Through the decades, lifeguard uniforms have changed just as their jobs and equipment have. The new uniform items not only help improve the lifeguard’s performance, but also allows the female lifeguard's to feel comfortable while wearing them.

The water shirt or rashie in Australia. Is tight and does not create drag. I’m a surf lifesaver with the Surfers’s paradise SLSC and our rash shirts are like tight.
Same as the competition ones.
