Apparently you guys aren’t aware that bushmaster is currently in development with a new ACR…the question stands will it be better or just as good as some other offerings such as bren2, jakl, or any other reliable long or short stroke gas piston rifles. Excluding Scars because they are garbage 🗑🔥💩

bushmaster has gone downhill in recent years i wouldnt expect anything short of a steaming pile of smashed buttholes with a 2000$ base price the fact that they are wasting R&D time and resources on failed concepts and not just focusing on idk.....a 7.62x51 di rifle says a lot about where theyre heads are at,..... a dark stinky hole @@hackdaplanethobbes
It really is a shame that Remington/Bushmaster ruined the ACR.
Magpul was NEVER going to produce it... So I wouldn't say anybody ruined it. If anything they gave you a small taste of it... Because otherwise it was just vaporware, and you'd never got any closer to owning one than a photo uploaded on a gun forum.
Remington produced a functional firearm from a barely working prototype and there wasn't any significant change from the concept Magpul came up with.

Bushmaster produced the civilian model of the Military Remington ACR. I have the Bushmaster ACR with OG quick change barrel. The commercial failure of the platform isn't the fault of Remington. It was Cerberus Capital Management who bought them & created Freedom Group. Freedom Group drove Bushmaster, Marlin & Remington all into the ground. NYC based investors F'd it up. Not Remington. The commercial failure of the platform in no way is a stain on the platform itself. The ACR rocks!!

Masada/ACR stock is still THE best stock I've ever used. It is too bad that Magpul stopped making them...the ~180 dollar stock is selling for north of 300-400 bucks.
Exactly! Please bring back the acr stock magpul! Otherwise the next best thing is the b&t mbt rifle stock, usually around 260 can be had.
I'm really, really hoping that they either bring them back or Franklin Armory bought the tooling from them for when they start making ACRs again.
I am the current Mechanical Engineer, Lean Quality Process Engineer for the original tool and die maker that made the molds for Richard Fitzpatrick in Boulder, Colorado. We aren't a firearms tool and die consultant these days, but still always amazing to see the heritage and legacy of Magpul and that connection to our shop in Colorado. Good stuff.

Also the Masada always brings a tear to the eye. Such a cool, innovative rifle.
Love Magpul stocks. The CTR should be the base stock Magpul should make. You would be surprised at the number of manufacturers who position a MOE on complete carbines. A new user will utilize and think all Magpul stocks rattle and look for other options.
I still can't get my head around people being bugged by a really minor amount of rattle. They're probably the same people who think they need to spend a hundred plus dollars on a captive spring and buffer system to get rid of the "sproing."
put a 1x1 square of velcro (loop side) on top your buffer tube at the end and that rattle goes away!
As someone who owns acr in California it’s a honor owning a unicorn 🦄 thanks magpul . That was my first firearm I ever got in 2015 at age 25 . thanks call of duty . It has saved my life on overland adventures if could talk it would have stories for days in the mountains or desert on hunts . I have built guns nothing compares to my og gun that’s never jammed or failed me .
I love this kind of company. All in, great product, important product available to everyone, standing by the principles of the product. Glad they're in Wyo.

The SL-S stock is one of my favorites on my AR's. I don't use the storage compartments for much but the cheekweld is perfect for me.
Doesn't the SL offer the same cheekweld without the extra weight?
@InvidiousIgnoramus Not exactly, the angle is the same on the sides of the SL and SL-S, but the SL-S is wider with a bit more real-estate. Works good for using optics, opinions vary.

I remember when I bought magazine grips from this small company called Magpul way back. No more duct tape and paracord. Look how far Magpul has come. God speed.
I still own the original M93 with aluminum strike plate. Pity that strike option is no longer available.
Anyone notice the original Translucent PMAGS. Magpul needs to bring the ACR back. Give Templar Precision a hand in making this a reality.

price was around $3,500 for all the parts that I wanted. If he made bolt carriers and the guide rods, the system woukd basically be complete. If Magpul stepped up and made the ACR Stock abd rubber buffer and have Dana make about 20 guns and Auction them off to raise funds for the project. It would be cool.
They don't own the design rights to the ACR anymore. Bushmaster, now owned by Franklin Armory, does. They're working on bringing it back though.
@@InvidiousIgnoramus Go to 6:10 in the video. Magpul didn't sell the design to Bushmaster, they licensed manufacturing of the ACR to Bushmaster. Bushmaster has said that they were bringing it back for years at this point and has shown no results and have recently removed it from their website. That's quite a good indicator that its not coming back. Whether it comes back or not, only time will tell and I don't think its coming back.

glad I'm not the only who was thinking that, sga stock and zhukov handguard looks great adapted on Beretta 1301, I think that something similar for the Benelli m4 (but also M2) would be great.

And so they left the state. Colorado never made them leave.
@HWG-wm8ld Their main product was a 30 round mag in a state that had just banned mags above 15 rounds. They were forced out due to this.

I believe the sl-s is the best stock. Fits like a glove against the face, and shoulder. Id be all over a storage version of the DT, and the MOE pr with a similar cheekweld profile to the sl-s

Definitely enjoy my share of Magpul products, all the ARs I've put together run at least one Magpul furniture part on them, if not both stock and grip (one exception has a Hogue overmold stock, if there was a CTR+ stock I'd run that).
My only wish is for Benelli shotgun support, M4 forend and stock would be immensely appreciated.
The most solid adjustable stock I've ever used in over 23 years as an instructor, armorer and builder is the UBR. That thing feels like I could beat a buffalo to death with it.
Man I really wish you all made a CQB/PDW style stock. Maxim is the only one that makes them right now and they're $400+ dollars
Please bring back the PRS Gen 2. It was better than the Gen 3 by having a metal rail at the bottom of the cheek. Or at least have it as the "Classic" version and keep making that.
I love the acr just wish i had a akm lower to complete it!!! It needs to come back it has been a foundation for many other platforms to mimic since its release… a shame the rights got sold !!!!

Magpul, please release an “MOE X-22/Hunter X-22” style stock for the Ruger PCC version that have either the Ruger OEM CNC-milled or Midwest Industries hand-guard as the PC Backpacker stock’s hand-guard and the rear stock’s locking interface that attaches the barrel assembly to the receiver is not needed. This option would be great for us living behind enemy lines like in California, Massachusetts, etc. who currently can’t have Ruger’s OEM pistol grip/adjustable stock versions of the PPC. 🙏
So many guys that own DD rifles are going to buy this new stock.

I like Magpul magazines, grips and foregrips and have lots of them, but to be honest I like Fab Defence GL-CORE and MFT minimalist stocks better. Although the MOE SL-S is great for a DMR.
Almost all my rigs have Magpul furniture. Top level kit.
My belt is magpul, as are a lot of my jackets 😂

All of my rifle mags are magpuls except 2; a pair of lancer translucent 20 rounders.

what sort of jobs are there at magpul? I've been super passionate about firearms of all kinds (mainly long guns cause I do not like handling pistols and revolvers whatsoever) but I've never know how to get a job related to firearms aside from retail sales at a store
