i swear Marcel is the best tutorial artist i've seen so far. I've always had trouble to figure out stuff by myself and i am not really helped by my artist friends for reasons that are understandable, but as a beginner, your vids are a huge helper. I am now starting to figure out a lot of thing even tho i don't draw a lot these days. Recently, ive finally learned which shapes i should use and a leg is constructed, i am even trying to draw somekind of poses with my actual bases. Tho im still rather afraid by the transition between paper and digital, cuz one day i want to draw digital.

You are an incredible teacher and artist! Thank you so much for doing what you do and posting on here. I've recently reignited my old love for drawing and creativity, but so many years have gone since I've put pencil to paper that I felt discouraged and unsure of how to pick up from where my teenage self left off. I've been blowing through your videos and started filling up a sketchbook with the things I've learned from them, and I love how you explain everything and break it down into simple shapes and steps. Again, thanks so much!

Interesting anatomical difference between males and female (@ the 3:54 mark). The angle of the forearm and humerus is called the carrying angle. Women have a higher carrying angle (14 degrees vs 11 degrees on average) because of wider hips. The female arm literally looks more bent. This allows the arm to swing without hitting the hips.

If you try this video and suck at drawing females afterwards, there is nothing wrong with the video. You may need to do one of these things: a) learn the basic fundamentals. If you cant draw a cube or triangle in perspective, there ain't no way you're drawing a girl. b) draw along with the video and draw all the guidelines and sheets. c) practice by drawing real people and apply these guidelines to those drawings.
