If you would clone the bGAL before the GFP then they wouldn't be linked right? Because the bGAL gene has a stop codon in the end so it would make the GFP and bGAL separately?

There are lot of protein tags - Lets say V5, FLAG, HA You can tag a protein and then raise an antibody against the tag. This way you can visualize your protein of interest. (Short answer)
