There are ways ;)
VPN… Not hard.
I'd love to but sadly it's unavailable in my country
You can just use a VPN and you'll be fine. Proton VPN is a good free one that I use, if you don't want to or can't pay for one.
When will you take the channel into the entire European Union? 😭
Just use a vpn
wow so true, say it loud!!!
Just get a vpn, set it up and cancel it. My phone an laptop can access it now with no issues
@@jakedanx yeah, but you're using a free vpn or not? Because i cannot afford a money inscription vpn "just" because i have to watch the Criterion Channel...
@@luckily_unknown you cancel it. You can either get a free one or a paid one. The most you would have to pay would be about 8 quid. Tenner at the most.

Oh my goodness thank you! 🙏🏽 I was just about to leave a comment asking the channel to put this in the Description box, even though I wasn’t hopeful they’d do it. @BaileeWalsh
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥲❤️🤝🏻

Bring it to the U.K. and I will (sign up). Bring more discs to the UK and I’ll buy more. I love Criterion but it’s just not the same here.
We've got BFI Player and some Criterion discs (I'd also recommend Eureka Entertainment's Masters of Cinema Series and the BFI physical releases too) but I would love access to the Criterion Channel as it'd give us just as much as (if not more than) BFI and Eureka combined.
@@scottishfilmhistorian Yes, we have some fantastic boutique labels here in the U.K. Powerhouse/Indicator, Arrow, Radiance, and Eureka as you said. UK Criterion is slowly improving under Spirit Entertainment and I hope that continues. I’d like to see The Criterion channel here for new film discovery.
@@modestyblaise4167 Thanks for the recommendation. I hadn't heard of the others (except Arrow) and I'll check them out.
I have had the Criterion channel for 5 years now and there is an endless supply of great films. It has exposed me to films that I would never have otherwise seen, or even heard of.
*Sorry. This is currently unavailable in your region.
I want, no, NEED, this in The Netherlands.
I subscribed to the channel for first time about 3 or 4 years ago, continuously for over a year. I watched many dozens of mostly foreign films I had never heard of, and discovered the likes of Kurosawa, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Fellini, Rohmer, Truffaut, and many others. About two year ago I cancelled my subscription and started buying for first time my favorite Criterion Collection films on blu-ray that I had first seen/screened on the channel. I now subscribe to the channel for about one or two months, unsubscribe for a couple or three months, maybe buy a disc or two, then resubscribe as newer additions I'm interested in are added to the lineup. And so on. So for me the streaming service and its physical media arm compliment each other with great synergy.

When a trailer for a streaming movie channel brings a tear to your eye. I love you Criterion. You opened up my heart, my mind, and my life.
Please bring it to India 😢
VPN and done.
the streaming service has been existing for quite a few years already and it's STILL unavailable for a large number of countries.. so inconvenient (vpn saves)
Unavailable in Australia. Please bring it in Australia
I used ExpressVPN for the computer. I created a fake Apple ID that’s claims to be in the US so I can get Criterion Channel on my Apple TV.
VPN and done.
the song used is "Deliquesce" by the artist Baleen
You are Legends, Criterion! I owe you much for the things you've selected and promoted. Let's expect somehow I could help you too. ❤❤❤ 🤝 Please, provide your hard distrobution stores, and serve the Eastern Europe online as well! You truly are one of the best global companies in this niche. 🎉

Love the Criterion channel! Get coupon codes for the store as well. Got turned on to alot of great films and directors. Great price as well compared to other streamers.
Yes, price is great at $11/mo. What I really like is that when I unsubscribe but come back a few months later, my favorites in My List are still there.
Beautiful video!
Would love to subscribe immediately, but when is criterion channel coming to India?
Sorry. This is currently unavailable in your region.

Without this channel, I doubt I would have anywhere close to the film appreciation I do now. Italian cinema, Russian movies, offbeat comedies like "Working Girls" - you name it, and, chances are, if its quality, it, or something like it, has passed through this streaming service.
I would sign up in a heartbeat if the Criterion Collection was available in the UK. Come on guys! Why cant this be done? Is it a copyright thing or something?

Is there any chance you could stream “Paris, Texas” 4K remaster instead of the old one? Also a physical release would be sweet. 💜
I would love to sign up and start streaming the entire Criterion Collection...but it isn't available in New Zealand. WHY?!!
Rights
VPN and done.
What audio is that?
Can someone give me a list of films featured in this commercial?
Just want to note I fully intended to sign up, did the payment process on my iPhone and it wouldn’t give me an option to actually purchase the membership. The box was grayed out and no matter what card I entered it wouldn’t give me a completion option.
It’s only available in the US and Canada.
Best thing on the internet!
If this was available to me in the UK I would subscribe indefinitely
When you come to Malaysia Criterion? 😭
I'm enjoying the streaming service, but I think the the rights for some movies are screwing up my Canadian viewing. For example, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Josie & the Pussycats, and Collateral have all been marquee features of certain theme months. But they're not available to watch for me. It's disappointing because those are three movies I wanted to watch.

Need a time code for every single movie title!
I love criterion but I won’t fall for it. Now everything it’s subscription to get you hooked at a good price, then after a year let’s rise the prices! No thank you.
U sound like a luddite. It’s never that serious. 10.99 a month, that’s the price of a pie of pizza, cmon now lol. And they give coupons for the collection. this kind of streaming service is indispensable, some of the films on there you’ll have a hard time finding anywhere else.
@@JT_1998 if you want to pay for it, good for you. I personaly prefer to own my movies in hard copy and not relay on internet to be able to enjoy them. Belive me, they get more money out of you by hooking you up with cupons and sales. The best way to save money its not buying if you don't have to.
@@JT_1998 the app sucks because it doesn't have every criterion release available. I'm not gonna pay for films and content I don't care to watch like every other streaming service. I don't care if it's 5 cents a month.
@@Dovith well how much in turn are you spending a month on physical media? how much are you rewatching said films? these are questions that apply… streaming is great for ppl, cinephiles, who watch in excess. How do I look spending $100-200 a month on blind buys? When I could have spent just 10.99, maybe $20 if I have an additional streaming service, a month… the only downside like you said would be lack of variety, but I think you downplay how many films are on the criterion channel. They cycle and curate a ton of films each month…
@@shadowaccount well maybe if you are solely a criterion lover that’s a downside, but they curate a lot more than what’s in the collection.
The app sucks. Sure it has a few good movies for a few weeks , but it doesnt have the entire Criterion catalogue at all times, which it should. It makes no sense. Just make every Criterion film available on the app.
give me free access
Unavailable and the UI is clunky
Age of Innocence and Color of Money on 4K before Scorsese dies, please!
