead BoS soldiers.
20:12 actually all you need is dogmeat to fetch the weapon so you don't actually need to pick the lock :)
the last minute is a projectile weapon. it fires 2mm projectiles that use electromagnetic magnets as the propellant.

Now for people who don't know you do not need to go into the vault just get to level 20, when you do go to red rocket truck stop by sanctuary
If anyone wants the Cryolator but doesn't have Master lockpicking, just bring Dogmeat and ask him if he can find any good items, and he will just remove it from the case without you needing to open it.

To my experience, the alien ship crashes as soon as you hit 20 and are in a general location. It won't appear while in Diamond ity, Goodneighbor, or indoors. Frequently I found it appear as soon as I fast traveled first time after hitting level 20.
The lost patrol quest can be given to you before the prydwen arrives, but you must join the brotherhood of steel to get it.

He is the only minuteman who wore power armor
That's why you can see that minuteman outfit. Hope that solves your problems

Hey I don't know how many people know this but you can actually get the cryolator just when you meet dogmeat it's simple once you meet just go back to vault 111 then go where the cryolator and ask dogmeat to find an item he'll them get the cryolator sadly no animation for but once you get it you can get ammo for it when you click on dogmeat and trade with him he'll have 200 cry cells in him pick those up and you get a free powerful weapon at the start of your journey

For the Alien Blaster Pistol your companion will say something if in the diamond city area, as for me it was by Valentine when I left the Train Station Vault
When you were talking about the Righteous Authority there was a weapon called a Junk Jet that was in the same quest as the Righteous Authority

You don't have to kill Paladin Brandis, you can also pickpocket him and take the rifle.

You don’t need master lock-picking to get the cryolator, just go down there with dogmeat, stand about 5 feet away then tell him to go find an item, the weapon and ammo will be in his inventory, dogmeat Literally just grabs it out of the case😂
with the cryolator if you don't have master lock-pick you can tell dogmeat to "fetch" near it and he will grab it out of the case
I don't think people understand the true power of lorenzos artifact gun. Its a semi automatic gun that does as much damage as a frag grenade (with equal blast radius), and staggers enemies, with a chance of sending them flying. i have taken down mire lurk queens on legendary with a few clips. The only downsides are ammo and close range, and cover combat.

If possible with any legendary enemy wait till they have drawn there weapon then when they dead get your companion to pick up the weapon as u hover over the body for resorces after your companion picks up weapon u will see its still in inventory of enemy take all the resorces and u will now have 2 of yhat legendary weapon etc .. this works for the alien 2 plus u will get extra ammo from your companion picking this up 2 .. gl 😊
You can also get that very last weapon another way by making your dog search then it will glitch and he will grab it through the case and give it to you
You CAN get the cryolator very early, you van use dogmeat and tell him to get it then he will go pick it up and you'll have it without master lockpicking

Good intentions is dropped from his body on the ground not in his inventory so be careful not to blow Clint up I killed him and saved on accident thinking it was on his corpse but he was hit by a mini nuke and it took me FOREVER to find it I actually gave up on it and was running away when I heard the sound of tripping over a gun and found it. That's probably one of the best grinding areas in the game there is like 20 gunners on a triple stacked overpass.

While this was a very awesome video and very laid out and extremely informative. I've found the best all round weapon of choice. Fully modded with all the right perks. Is the Overseers Guardian. A combat rifle with a specialty of firing two extra rounds per shot. At 126 damage X3 = 378 damage per pull of the trigger. I can kill any enemy with one vats shot. With a total of 3 vats shots per use. It's devistating. And with rapid auto fire. Just holding the trigger turns it into a lethal buzz saw..... Everyone should try it. It makes Fallout 4 Child's Play..... :)

I've played this game many times and not once has Paladin Brandis ever given me Survivor's Special, even though I pass the speech check.
A thing that really doesn't make sense, Alien Blaster Rounds are only 1 cap, and they're limited, but 2mm Electromagnetic Charges are 5 caps, but they're unlimited. WTF Bethesda?!?!?
I haven't had Good Intentions drop for me....bugged? Mind Maxson's didn't either, just got his battlecoat :-( You can also buy The Last Minute from a Tier 4 merchant.
I want to do a Nuka Girl build next play-through, so lots of science and robots, but I don't want to stick with just using a laser gun, so may go Plasma too.
