    I don't think that Randy Moss would have been quite as great without the mentoring he got from CC.

      IMO, Carter is still a top 3 all-time WR. It's Rice, Moss, Carter.

      @@TKFOH I'll take Carter 80 over both of them.

    Vikings have been so blessed with everything but a Super Bowl. Rb and Wr and pass rushers off the chart.

    Still have my 80 jersey from when I was a little kid. I remember crying when my dad told me he wasn’t a Viking anymore.

    A 21 minute highlight video of just (quick cut) TD’s
    What an incredible career. His body of work is far closer to Jerry Rice than people realize…..

    He had a great HOF induction speech. He was a screwup at Ohio State and with the Eagles. He apologized to everyone like an AA 12 stepper. Hard not to root for someone who hit bottom and turned it into a fabulous career.

    And this video was just CC's TD's. Think how many one handed catches he made and all the toe taps to stay inbounds?

    • @funkydunkleman

      That was a hard part, I think his greatest catches were first downs not touchdowns haha

    What If Scenario: What if Brad Johnson doesn’t get hurt in 1998?
    - Do the Vikings still break the scoring record?
    - Do we win the NFC Championship that year?
    - Do we commit to Brad Johnson long term and not draft Daunte in 1999?
    - Does Jon Gruden win a Super Bowl in Tampa?
    - Does the Johnson-Moss combo buoy Brad Johnson into being the definitive 2nd best QB in franchise history?
    No disrespect to Cunningham, just fascinating the chain reaction caused by a sprained ankle

    • @funkydunkleman
      @funkydunkleman  Рік тому +2

      Interesting hypothetical.
      Jeff George never comes to town.
      The team wins it all with Brad in 98 99 or 2000, Robert Smith decides to play another year,
      So they pass on Michael Bennett in 2001,
      and to fill the hole left by John Randle, they pick Kyle Vanden Bosch at the end of the first round, who provides near elite DE play for the rest of the decade.
      The team plays good enough for Denny to not get fired. Tice remains OLine coach.
      Robert Smith retires after the 2001 season, and instead of drafting Raonall Smith in round two, they find their new RB, Clinton Portis.
      Ok I guess that's enough

    • @isaacs3822
      @isaacs3822 Рік тому

      Portis dominates, Brad Johnson shows his age so by the 2007 draft we pass on Adrian Peterson to take our future of the franchise… Brady Quinn… 😬

    This team should of won At least won 2 or 3 superbowls in the last 25 yrs with the players they had.. 2 of the best WR’s ever.. 3 diff amazing QB’s, 3 different running backs a couple good TE’s and great defenses.. the teams they had, 1 of the best kickers ever and missed game winning field goal in the playoffs.. went 35 for 35 in FG’s and 59 for 59 in extra points during the season, go figure.. Minnesota has had some crushing losses over the last 20+ yrs.. but when you have players like Cunningham, Carter, Moss, Robert Smith, Jake Reed, Glover, Gary Anderson.. and that defense.. should of won AT LEAST 2 SB’s

    It's a damn shame that Cris Carter didn't get a super bowl ring that he definitely deserves like seriously he really really could have had at least just one if not for Gary Anderson missed that field goal in the 1998 NFC Championship Game vs Atlanta that's so sad man and painful too
