Another great haul this week! I’m definitely looking forward to the 380 hydra shock deep. Looks like you’ll be doing all kinds of testing. Actually I’m eager for the videos on any of those. We appreciate everything you do. 👍🇺🇸
Thank you sir. Should be some good stuff!
You said it- can't have too much 9 or 22! Feel the same way.
Absolutely!
Pretty good haul and prices. Especially on that 45 and 10mm underwood. I think we all miss those lil baby boxes of armscor 22lr when it was $1.99 lol. I probably picked up 150 boxes at the beginning of 2020 when I saw everything starting. Along with several "bucket o bullets" from wally world when they were $62 for 22 and like $80 for 9mm. I've shot a lil pile just to make sure they run but mostly stashed the buckets. I got a nice score from my buddy's gun and pawn shop other day. He got a good trade for a case of Federal American eagle 38special and let me get them for what broke down to $20 per box of 50. They're just fmj but you know that's what you practice with and that's a great deal for regular times must less nowadays. Lol. I turn them on to deals whenever I can and they do the same for me so like you know and say, never overlook small local shops and also make friends with them. You make good friends with them and get to check the list for stuff being released for the day and tips on what you want and looking for like certain guns and ammo and even deals on tools and gear. Also for folks that stack silver and gold, check them too. Scrap silver and junk 90% coins are usually saved in the back and sold to melt down. If you buddy's you may can buy it for spot. I love local gin and pawn shops. I prefer older guns and good quality wood furniture and that's the only places you'll find a good deal. Too much competition and eyes online. Plus shopping local mom and pops are better anyway. RK is not as bad as big box and I shop there too tho. Appreciate the videos 🐍🇺🇸
Thank you sir. You're exactly right about building relationships with folks at the stores. That's something a lot of people don't take time to do.👍
Tool's, I have been testing a lot of different 22 rounds the last few weeks, those Armscor are EXCELLENT, those and the Norma tac-22 fired 100 rounds each through my ruger sr22 3.5 inch pistol with ZERO failures. I used to think CCI was worth the money but the Norma and those Armscor ran circles around the them. Thank you for another excellent video.
Thank you sir.
Those 150gr UW 10mm are Noslers. XTPs come in 155gr. Expect the Noslers to break up and deform a little more than the XTPs at ludicrous speed.
And UW XPs/XDs seem to have a little more hot sauce than Honey Badgers.
When you get around to testing those Berry's, please do a close up on the hollow points before and after. I'm wondering if those were used on some ragtag ammo I picked up a while back.
Good info. I definitely will get some good shots of the Berry's.👍
@@ToolsandTargets Grazzi! 🍻
Prices here fluctuate. We depend on shopping at local stores so it's basically whatever they get in. Some of the prices of 38, 380, and 45acp is coming down. 223 and 556 is
50cents a round or more.
Prices are all over the place.😣
Nice haul for the week! Love the 325 Hornady 45/70 look forward to you testing it as well as the 380 loads. Found some 115 grn Gold Dots and some Fort Scott 380 TUI on line. Plenty of NATO calibers and 12 gauge locally, prices not bad for clown world. Thanks for the video!
Clown world is about right.😆
Can’t wait until tomorrow we are going to look for some ammo and it’s going to be a busy weekend this weekend for us. Ammo is getting better in my area for selection.
Nice. We have races going on here this weekend so it's definitely gonna be a madhouse!😆
Yes Sir
Those 150 grain 10mm are Noslers. Nice haul again Tools. That 30-30 for $22 was sure a good deal too. And that extreme defender round is the best .380 I’ve ever seen. I’ve only seen the +p tested but it was impressive!
Roger that.👍 I'm definitely curious to see how these .380's do in the jelly.😎
@@ToolsandTargets I don't know where they got the difference from but when I bought some of mine years ago they were 65 grain plus p and I bought them and 9 mm + 380 and both plus p and I shot to domestic pigs one with the 380 between his and he eyes dropped he weighed 278 pounds got the other one with the 9 mm behind the ear and it dropped and had complete pass through and it look to have a lot of damage where it come through as going through you could tell they was a lot of damage and out of the Ruger LCP there is no recoil with a life 65g
Nice haul, tbh that 762 39 Is a right good deal, especially since it’s reloadable and brass, I’d pick up a few more of those if they’re still available.
They were all gone today. I got 4 boxes total. They might show back up and I'll probably get a few more then.👍
Nice haul there tools! Very excited to see more 380 testing.
If people out there Still having trouble finding the ammo then I don't know what to tell them lol. I believe the ammo has caught up a little bit but it is perfectly understandable if their area still has not. Some places are not the same as others.
Yeah, the good deals go fast. It's still not to the point it was in the good ol days for sure.
If it cannot pass through a 2x4 at 100 yards, it is not enough to dump a deer as well as a .357.
I am always learning something new about ammo prices and places to get them like Rural King, thanks so much!
Appreciate ya, brother!
Where I live in NW Ohio, 30.06 is scarce & what I can find is expensive..Now the thing is, in Ohio we can't deer hunt with 30.06, we can only hunt with Straight Walled high power cartridges, so, I can't figure out why it's so scarce 🤔
Wow, that's strange.
Just wouldn't be the Tools show without Ammo hunts and Jelly time 🤣 Happy to see you stocking up Tools!!! 👊 Good video bud!!! NEW TOOL TIME 🤣 it's hard for me to leave out a gun store without getting a new tool too. 🤣
Thank you sir. My problem is I can barely stop at just one!😆😆😆
Nice haul Tools. I like that you’re testing people’s reloads..it gives a nice base for people that reload. As far as ammo hunts for me is one big box store ( bass pro ) and a handful of local shops. It takes me all day to do that loop. And it’s been sparse the last few times. Yes I live in one of those states, but the community is alive and well.
Thank you ma'am. Having to drive any type of distance for ammo definitely makes it a lot tougher.
You read my mind with these Xtreme penetrator 380 Underwood's. I'm looking for the best load for my pocket carry , and between those and maybe a hard cast like a Buffalo Bore ....
Anyway , keep exploring this 380 thing , we need to crown a king. You're doing the Lord's work.
Appreciate ya, brother!
Must have been in a coma ? No idea how I missed you Thursday 🤔🤔 thanks to Jamie, Dietrich, Fred! Thanks for channel support guys. BL. you still have better choices of ammo in your local shops. 👍👍💯💢💥
Better late than never! Appreciate ya!
@@ToolsandTargets thanks Brian,
I picked up some .22 Federal Automatch .22LR 325 for $22; some .243 Federal Powershock for $22; and some .308 Federal Powershock for $23 all at Walmart. Not bad prices, so. I'll grab some here and there.
They have a pile of 350 Legend !
Nice! That's one good thing about 350 Legend for sure. It's pretty much easy to find everywhere.
I'm finding plenty of different ammo types around here, but the pricing looks better where you're at. Example, That box of Thunderbolts would be $49.00, 9mm is still $25.00 for 50 of target ammo, Winchester. 223 55gr is $15 for 20.
Oof.😣
Lots of supply and prices finally dropping in Arizona. Still has a ways to go before it's reasonable. I'm finally buying after 2 years!
That Undertaker Ammo is good stuff. Anytime you can find a box grab it.
Daughter's edc 9mm munches on the same "Lehigh", and my 12.7x42 truck companion likes that 420 Ext. Pen. You know the "drill." Pun intended.
😂😂😂
Rural king in butler pa always sells out before I get there the one in monaca pa always has full shelves
Stuff definitely goes fast when it's a deal.😆
They use wooden clubs in Monaca...
It just seems like yesterday that .30-.30 was 11 dollars per box. Based on these videos it seems like some of the rifle rounds are coming into a decent price again. But pistol is still really high. And 30-30 and .22lr is still astronomically high. I see availability bringing the prices down online some, but in my neck of the woods people are buying everything they can find regardless of price. Basically, all the "decent price" or "good price" comments is in comparison to the "highs" not to the "should bes".
Yeah, those ammo prices are gone for good, sadly.😣
@@ToolsandTargets Here's hoping for more pro2A politicians!
Tools out splurging this week for test supplies. Should make for many great videos.
Saw some of the Federal 150gr. 30-30 in the local Wally’s this week for $24/box. High, but not bad in todays economy. Dick’s also had some 30-30 this week as well, but it was $28/box for core 170 gr., so it looks like it’s starting to hit the market again.
I think the manufacturers let the contracts on hunting seeds expire so they could raise prices when they did start running ‘em again. It’s all about the 💰.
Awesome vid, keep ‘em coming!!!
I think you're right. All I know is hunters better grab it while they can and before the season starts back up. It's guaranteed to disappear again when it starts.
Can't wait to see the IMI testing. Thanks for all your work.
I'm very interested in those too.👍
Over the last 2 weeks the shelves at the Wal Marts around me have been full. They’ve had tons of .350 Legend, .30-30, .30-06, .270, .308, 00 buckshot & .410 to go along with the normal .22 lr & 12, 16, 20 birdshot. I’ve even found .17 hmr and .243 which I haven’t seen in a while. It sucks that .350 Legend has doubled in price, but luckily I built a good stockpile up before it went up.
Yeah, Wallyworld here has been doing pretty good lately too.👍
That rain messed with the racing activity today. Man I wish we had a Rural King down my way. Great prices. Maybe I'll get up there for the race one day and stock up on ammo while I'm there
Yeah, it was packed this morning with out of towners for the races.
What a great haul! I never get tired of watching you find ammunition and I agree on finding different selections I hit a lot of shops and stores but I don’t have the money to buy as much as I want. I probably have more than a lot of people and not as much as some but when I fill up a ammo can I immediately start on another one and at 3 cans wide they are growing up my walls
Stack em like a brick wall!😎👊
@@ToolsandTargets my wife says I need to buy a cheap safe just for ammunition cans because it’s too much money stacked up and she’s tired of my army green wall
@@robertharing7031 I gave up on gun or ammo safes. If I bought 4 or 5 more right now, they would be instantly full and still not enough to store everything. I just store my ammo in closets and shelves in one of my spare rooms. I've pretty much turned it into an armory.😂😂
@@ToolsandTargets I understand what you mean but my closet space is occupied by my two kids and wife’s stuff
36.99 for Thunderbolt is cheaper than WalMart at 39
CMP had 5000 rds of 22 for $300 last week.
True. It's a shame Thunderbolt is priced like this these days.😣
Not long ago thunderbolts were ~20$ a box :(
I shoot those Underwood .380 rounds and they are awesome for a "small cailber".
I'm hoping they do great in the jelly.😎
@@ToolsandTargets I think they will. I've only shot them in water jugs in .380, but it's the only time I decided to switch from Speer Gold Dot for carry ammo. I actually carry my .380 a lot in warm weather with shorts. I think it will do the job.
I've shot them hunting in 10mm and they are devastating and clean in flesh and bone! Its a spectacular bullet.
Yeah you know here in Georgia I am starting to see a lot more bulk because they're going back to production. I remember last year you could only find 50 rounds and 20 rounds boxes but now it's going back to having bulk options. And well they prices are average of the economy now
Yeah, prices aren't goin anywhere anytime soon I'm afraid.😣
I ran a few Belom 9mm and had pretty good experience with em. Man, Im definately anticipating the next test on the berrys hybrid.
I'm curious to see these Barry's work too.
I stick to ammoseek and only grab free shipping deals. Been very lucky with 9mm & 556. Somehow won an auction on a case of pmc xtac 55g 556 for 360 locally in Gettysburg.
Nice.😎
Great variety this week! Looking forward to many gel tests on a few of those for sure!! Interested in gel tests of the Hornady Critical Duty. Have you done any gel tests with those? I bought a couple boxes of those myself, so I’d be interested in seeing them tested. Thank you again for another great ammo run video my friend!!🇺🇸👍🏻
Thank you sir. I haven't tested any Critical Duty at all. I have some in a couple of other calibers too but never can find anything kinda comparable to put em up against. I'll probably just do these 9mm by themselves out of two different barrel lengths..👍
@@ToolsandTargets Perfect!! It’s the 9mm I have, so that would be awesome!! Thank you!!🇺🇸👍🏻
I always enjoy the ammo hunts and look forward to the testing 👍👍
Thank you sir. Appreciate that!
You’re building a mighty nice ammo collection. Nicely done.
Thank you sir. I seriously need to make a spreadsheet of what I have so I can plan out my testing better.
Hey Tools, 4.9 grains of CFE is pretty hot on those 147grain berry's. I'd think twice about running those through my tool. Don't blow your face off. As Johnny would say.
Hmmm. I'll have to do some looking at data to be safe.👍
T & T, really looking forward to your jelly tests of the Underwood loading of the 68g Lehigh bullet in .380.
I'm definitely looking forward to those myself. Hopefully they perform great.
Evening my brother. Keep
Your eyes on the road!!
This is one of them self-driving Durangos!😉
Nice haul this week Tools. Looking forward to see what you got in 350 Legend.
Thank you sir. I'm anxious to get it out and test it!
Thumbs Up nice haul this week. looking forward to seeing the new tool
Thank you sir. Should be a good one!
Ammo envy ! There are good places to find ammo, today for example i was in a wallyworld that is close to beach(didn't see guns) but had 22lr shotty & some rifle., couldn't see exactly as cpl people at counter but most I've seen in awhile was at a PSA store/range. That being said $$$ not in my budget at moment (again). But haven't had a chance to shoot what I have.. so there's that, lol
As long as ya got it!
The Armscore has been coming in clutch for me at the good ole RK
Yessir!
Norma Has the Tac-22 for 39 a box right now on their site.
I wish they would stop globbing so much waxy grease on those things.
@@ToolsandTargets man have you been shooting any SK or Eley? The SK is slick.... :-)
@@damingrail3655 I haven't tried any SK at but I wouldn't mind picking some up to do some accuracy testing with. The only Eley I have tried are the Benchrest Outlaws.
Great weekly ammo hunt , I always enjoy it , thanks
Thank you sir.😎👊
Wow, nice care packages !!! Thanks for the video !!
Very cool stuff for sure! Appreciate ya sir!
That hornady 124g critical duty is $32 at academy in NC
Ouch!
My son and I will be heading down to the tank museum in Danville. I am planning to check the ammo prices while there. I'm tired of Maryland prices 😒
Nice! It's race weekend down here in Martinsville this weekend. Gonna be a madhouse!😆
I know. I had to make a choice. My son won. Martinsville is my favorite track. Been going since 1976. Well missed a few years 😕
In Danville Dunhams has a decent high priced selection...the Wal-Mart often has fed automatic .22 at a good price...the gunshops will be hit/miss, with some odd calibers available...
I was off work all week went to rk in my area south east mo. Everyday same 5 calibers on the table all week with two over priced new 9 self defense rounds Tuesday morning was gone by Wednesday
It goes fast if it's a good deal for sure.
I drive for a living all over Michigan and Ohio I stop at RK and Cabela's at random times and I usually find stuff stock pretty decent other times not and I stop at smaller shops, so I stopped at rural King the other day they really didn't have nothing but behind the counter they had two big boxes of ammo they didn't put out yet and I asked about it one was 223 and the other was arms core 9 mm and I asked if I could have some of that arms core they opened it and I grabbed me four boxes of it I don't remember if it was 1499 or 1799.
Nice.😎
I have been watching you and other "Ammo Scouts" for quite a while and while I have for "Decades" depended on my reloading skills for my needs. I have a modest stock of commercial ammo for "Carry" purposes and of course all of my 22lr is commercial. At this point in my life at 78 years of age I have decided to box up all my reloading stuff for my children and grand children . With an amassed total of about 50k of ammo from 22lr , .380 to 45acp. 5.56/223 , 30 Carbine, and 22WMR.......I am done! Keep up the good fight for our sport and 2A rights.
Appreciate that sir! Good to see you passing it on to family!
Very nice haul were about the same here but 22lr you can get as many as you want Stay Safe and God Bless 🙏🙏
Appreciate ya, brother! There's no limits on it. I just grabbed 5 of em.
Ok so I did a things tools... I got a weekend job at RK to save $ on ammo and safes. Work 2 weekends shifts a month in the gun barn. Also I found that their little handheld scanner things let's workers see what the company paid for the ammo vs the retail price. That was some interesting knowledge.
Yeah, I see their cost on everything for the longest time now. That's why I try to get it through people's head's that they're not "jacking up prices" to make more profit. It's all up to what they pay for it.
@@ToolsandTargets mostly but there are somethings they make a lot on and somethings they lose money on. Like the 9mm Winchester 100rnd butter boxes, bought those for 28.90 selling for $38.99 now. But the igman 308 20 rnd box, they paid like $24 and selling out for what now? $17?
@@cvillefarmer That has nothing to do with keeping the same profit margins. They will always start dropping prices on things that sit and don't sell after time. They're losing over $200 on those 7.62 tracer cases right now. They paid right at $990 and have them marked at $699 now. Everything will always start at the same profit margins when it first hits the store. it's all a matter of what they pay for it.
@@ToolsandTargets now while I usually would agree with you, my local rk has had those igman 223 20rnd black boxes for over 18 months now, and they have lowered then raised the prices back up. They stated at like $15.99 a box in September of'20, then for awhile they dropped them down to $9.99 for like a month and slowly people started picking them up, now they raised the prices up to 12.99 then 13.99. Local Rk still has 6-7 cases of that igman 223 in stock.
@@cvillefarmer And they have never gone over the original starting price. That's my point. The price that something starts will never go up past that. I know this for a fact. like I said. I see every single cost in RK and have for years now.
Good stuff Sir. From what ive seen that 68 g Underwood is what i run in my LCP max in a short barrel's that stuff is like a sore pecker, ......tough to beat.
Cant wait to see the difference between 68 and 90 grain. So I hit the bell.
😂😂😂 Appreciate ya, brother!
You have better luck then I do, but I did find 9mm sig sauer 115 gr jhp 35 bucks for box of 50. They are the jhps with the standard brass case but otherwise same as the V Crown
Nice.😎
We have no ammo here in NJ and if you find some its like gold bar prices.
It's definitely ridiculously priced at a lot of places.😣
Wish we had a rural king close to where I live!
Definitely my favorite store.
I bought a 480 round case of the belom for my local indoor range and man my ak rips that brass apart! Aks just have a violent extraction I got a few reliable ones. If you’re not using an ak you can for sure reuse them.
I probably wont even use em much to be honest. Mainly just picked em up because I have thousands of rounds of steel 7.62x39 but didn't have a single round of brass.😆
@@ToolsandTargets same with me I have 7k steel and had no brass but my indoor range only allows brass. You’re blessed to shoot at home. Luckily I have woods spot I go to but man would it be nice to just bring one gun out and play rather than packing a bunch of stuff feeling like I have to bring multiple guns to use my time properly
Get out and look more then once. Plan on getting nothing sometimes. And find out when truck days are. It takes time to get what you want. Don’t plan on making one trip cuz you will fail. Happy hunting.

I see more online but dry in my area. Walmart has nothing so I have given up. Maybe they stopped carrying ammo at all. The shelves no matter what time are empty. Bass Pro has 9mm but high prices. Look for .357 mag SJHP at a reasonable price but nothing so far. I keep looking.
I hate having to buy online but sometimes I have to for certain things to test.😣
Great haul!!! Good video!! I got lucky and found 20 gauge high velocity buckshot and 16 gauge high velocity turkeys load

I paid 43 bucks for that same 6.5 hornady ... sportsmans had tons of 9mm and some 40, 380 and 45 acp. but no ammo for my ruger blackhawks
Definitely some expensive stuff.
For CFE pistol 4.9 grains is the starting load for 124 gr bullet with 5.5 gr max. 1006 fps vs 1120 fps. Hmm
Yeah, these 147's might be a little spicey.😆
Hey man it would be awesome to see you test a few rounds of Federal's new Punch package vs the old package (brass vs nickel plated), preferably 9mm (of course)
I can do that. Everything I have is the older nickel plated rounds until I picked this up.

I was at your RK tuesday , kinda low overall supply. Got some of those CCI brass 9mm. And did have .38 spl.in stock. Some say those IWI die cuts won't open up easily. Maybe run then in a longer barrel pistol.
Interesting. I know a lot of people have been asking about these IWI. Maybe I'll do a short and long barrel test on em.
@@ToolsandTargets I've found the IWI die cut's don't open as readily on a short barrel 9mm like my Shield or Ruger EC9S, but through my

I am not sure where you live, but it is Thursday.
I plainly explained at the very beginning of the video that these ammo videos go from Friday of the previous week to Thursday. Same as every single week I post them.
I have some of that 38spcl+P punch, some is gold box with the nickel plated cases and the black box is just brass case scamdemic ammo is why they changed box design to identify the brass case. All the punch 9mm i have is gold box nickel case with picture of ammo nickel, the black box ammo photo is brass colored I just realized lol! anyway just worth noting! also hornady critical defense used to be nickel case and I think you will find the newer stuff is brass case. Nice ammo load!! Might be a bit before I am looking for ammo again. work's slowwwwww! Let's go Brandon!! have a good one brother!
Yep, The current Punch I have is all gold box nickel plated too. Anything to save a few bucks and make more profit these days.😣
it is nice lookin brass though lol
Can't go wrong with Underwood. Anxious to see how the Berry reloads do. Good for Jamie for sending it. Had to laugh at comment on never having too much 22lr. Got 1,000 coming of the Tac-22 in next few days. If I can just get the grandkids to help shoot it. Hate twisting their arms. 😂😂
Nice! I'm very curious to see how the different powder improves these Berry's performance.
@@ToolsandTargets On that Hornady Leverevolution you might place a cinder block about 6 inches past last gel block. Lol. And recoil isn't as bad as some of the hard cast rounds. I hoping in 350 Legend you got a BFR but that's a little expensive. Good luck with the 350.
@@billdye3530 That BFR is rich folk money!😆
@@ToolsandTargets If you can on a BFR use it as a tax write off. For company security & research. 😜
It's ammo ammo ammo time ! 👍
Yessir!💥😎💥
$36.99 for 500 .22 ! Even in my starved ass area of the country I can still get 1200 count buckets for $60.00 ! Even though the shop I get most of my ammo from is owned by my friend I don't get it at cost ! The actual cost for him would shock you ! I told him I wouldn't broadcast the price but I can tell you people are really making money on ammo just because they fly off the shelf so fast ! Supply and demand !
Yeah, I see the actual costs of ammo at RK.👍
Another great ammo hunt
Thank you sir!
